Form Analysis: Albion Park April 24

24 April 2026

RACE ONE

Despite landing the car park gate, AMAMI (7) has versatility and faces a nice drop in grade to tackle this assignment. Locked away on the inside last time, he worked into open space and finished hard to take victory. 3rd to ATTACHMENT three back, this is well within reach.

 SIR RICHARD LEE (4)
has good speed off the arm and from this gate can fire some early bullets. Stung by gate 6 in each of his past three starts, four back he was able to claim victory from gate 1 after taking cover and finishing best. He can issue the challenge.

 I GOT CHILLS (6)
will benefit from his last start when resuming from a spell. That was in a standing start event when making an early error. Despite a wide gate, he is a podium hope.

 FIRE RAISER (9)
held the trail two starts back and chased home for the silver behind PATH TO GREATNESS. Beaten by gate 6 last start, he can follow through early to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: AMAMI (7), SIR RICHARD LEE (4), I GOT CHILLS (6), FIRE RAISER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: AMAMI (7) to win

RACE TWO

Stepping out in Qld for the first time here last week, ROSTOVA (5) was snagged back from outside the front line. Making a sustained run over the last 600m, she reeled them in and claimed a smart first up victory at 2138. With added fitness, she can chase the repeat.

 BUBBA NAY (2)
eased off the gate last start before making good metres in the latter stages to be 5m from the winner IMANI. Striking trouble the start prior at Marburg, she has the gate to be handy to the action and issue a challenge.

 IMANI (6)
finally secured a breakthrough here last week after a string of minor placings. Holding the front from gate 1, she took them all the way but faces a tougher test from this gate.

 LLANFAIR LLEWELLAN (4)
has good speed when the arms fold and from this alley can look to be in a forward position. Runner-up two starts back at Redcliffe, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS:
ROSTOVA (5), BUBBA NAY (2), IMANI (6), LLANFAIR LLEWELLAN (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ROSTOVA (5) to win

RACE THREE

This looks like an open contest over the middle trip where BAIL DENIED (12) might just be the one. Grabbing the bronze last start behind IMANI, he struck trouble the start prior at Redcliffe after trying to make a wide run. The gate makes it a tough ask, but he can be making the raid.

 ROLLING BONUS (8)
sat in the pocket trail last time out after taking the trail from gate 1. Losing momentum when the winner made its move wider on the track, he squeezed off and ran on to grab the silver. If seeing the gaps in time, he can throw down a challenge.

 LITTLE SURFER GIRL (1)
was pushed forward from a wide gate last start at this trip and asked to sit parked, fought on for the bronze behind ROSTOVA. The improved gate can see her feature.

 JUSTROLLINGAROUND (3)
worked in the early stages to control last start over this trip but could not fend them off when fading to midfield. From this gate she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: BAIL DENIED (12), ROLLING BONUS (8), LITTLE SURFER GIRL (1), JUSTROLLINGAROUND (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
BAIL DENIED (12) to win

RACE FOUR

Making a late raid to grab the silver last start, LITTLELIONELJAMES (1) has good speed to make the most of this draw. A career PB winner when dictating from gate 2 at his last win, the barriers and race shape have not helped in recent starts. This looks like his race to grab hold of.

 I OF THE HURRIKANE (7)
lands another tough gate after her two runs since arriving with the new stable have been from gates 6 and 9. Beaten an eyelash first up when sent to the front and grabbed in the last strides, she can press forward to throw down the challenge.

 JUST A COOL DUDE (6)
can do plenty wrong but at his best, this is a race in which he could feature. Descending on them to post an 11m margin four starts back, channeling that performance is needed here.

 MERGE RIGHT (2)
has worked her way back into some good form with wins in three of the past four starts. Grabbing a narrow margin here on Tuesday from the trail, she will be right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: LITTLELIONELJAMES (1), I OF THE HURRIKANE (7), JUST A COOL DUDE (6), MERGE RIGHT (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:
LITTLELIONELJAMES (1) to win

RACE FIVE

Burrowing through from gate 1 to hold the front last time out, RUBY RHAYNE BOW (5) pulled clear in the latter stages to post a 15m margin highlighted by a 26.5 closing panel. Runner-up the start prior, she has the speed to capitalise.

