Form Analysis: Albion Park April 25

25 April 2026

RACE ONE

Tricky race to open the 10-race card where GREAT WHITE (1) can secure the right trip and should get his chance. A winner three starts back from the trail, he arrived in the last stride and followed that with a 5m deficit when closing strongly behind ARRIVE. This is within reach.

 ALWAYS DANCING (2)
finished best from the 1x1 trail to score his first Qld victory in a heat of the Ultimate Drive Series. Sent for a break after that PB effort at 2138, he has been to the trials twice in readiness for the return and from the gate can throw it down fresh.

 IM BOO (4)
was asked to sit parked at the middle trip last start and was trying to rally in the stretch in finishing 5m from the winner JEKAMIAS. A return to the mile is in his favour.

 MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (10)
followed the markers from gate 1 here last week when holding 3rd behind TYSON. Only 7m away despite finishing at the tail the start prior, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: GREAT WHITE (1), ALWAYS DANCING (2), IM BOO (4), MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: GREAT WHITE (1) to win

RACE TWO

This race is a class v map scenario where the class of SPEAK THE TRUTH (7) will need to shine bright if he is to overcome the gate. Pressing forward from gate 6 to lead in a small field last start, it was a dead-heat result as TIMS A TROOPER joined in. At his best in front, that spot may not be available this time.

 DASHING (2)
has won four of six since joining the Grimsey team and last start completed a hat-trick with an all the way victory over he mile. Dictating at the middle trip the start prior, he has the gate speed to take control and with options thereafter, will throw down a big challenge.

 TIMS A TROOPER (3)
held the 1x1 trail last time out and loomed in the stretch with the judge unable to decide, as the verdict was a shared win with SPEAK THE TRUTH. He is never far away.

 ATTACHMENT (5)
steps up to open company after successive wins in the Junior FFA events at his past two starts. Pressing to control the speed and take an 8m margin last start, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: SPEAK THE TRUTH (7), DASHING (2), TIMS A TROOPER (3), ATTACHMENT (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

Chasing a hat-trick of victories MEGS BOY (1), lands the perfect gate to secure a threepeat. Scoring a huge win at Bathurst two starts back, he overcame the inside second line last start, sprinting sharply in the closing stages to post a 4m margin. With all the options, he has the speed to capitalise.

 BUDDY PERFECT (5)
is the model of consistency at present and last week was issuing the closing challenge when just a head from the winner CHARGE AHEAD. Runner-up at his past four in succession, he was strong to the line in the heats for this behind MEGS BOY and with the right trip can challenge.

 SPLASH OF PAYNT (8)
has started twice since arriving in Qld, the latest when setting a slick tempo in a Redcliffe heat for this final. With the chance to stalk the speed, he can feature.

 MAJOR CRUNCH (6)
set the speed here last start on a freshly laid track and lead until the closing stride when grabbed by AMAMI on a night when leaders struggled. Despite the wide gate, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MEGS BOY (1), BUDDY PERFECT (5), SPLASH OF PAYNT (8), MAJOR CRUNCH (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MEGS BOY (1) to win

RACE FOUR

The winner of one from nine for the season, STRIKEM (2) has bene racing in great order but just finding the wins out of reach. On the back-up from Tuesday when collared in the closing stages by TYSON over the 2647 trip, the start prior it was ARRIVE that descended to thwart victory. He should have their measure in this.

 GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (1)
maps for the perfect trip behind the speed where he can be effective in the closing stages. Eased from gate 5 last start to be positioned four back along the inside, he was strong late when under 2m from AMAMI. Placed in three of his past four, he can challenge.

 EAGLESPRIDE (8)
backs up from Tuesday where he was second up from a spell in finishing midfield behind MERGE RIGHT. With a soft fence trip, he can chime in for minor money here.

 TRALEE SNICKAS (5)
was a Redcliffe winner three starts back when pressing forward from a wide gate to find the front and take a controlling victory. Under 2m from the winner last start, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: STRIKEM (2), GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (1), EAGLESPRIDE (8), TRALEE SNICKAS (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
Exotics 2 / 1-5-8

RACE FIVE

A scratching here last week SEASIDE GLORY (11) is given no favours from outside the second line as she chases three on the bounce. A gritty effort last start to take a 75Final when parked, she was too slippery in front the start prior. Runner-up in three attempts at the trip, she can go one better.

 SHES CRYSTAL (5)
was first up for the new stable after crossing the Tasman when drawn inside the second line. Eased away from the inside, she was making a run from a long way back in the pack to get within 2m of the winner. Moving to the front line and with added fitness, she can challenge.

 MISS BAY KING COLE (3)
is chasing a hat-trick after successive wins at the mile. Finishing best to score in a second division qualifier here last week, she can be handy enough to feature.

 SHES IN LINE (1)
was exposed early before receiving running line cover when grabbing the bronze last week behind MISS BAY KING COLE. The gate assists her podium claims.

SELECTIONS: SEASIDE GLORY (11), SHES CRYSTAL (5), MISS BAY KING COLE (3), SHES IN LINE (1)

SUGGESTED BET: SEASIDE GLORY (11) to win

RACE SIX

With just the solitary win from 14 appearances here at HQ, TINDER SUPRPRISE (4) is a horse that does not seem to gain he rewards for effort. 3rd behind EXCLUDIVE HUSTLER last start after a tiring leader just stalled his momentum, he was luckless with no running line position available the start prior.

