RACE 1

PERFECT LOU (3) couldn’t win through his first campaign but ran well a number of times and looks to be dropping in grade into this race. His latest outing saw him finish second at Albion Park behind Miss Bluetrump who was very impressive in a recent win at Redcliffe. He should be hard to beat.

VICE CHAIRWOMAN (2) is a full sibling to Vindicate who did a lot of her racing in QLD. She showed good gate speed in NZ and ran quite well when finishing fourth in her latest start after leading. She looks capable in a race of this nature.

TUSCANS COURAGE (1) sat without cover last start at Marburg and battled on nicely to run third there behind Along The Way and Respect the Miki. He had trialled up reasonably prior to debuting and third up into this race should be nearing peak fitness.

PHOTO BOMB (7) has numerical form that doesn’t suggest this horse is near a win. He has shown ability when doing things right and seemingly showed improved manners last start when running sixth at Redcliffe.

SELECTIONS: PERFECT LOU (3), VICE CHAIRWOMAN (2), TUSCANS COURAGE (1), PHOTO BOMB (7)

SUGGESTED BET: PERFECT LOU (3) to win.

RACE 2

STUDLEIGH ANNE (1) two starts ago was able to finish a close up third behind Son Of The Shark who is racing very well. She looks to find a more suitable race here where she might be able to find the front and should run well from there.

SAN SABA (6) looks likely to get an ideal run through on the back of stablemate Studleigh Anne. She was able to find the leaders back on Princess Arna last time out and they ran a genuine tempo through seeing her just get a touch tired late to run sixth.

SPLASHNDASH (5) was left without cover last time out outside of Western Bill. He battled away well enough there to finish sixth. He may be left to do the work again from a poor draw in this race.

SHEREACTS (7) elected to lead last start which didn’t suit her seeing her badly over race out in front and fade late into a distant fourth behind The Blingster. She should be better suited sat up and saved for one run in this race.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH ANNE (1), SAN SABA (6), SPLASHNDASH (5), SHEREACTS (7)

SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH ANNE (1) to win.

RACE 3

MERGE RIGHT (4) started the rank outsider in a strong stand start last time out at Albion Park and tired badly after challenging for the lead early. She was seemingly just a bit out of her depth there working hard early against Tyson and French Fries and should find this race a lot easier. If she leads she should take plenty of running down.

GRACENAVA (9) ran home best to score two starts ago at Albion Park over the 2138. She then finished just beyond midfield in a strong race taken out by Princess Arna. With a safe beginning she can be running on late in this race.

MAJOR SLIP UP (10) he ran a good second three starts ago when sitting outside the leader and battling on well. He then got a long way back two starts ago and ran on nicely late. He starts outside the second row as a result of his ODS tag. He will likely need to do work at some stage.

BEAU STEELE (8) raced behind the leader last start and was well beaten in fast time for the grade. He generally races well from the stand starts and should be close enough in the run with a safe beginning.

SELECTIONS: MERGE RIGHT (4), GRACENAVA (9), MAJOR SLIP UP (10), BEAU STEELE (8)

SUGGESTED BET: MERGE RIGHT (4) to win.

RACE 4

MOLLIDOR (1) needs a few things to go right in her races to figure. She likes racing at this track and has run well out in front a number of times. She looks likely to be able to lead and should run well from there. She was well beaten last start at Marburg but she was forced to race off the pegs there and they did roll an even tempo throughout.

OUTER CHANGE (6) started outside the back row last start and was making up some ground late to finish seventh. She should get a much better run through this time on the back of a gate speed horse and should get her chance late.

SPORTY AZZ (4) is never well suited when drawing gate 1 as he is a horse that has very little gate speed which saw him shuffled back last time out. He appears well graded in this race and if the race is run to suit he should be running on late.

WILLROBY (9) ran on nicely two starts ago behind Get Me Outta Here coming from last in the run. He has seemingly been better in his past two runs and should find this a lot easier than some of his recent outings.

SELECTIONS: MOLLIDOR (1), OUTER CHANGE (6), SPORTY AZZ (4), WILLROBY (9)

SUGGESTED BET: OUTER CHANGE (6) each way.

RACE 5

MARTIN MAGIC (9) ran brilliant time in a recent stand start trial beating French Fries. Has been impressive since landing in QLD having won three in a row to remain undefeated in the state. He should be very hard to beat again.

BONNIES CAM (5) was a winner five starts ago when leading all the way at Redcliffe over the 2040. He is usually a good stand start horse and has scored previously from the stand start at this track and trip. He is usually a quick beginner and can run a good race if he leads.

EDWARD JAY (2) trialled impressively from the stand start when beaten 21.6m in a stand start trial the winner rated a very fast 1.56.3 mile rate. He was first up last start and was well beaten but the winner rated good time and he was a long way off them in the run which isn’t generally how he does his best racing.

JEKAMIAS (3) sat without cover last start and battled on well there behind Sweet Addition. He has been racing well and if he can step well in this race he has genuine each way claims.

SELECTIONS: MARTIN MAGIC (9), BONNIES CAM (5), EDWARD JAY (2), JEKAMIAS (3)

SUGGESTED BET: MARTIN MAGIC (9) to win.

RACE 6

IDEAL TIGER (1) burned hard last start before handing over to Lets Go Bailey and sitting behind the leader in the run. He battled on well enough to suggest that if he led in a race of this nature he would likely be quite hard to beat.

KEAYANG TARA (6) got back two starts ago and ran on reasonably there to finish midfield in a race taken out by Lets Go Bailey. She should get a good run through behind Ideal Tiger and if the runs come at the right time she could be in the finish.

LULU LUCIFER (5) was a winner four starts ago when finishing best at Albion Park. She is likely to get back in the run from a wide draw and will need a genuine early tempo to bring her into the race.

PROSPECTUS (4) was able to work to the front last start at this track before being run down late by Teachers Pet who was well graded in that race. She will likely look to get forward again and may need do the work outside the leader this time.

SELECTIONS: IDEAL TIGER (1), KEAYANG TARA (6), LULU LUCIFER (5), PROSPECTUS (4)

SUGGESTED BET: IDEAL TIGER (1) to win.

RACE 7

TILLY JAYNE (9) was beaten just 5 metres by the in form Cotchinellie last start after racing off the pegs. That looks a clear standout form reference and if he can put herself into a position up on speed she is likely to be very hard to beat in this race.

QUEEN LILIBET (8) proved too good last start when securing a good run close to the speed and running past Miss Froufrou. She has been in good form and has some versatility. If she can secure a good run close enough to the speed she could be hard to beat.

IM BOO (7) was able to find the front three starts ago where he does his best work and was able to hold off Aqua Sancta. He is generally best suited when able to get up on speed which may prove tricky in a race where a few runners are likely to be keen to hold forward positions.

LENNY LINCOLN (2) did plenty of work last start to get outside the leader and just got tired late to finish seventh albeit not beaten far. He was a winner when leading all the way his start prior and ran fourth in a recent stand start trial.

SELECTIONS: TILLY JAYNE (9), QUEEN LILIBET (8), IM BOO (7), LENNY LINCOLN (2)

SUGGESTED BET: LENNY LINCOLN (2) to win.
