Form Analysis: Albion Park April 4

4 April 2026

RACE ONE

Finishing the runner-up at three successive runs, ATTACHMENT (6) secured a breakthrough here last week despite being forced to work hard in the run when sitting parked. Digging deep to grab a narrow margin on the wire in a strong last 800, he has the versatility to chase the repeat.

 MULLUM HANK (3)
was tucked away on the fence last time out and making a late play was only 4m from the winner HECOR. Trying to make a passing lane raid the start prior when holding on for the bronze behind DASHING, he can settle handy from this gate to issue the challenge.

 CALL TO ORDER (4)
will appreciate a return to mobile start condition after being faced with 20m handicaps at his past two from the tapes. Fitter following those runs at his return from a spell, he is a podium hope.

 COOL NIGHT (10)
forced the issue here last start and from the front was able to stomp out a 1.51 PB mile, Game in defeat the start prior when forced to sit parked, the gate makes it a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: ATTACHMENT (6), MULLUM HANK (3), CALL TO ORDER (4), COOL NIGHT (10)
SUGGESTED BET: ATTACHMENT (6) to win

RACE TWO

Chasing a hat-trick of victories after successive wins over this same trip, PATH TO GREATNESS (2) secures the right alley to continue a march through the grades. Scoring in a midweek stand start event, he was then never troubled from the front last start, with a strong last 800 in a 6m victory. The threepeat is in the bag.

 BUDDY PERFECT (1)
is hitting some great areas in recent weeks and lines up from the perfect gate to secure the ideal trip behind the speed. Charging home to grab the silver here last week from wide off the second line, the start prior he dictated over this trip and will be there to feature.

 APPLIED (5)
was building towards victory after some strong performances from tough gates and last week found ideal conditions. Burrowing through to hold the front, he dictated to score a 4m victory. He will need to roll the sleeves here.

 BASILISK BOB (8)
maps for the soft trip in behind the speed and will be searching for open road in the stretch. Working triple time three wide last time, he is a place hope with this set up.

SELECTIONS: PATH TO GREATNESS (2), BUDDY PERFECT (1), APPLIED (5), BASILISK BOB (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
Exotics 2 / 1-5-8 / 1-5-8

RACE THREE

Making his first appearance for the 4YO season last time out, FATE AWAITS (5) found a midweek standing start contest where he was able to amble to the lead in the middle stages and then peel off a last quarter sizzler to claim victory. With a 3YO term that finished with a 3rd behind the star Kiwi pair GOT THE CHOCOLATES and MARKETPLACE, he can flex in this line up.

 TYSON (6)
started from inside the second line last time out and stalked the speed as APPLIED dictated at the mile. Unable to reel in the leader in holding 2nd, it had followed a midweek win from behind the tapes when leading throughout. The gate and presence of his esteemed stablemate make the challenge tough.

 SOHO CASABLANCA (2)
held the 1x1 trail last start and chased home to grab the silver behind APPLIED. With the chance to be handy to the action from this gate, he has podium claims again.

 MYNAMESEVAN (9)
was a Redcliffe winner when resuming from a spell, producing a strong time from a bad gate. Buried last time from inside the second line, he can follow through early to chase minor money here.

SELECTIONS: FATE AWAITS (5), TYSON (6), SOHO CASABLANCA (2), MYNAMESEVAN (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
FATE AWAITS (5) to win

RACE FOUR

Not much has been in favour of IM THE FALCON (1) in recent appearances, barriers working against him in the last two starts and a tough trip when working wide on the track three starts back. The effort last week was good on the clock behind LEAP TO FAME after starting from gate 6 and with the improved alley, can turn his fortunes.

 TIMS A TROOPER (5)
was exposed early before sliding back and was then last as the field settled in single file behind LEAP TO FAME. Producing some sizzling closing splits despite finishing unplaced, he will appreciate the absence of his stablemate and can throw down the challenge.

 HECTOR (8)
has the mapping favours as the lone runner off the second line to pick his own path. A winner two starts back in a PB mile when powering over the top, he can be stalking the speed.

