Form Analysis: Albion Park April 10

10 April 2026

RACE ONE

Placed in three of his past five starts, the set up looks right for IDEAL TIGER (5) to secure a breakthrough on a deck where his win conversion is not that high. Starting from outside the second line last start, he was strong late when 1m from the winner after starting fav.

 SPORTY AZZ (8)
has finished runner-up at his past two starts, the latest at Marburg when working home strongly wider off the track to be just a head from the winner. Forced to work in the run the start prior, he can follow the poles here and be searching for the gaps to challenge.

 ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (10)
settled rearward at Redcliffe last start and when set free reeled them in to take a 3m victory. Runner-up in two of his previous three, he is in the mix again here.

 MOLLIDOR (1)
has good early speed and from this gate set the tempo last start. Leading all bar the stride that counted in finishing 2nd, she has all the options to feature.

SELECTIONS: IDEAL TIGER (5), SPORTY AZZ (8), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (10), MOLLIDOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: IDEAL TIGER (5) to win

RACE TWO

An improved gate might just be the catalyst for PRECOCIOUS KATE (4) recapture winning form and break a winning drought that is about to hit 12 months. Snagged back from a wide gate at 2138 last start before running on late for the bronze, the form has been franked out of that race.

 AUNTY FRANCES (5)
was a winner here three starts back when eased from this same gate before finishing best to take a narrow margin. Midfield last start at Marburg, positioning cheaply will be the key to her chances of issuing the challenge here.

 JUSTROLLINGAROUND (6)
secured the right tempo and chased strongly to score at this trip two starts back. 8m away last time at the middle trip, she is a podium player in this line up.

 TIGER TOMMY (3)
found the 1x1 trail at Redcliffe last start and made some late metres for the silver. Settling close to the speed will assist his chances of a podium finish.

SELECTIONS: PRECOCIOUS KATE (4), AUNTY FRANCES (5), JUSTROLLINGAROUND (6), TIGER TOMMY (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
PRECOCIOUS KATE (4) to win

RACE THREE

Another even heat of the April NR75 series where the in-form BUDDY PERFECT (10) can look to capitalise. With versatility, he has hit the board at his past six in succession, which includes a pair of wins. Running the smart PATH TO GREATNESS to 3m last start, he can swoop late.

 SWEET AGENDA (7)
has returned from a spell in top order, scoring consecutive victories at Redcliffe from wide gates. Sent hard off the arm last start to find the front before releasing, she then had the closing speed to take a 4m margin. Despite another tough gate, she can challenge.

 MEGS BOY (9)
returns from a NSW trip that featured a solitary start but a big win. Leading up from gate 1, he spaced his rivals with a 21m margin in slick time and a 54.1 close out. From the gate, he will be needing space.

 GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (3)
has good early speed and from this gate can look to chase a spot near the front end. Placed the past two starts at Redcliffe, the latest behind CHARGE AHEAD, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: BUDDY PERFECT (10), SWEET AGENDA (7), MEGS BOY (9), GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
BUDDY PERFECT (10) to win

RACE FOUR

Winless in 14 attempts here at HQ, BETTOR CHEER (2) was only a neck from the winner here two starts back when eased from gate 7 before closing smartly. Wide off the track from outside the front line at Marburg last start, an improved gate can see him turn the fortunes here.

 MISS BAY KING COLE (3)
tackled a mare’s qualifier last start and from inside the second line faded in the closing stages. Forced to sit parked the start prior when rolling forward from gate 5, she finds a suitable assignment to get forward and throw it down here.

 PRINCE JOY (5)
has been thereabouts in recent starts at Redcliffe, with two minors and a win in his past five. Attempting to convert it here to the big deck, the gate makes it a tough ask.

 ROSIES BOY (8)
shoots for a hat-trick after wins here and at Marburg in his past two starts. Pressing forward and taking control last start, he will be searching for the openings.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR CHEER (2), MISS BAY KING COLE (3), PRINCE JOY (5), ROSIES BOY (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
BETTOR CHEER (2) to win

RACE FIVE

The right conditions and drop in grade were the tonic for VICTREE CHARLIE (7) to secure a third career victory last time out. Owning superior closing power to cruise past the pack with 11m to spare on the wire, he can ease from the wide gate and look for the rinse and repeat.

 THREENTWO (6)
found the right set up here two starts back and after being repelled for the lead proved too strong in grinding out a 6m victory. Striking trouble last start from the second line, she can be sent forward here and near the action issue a challenge.