 MISTER FREEMAN (1)
sat in the trail and was one of very few runners to make any impact on the passing lane on the newly laid deck here last week. Grabbing 2nd behind the NSW Oaks bound IMA BOOTY SHAKER, he has the gate and options to make his presence felt.

 WICKED SUSAN (10)
returns to kick off her 4YO term following a successful close out to her season with a dominant Redcliffe win back in December. Not seen at the trials, the gate stings fresh.

 GOTTAGO BARNEY (3)
worked forward last start to find the front and once in control was able to fend them off for his first win of the season. He can look to build off that and chime in again.

SELECTIONS: RUBY RHAYNE BOW (5), MISTER FREEMAN (1), WICKED SUSAN (10), GOTTAGO BARNEY (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

ROYAL WINKLE (4) was sent to the post as the odds-on elect last start from gate 4 at Redcliffe where he was forced to sit parked. In for the fight, he was grinding to the line when just a half-neck in arrears. Luckless the start prior, he finds a suitable assignment here.

 DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (6)
showed early hustle from gate 2 at Marburg last time out and working to the front was able to fend off the challengers to claim a 13m margin. Despite the wide gate, she can work in her races and can issue the challenge.

 MISS HATTIE (5)
finished best to score at Redcliffe two starts back after being buried in the run. Gate 7 and a checkered trip dented her claims last start and she can feature with better luck.

 GHOST TRAIN (2)
has some early hustle and from this gate can look to get handy to the action. Missing the money last time out at Redcliffe, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL WINKLE (4), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (6), MISS HATTIE (5), GHOST TRAIN (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ROYAL WINKLE (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

Sent out the fav from this same gate here last week, VICTREE CHARLIE (7) was looming strongly into the contest, only to be reeled in over closing stages by BELMER BETTY. Runner-up the start prior which had followed victory, despite the wide gate he will again be a player.

 COOL DUDE JOEY (6)
was a winner at the mile here two starts back when descending on them wide off the track to post a 3m margin. Tackling a tougher line up last start, his chances ended after making an error. Finding the right spot will assist his hopes of challenging.

 BLACK GEMSTONE (8)
has the second line options as the lone runner drawn out the back. Placed at here past four in succession, the latest when 3m away, she can be chiming in again.

ALSROKSTAR (3) has speed off the arm and from this gate can look to find the poles in the early stages. Holding 3rd behind VICTREE CHARLIE at his last appearance at this track, he has minor claims.

SELECTIONS: VICTREE CHARLIE (7), COOL DUDE JOEY (6), BLACK GEMSTONE (8), ALSROKSTAR (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
VICTREE CHARLIE (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

With a consistent season where he has hit the board in eight of 11, IGNITE (8) can look to add a second win to those figures for 2026. Runner-up at his past three in succession, the latest when chasing home NATTY PAGGER, he can get off the tapes to stake his claim for victory.

 VOLTAIN (5)
should appreciate a return to the big deck after making an error last start at Redcliffe. Chasing the start prior as SOUTHERN DIAMOND capitalised, she faces easier opposition for this assignment and from 10m can issue the challenge.

 ILLUSORY FEAT (6)
was forced to work last start and faded over the latter stages as the run took a toll. Collared late after setting the speed the start prior with a 3rd, the standing start is the concern.

 CASCATA (9)
held on for the bronze two starts back under mobile conditions and then here on Tuesday was only 2m from the winner FREDIDRIVSAMERCURY. If she trots cleanly, she is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: IGNITE (8), VOLTAIN (5), ILLUSORY FEAT (6), CASCATA (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
IGNITE (8) to win

RACE NINE

Runner-up in five of nine for the season, LEOTA (4) might have found the right conditions to claim a 2026 win that is proving elusive. Making good meters in the closing stages from deep field last time behind KASH FUND, the start prior he was buried as MISTER FREEMAN scored at Redcliffe.

 BENNYDASOOK (1)
was first up in 2026 at Redcliffe last time out when showing the early speed to take control but then made a costly error. A return to the big deck will be in his favour and with the benefit of the inside gate and options, can throw down the challenge.

 MALARKY (2)
has placed in three of her past four starts, the latest after a gritty effort to be under 3m from the winner KASH FUND. With early options from this gate, she is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: LEOTA (4), BENNYDASOOK (1), MALARKY (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:
LEOTA (4) to win