 DASHING (4)
takes the step up to this grade off the back off successive victories, the latest when dictating from gate 1 and posting a 5m margin on the wire. He has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: IM THE FALCON (1), TIMS A TROOPER (5), HECTOR (8), DASHING (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
IM THE FALCON (1) to win

RACE FIVE

Luckless last week when needing a gap sooner and stung by the outside front line barrier, DAISY DIANA (3) should appreciate the improved gate here to press forward. 5m from ILOVEACALENDARGIRL after sitting in the 1x1 trail two starts back, she is at her best if dictating and if she can find the poles, will get the chance to capitalise.

 ILOVEACALENDARGIRL (9)
has charged through the grades impressively since arriving in Qld, securing four successive victories. All four wins have been leading, so the outside second line provides a new frontier to cross this time. Despite the second line hurdle, she looks up to the challenge.

 REASON TO SHINE (5)
returns from a Sydney trip where she was a Menangle winner three starts back when finishing over the top in a career best 1.51.8. Chasing home the smart TOKYO ROSE at her past two, she stays under notice in this.

 TREMENDOUS SENSATION (7)
was repelled in the early stages last week and forced to ease for position. Making a late raid to grab silver, the gate makes the task tough once again.

SELECTIONS: DAISY DIANA (3), ILOVEACALENDARGIRL (9), REASON TO SHINE (5), TREMENDOUS SENSATION (7)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

A newcomer to the Dixon stable that arrives to start her 4YO term, GOLDEN SHOOZ (3) was last seen in the Breeders Crown Final when 4th behind BEACH DIAMOND. A seven-time winner, including a Victoria Oaks heat, she has been to the trials on this deck twice in readiness, the second a sharp effort to suggest she can strike fresh.

 DRAW A DREAM (1)
started deep into the red from this gate two starts back and after burrowing through to hold the early advantage, was out of tokens turning for home. Buried in the run last week with a sharper performance for the bronze, she has the gate to challenge.

 TOUGH SHAZ (6)
eased from this same gate last week before making a sustained run to get within 2m of the winner MAJORITA JUJON to grab the silver. The right trip can see her feature again.

 LULLABY (7)
is given no favours from the car park as she chases an elusive AP victory. Placed in three of six on this deck, she was a beaten fav last week when setting the tempo but fading in the stretch.

SELECTIONS: GOLDEN SHOOZ (3), DRAW A DREAM (1), TOUGH SHAZ (6), LULLABY (7)
 SUGGESTED BET:
GOLDEN SHOOZ (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

The bridesmaid at her past four in succession, GOLDEN SUNSET (1) was looming here last week but just had her momentum checked. Hitting the front, she was grabbed in the closing strides to be just a head from victory. With early speed off the arm and all the options from the gate, she gets every chance to capitalise.

 NOT AS PROMISED (4)
bounced back to winning form with a dominant win from the front two starts back when rolling forward from the 10m tape to be in front early and fend off the challengers. Leading the field up here last week, it was a game effort when 3m from the winner ZEALOUS SPUR and he will throw it down again here.

 ZEALOUS SPUR (5)
sliced through a gap to arrive in the closing strides here last week to take his record to 19 wins on this deck and a whisker short of $300k in career earnings. The gate stings, but he is up to the test.

 MAJESTIC LAVROS (2)
did not have anything in his favour here last week when chopped out trying to make a passing lane play. Holding the bronze behind NOT AS PROMISED the start prior, he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: GOLDEN SUNSET (1), NOT AS PROMISED (4), ZEALOUS SPUR (5), MAJESTIC LAVROS (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:
GOLDEN SUNSET (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

A winner three starts back when easing into the pocket trail SENSATIONALIZE (1) started from gate 5 but was unable to cross. Darting through on the passing lane to score, she has faced second line barriers in both runs since. With the return to the front and all the options, she can capitalise.

 CHEER LEADER (5)
will take further benefit from her latest appearance when second up from a spell. Rolling forward to find position from gate 5, she was exposed early before receiving cover and was sound to the wire. 3rd when resuming and under 2m from the winner, she can challenge.

 MAJORITA JUJON (2)
held the trail from gate 1 last week and had the speed in the passing lane to arrive for victory. Buried the start prior from inside the second line, she is a podium hope here.

 HELL OF A HAND (3)
was strong to the line last time out after easing from gate 7 and making good metres to be under 5m from the winner GREAT WHITE. A return to mare’s company can see her chime in.

SELECTIONS: SENSATIONALIZE (1), CHEER LEADER (5), MAJORITA JUJON (2), HELL OF A HAND (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
SENSATIONALIZE (1) to win