 ICANANDIWILL (10)
settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was trying to launch a late rally when finishing 4m astern of the winner MIARKA. Tempo will assist his chances of running on late.

 COOL DUDE JOEY (4)
was locked away on the poles at Redcliffe last start and grabbed a late split to get the bronze. Runner-up to VICTREE CHARLIE the start prior, he has claims here.

SELECTIONS: VICTREE CHARLIE (7), THREENTWO (6), ICANANDIWILL (10), COOL DUDE JOEY (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
VICTREE CHARLIE (7) to win

RACE SIX

Hitting good form to make it three on the trot last start, the wide gate can be overcome by NELLIE JOY (6) to add another win here. Dictating from the front over the mobile mile last time in smart time, the start prior was a tough effort when parked from this same gate at this trip. She can go again.

 CALL ME TROUBLE (11)
is enigmatic but at his best this would be a race in which he could issue a challenge. Chasing home wide off the track after easing from gate 7 last start, he made an error the start prior as SASSY GALLEON scored. If he trots, he can challenge.

 WHIRLWIND WILBUR (8)
will be relying on some luck at some stage from this gate to find open space. 6m from NELLIE JOY two starts back from the trail, he will be probing for openings.

 ILLUSORY FEAT (1)
led them up over this trip two starts back and from the front was able to fend off the challengers to score. Under 6m from the winner last start from a 20m tape, mobile conditions appeal.

SELECTIONS: NELLIE JOY (6), CALL ME TROUBLE (11), WHIRLWIND WILBUR (8), ILLUSORY FEAT (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:
NELLIE JOY (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

Hitting the board in all four starts since crossing the Tasman SWEET DIOR (6) should appreciate a return to this restricted win grade after tackling a NR70 event last start. Starting a short price fav in that event, she was collared late over 2138 by MOOPS. The wide gate can be negated.

 ZEEZEEZOOM (7)
chases a winning hat-trick after winning on this deck and then last start at Redcliffe. Dictating to score with 4m to spare at this trip, she then took them all the way at Redcliffe, starting deep in the red on both occasions. Despite the car park, she can throw it down.

 ETERNAL BLISS (5)
was chasing a hat-trick of wins last start when sent to the post in red figures from a second line gate over 2040 at Redcliffe. Runner-up to KING BLING, she can place again.

 IM BUSTED (1)
should appreciate a soft trip in behind the speed and lands the right marble to achieve that. A Redcliffe winner four runs back from the front, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: SWEET DIOR (6), ZEEZEEZOOM (7), ETERNAL BLISS (5), IM BUSTED (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:
SWEET DIOR (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

IN a tricky trotting contest, a drop in grade might work in the favour of ALADDIN SANE (11) which should be fitter following two runs back from a spell. Not warming up last start, if he can produce the effort of two starts back when 4m from NELLIE JOY, that will see him go close in this.

 CASCATA (12)
can be a hard follow but if she can do everything right, she can certainly issue a challenge. On the short back up from mobile conditions on Tuesday when just behind the placings as IVANKA dictated, if she can start and trot, she is up to this.

 ICANTDOIT (5)
is now a 5YO mare that will be stepping out for her first race appearance since November 2023 where she broke maiden ranks. With just one trial to prepare, she stays under watch.

 IGNITE (8)
has been runner-up at his past two starts, the latest when trying to launch the closing raid but finishing 1m short of the winner. Never too far away, he will be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: ALADDIN SANE (11), CASCATA (12), ICANTDOIT (5), IGNITE (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ALADDIN SANE (11) to win

RACE NINE

Resuming from a spell in a heat of the UDC back in February, GOTTAGO BARNEY (3) was making a wide run trying to chase down ALWAYSBJOY which has gone on a tear since. Placed in both runs since that outing, the latest behind AMYLEE, he finds the right set up here to capitalise.

 BETTOR BE BODHI (6)
was fresh up at Marburg last time out in his first 3YO appearance when eased from a wide gate to settle rearward. Attacking the line strongly over the latter stages, he scored a smart win with 3m to spare. Despite the wide gate, he can build off the first up win to challenge.

 STAY DREAMY (2)
worked to the front last time out at Redcliffe and was trying to fend them off when finishing 2nd behind MAGIC JUJON. A small field and this gate assist her chances.

 MALARKY (4)
returned to start her 3YO term at Redcliffe last time out and was forced to sit parked when gripping on for the bronze. Placed once in six attempts here at HQ, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: GOTTAGO BARNEY (3), BETTOR BE BODHI (6), STAY DREAMY (2), MALARKY (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
GOTTAGO BARNEY (3) to win