 BASILISK BOB (5)
faced this same gate last start when sliding across to be exposed early before receiving the 1x1 trail. Launching over the closing stages to score a half-head victory, it followed a fence trip 3rd behind PATH TO GREATNESS. Limiting the burn can see him challenge.

 JEKAMIAS (8)
was driven hard to take control at 2138 here last week and from the front was able to take them all the way. Likely tucked away here, he can search for gaps to chime in late.

 TILLY JAYNE (1)
was a winner in a mare’s B5 event two starts back when finishing over the top to take a 2m margin. With the chance to follow the speed, she is a podium chance here.

SELECTIONS: TINDER SUPRPRISE (4), BASILISK BOB (5), JEKAMIAS (8), TILLY JAYNE (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:
TINDER SUPRPRISE (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

IN a race that should generate good tempo and pressure, if OZZIE PUNTA (3) can sit in behind the action, he will be hard to hold out over the closing stages. Buried last start, he was making a late raid to be just a neck from the winner. Not suited when parked the start prior, he can cash in.

 ELLIS STREET (2)
will derive much benefit from his run here last week when first up from a break for the new stable. Sent forward to take control at the 2138, he closed it off in a sub 55 half, gripping on for a narrow margin. With early speed, he can get forward to throw down a challenge.

 BIGGER THE BETTOR (1)
maps for the soft trip behind the speed and will be looking for openings in the stretch. Runner-up behind CALL TO ORDER two starts back, he has claims.

 EXCLUSIVE HUSTLER (5)
produced a monster mile first over last start, sitting parked and stomping it out in 1.50.9. Beaten a half-neck three back, he might need to do the heavy lifting again.

SELECTIONS: OZZIE PUNTA (3), ELLIS STREET (2), BIGGER THE BETTOR (1), EXCLUSIVE HUSTLER (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
OZZIE PUNTA (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

Reliant on some factors to fall in his favour from this gate, LA CAVALETTA (8) is up to taking this if the scenarios present. Pressing to the front last week, he led until deep stretch when reeled in by TYSON. That followed a pair of runs where not much went his way. He will be probing.

 MIKIS JOE (7)
found the 1x1 trail here two starts back in a second division qualifier and had the speed to arrive in the last stride for a narrow victory. Sent to the breeze last start, he faded to finish midfield behind TYSON after the tough trip. Despite the wide gate, he can challenge this line up.

 GREAT ACHIEVER (4)
angled to the inside from a wide second line gate last start and chased in finishing midfield behind TYSON. Placed his previous three in succession, he can chime in here.

 LOCHINVAR CAMARO (9)
was first up for the new stable last start when sent forward to sit parked. Despite the tough trip, he was fighting to the wire and with the added fitness can feature.

SELECTIONS: LA CAVALETTA (8), MIKIS JOE (7), GREAT ACHIEVER (4), LOCHINVAR CAMARO (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
LA CAVALETTA (8) win/place

RACE NINE

Chasing three on the bounce after winning at Redcliffe and here last start, CHARGE AHEAD (5) will be suited by the smaller field. Burrowing through to hold them out here last week at the mile, he was able to grip on in the closing stages for a narrow margin. Despite the gate, he can complete the threepeat.

 COOL NIGHT (3)
can look to press forward in the early stages and if able to take control, his chances will increase exponentially. A winner four starts back from the front, his next appearance was when buried from inside the second line. Close up last start, he can challenge.

 OUR SUNSET DELIGHT (2)
returns from a spell and finds the right gate to settle handy in the small field. Only 3m from ELLIS STREET at his last start on this deck, he is a podium player.

 MIRACLE MOOSE (1)
maps for the right trip in behind the action and will look for gaps to make a podium play. Grabbing the bronze two starts back, he was only 3m away last start.

SELECTIONS: CHARGE AHEAD (5), COOL NIGHT (3), OUR SUNSET DELIGHT (2), MIRACLE MOOSE (1),
SUGGESTED BET: CHARGE AHEAD (5) to win

RACE TEN

First up from a spell at her maiden Qld outing, BELLA DANZA (7) faces a tough ask from the outside gate. Last seen when narrowly beaten at Menangle behind LUX AETERNA, she has prepared with a tidy trial and despite the gate can capitalise first up.

 IMA QUEEN BEE (4)
started from outside the second line last start and was trying to get warm in the closing stages when missing the money behind REASON TO SHINE. Rattling home to run POST PAINTER to a head margin in sharp time two starts back, an improved gate is a big plus.

 TREMENDOUS SENSATION (5)
is still chasing her first win of the season after placing in eight attempts to date. Only a half-head away last time, the right tempo will see her feature.

 REASON TO SHINE (8)
had the speed to put them away in the closing strides here last week after starting from the second line. With the options from this gate, she will be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS:
BELLA DANZA (7), IMA QUEEN BEE (4), TREMENDOUS SENSATION (5), REASON TO SHINE (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
BELLA DANZA (7) to win
