RACE 1

LADY TREACHEROUS (6) is out of classy mare Scarlet Babe. She looked very sharp in a recent trial leaving the gate well enough before really hitting the line powerfully late once getting into the clear. She draws widest but looks a filly with good ability.

PRETTY WICKED (2) showed excellent gate speed to lead last start and controlled the race through the middle. She appeared to have the race won half way up the straight before seemingly getting lost out in front and was nabbed late by Gems Magic. She may be able to lead again and will have options from there.

ROCKY HUNTER (1) has shown some ability so far in three career starts to date. He draws favourably in this race but hasn’t shown a great deal of gate speed in trials or at his race starts so far. With the right run he can figure in the minor money.

LAY IT DOWN LOU (5) appeared to move nicely in a recent trial at Albion Park when finishing third. He draws poorly on debut which looks a query but does appear a horse with ability.

SELECTIONS: LADY TREACHEROUS (6), PRETTY WICKED (2), ROCKY HUNTER (1), LAY IT DOWN LOU (5)

SUGGESTED BET: LADY TREACHEROUS (6) to win.

RACE 2

BENNYDASOOK (2) trialled up nicely recently when flying off the gate early and leading all the way. While he didn’t run fast time in the trial its likely he derived a lot of benefit from the outing. If he is able to lead in this race he could be hard to run down.

UCANCALLME AL (3) has been competitive in much stronger company than he meets in this race. He was beaten just 17 last start behind classy filly Alwaysbjoy. He should appreciate the drop in grade and in the small field he should be close enough.

LOSTANDFOUND (1) got a long way back from a wide gate in a recent trial and worked through the line nicely late. He took his time to break maiden status but was able to get there and scored a second win shortly after. He should get a good run on return and can run well.

LOUMINATE (4) returned well last start sitting leaders back behind Ruby Rhayne Bow and running third. It is likely she has derived good benefit from the first up outing and should be thereabouts in this race.

SELECTIONS: BENNYDASOOK (2), UCANCALLME AL (3), LOSTANDFOUND (1), LOUMINATE (4)

SUGGESTED BET: LOSTANDFOUND (1) each way.

RACE 3

COOL AND CLASSY (2) won by a space in her latest stand start trial at Albion Park having stepped just moderately in the early stages. She is likely to have derived benefit from the experience in her trial and with a safe get away in this race she would be hard to beat.

I GOT CHILLS (4) began fairly from a recent stand start trial. He took on strong company last time in including his latest race start prior to a spell when sitting without cover in a race taken out by Fernco Nel. He should run a good race on return.

GEM PUNTER PETE (1) ran well last start when finishing fifth behind Arrive in fast time at Albion Park. He has been able to win from the stand start and usually steps well in the early stages. He should be hard to beat from a good draw.

MISTER REACTOR (5) is racing in very good form at the moment. He was shuffled back last start and powered home into third late behind The Rascal. He has plenty of stand start experience and can be running on late again.

SELECTIONS: COOL AND CLASSY (2), I GOT CHILLS (4), GEM PUNTER PETE (1), MISTER REACTOR (5)

SUGGESTED BET: COOL AND CLASSY (2) to win.

RACE 4

ALADDIN SANE (4) has now had a few runs back from a spell and appears to be nearing peak fitness. He stepped slowly last start before working into the race nicely and running fourth. He is better favoured this time the way the handicaps have fallen and if he led he would likely be very hard to run down.

LAYDOWNLUNA (5) led last start from the mobile and was run down late by Southern Diamond at Albion Park. She comes into this race third up from a spell and should be nearing peak fitness. If she can find a prominent position up on speed she should be hard to beat.

INSTANT DELIGHT (10) raced from the stand start two starts ago when finishing fifth having made up some ground out wide on the track. She then did plenty of work last start and battled on fairly to finish fourth. She has made significant strides with her manners in recent campaigns and may be more suited than some of her key rivals around the tight circuit at Redcliffe.

LOOK FOR TASCOTT (11) is likely to be well favoured in the market to take out this race but seemingly has a few things against him. He starts off a 30 metres handicap and is racing at Redcliffe for the first time having been a horse previously with a tendency to do a lot wrong. He came from off the speed and ran on powerfully late to nab third last start. Can run well again.

SELECTIONS: ALADDIN SANE (4), LAYDOWNLUNA (5), INSTANT DELIGHT (10), LOOK FOR TASCOTT (11)

SUGGESTED BET: ALADDIN SANE (4) to win.

RACE 5

MISTER DELWIN (1) showed speed early last start before sitting without cover and being beaten a long way late. He has good gate speed and may be able to control things out in front in this race. He is usually a good leader and can run well again.

SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (7) ran well last start finishing second to Stormtide at this track over the 2040. He should get a good run through in this race on the back of Mister Delwin who is a gate speed horse and from there should be hard to hold out late.

ASCOT SHOWTIME (8) had been racing in good form and is seemingly closing in on another win. She secured a good run off the speed last start and was running on strongly late to be beaten just 3.4 metres. She should get a good run again and will be running into it late.

FAVREAU (9) was a winner five starts ago at Albion Park when finding the front and leading all the way. He generally does his best work up on speed and may be put into the race at some stage.

SELECTIONS: MISTER DELWIN (1), SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (7), ASCOT SHOWTIME (8), FAVREAU (9)

SUGGESTED BET: ASCOT SHOWTIME (8) each way.

RACE 6

KODA DA MODA (8) was forced to do the work outside of stablemate Nellie Joy last time out and ran second there not beaten far. She is likely to appreciate the step up in trip in this race and can look to be driven tough again.

DARCYS FIREBALL (7) should get an ideal run through on the back of gate speed horse Nellie Joy. He is a horse that can get a touch keen which should see him suited racing with cover where he can use his high speed late to run into the race.

NELLIE JOY (1) was able to lead and win recently at Albion Park to continue on her good run of recent form. She draws well again in this race and might have the speed to drive through and look to lead all the way.

PIZZA PRINCE (2) has good early speed but does draw outside a horse with equally good early speed. He is seemingly a horse that needs to be driven with cover when unable to lead and he may look to do that in this field.

SELECTIONS: KODA DA MODA (8), DARCYS FIREBALL (7), NELLIE JOY (1), PIZZA PRINCE (2)

SUGGESTED BET: KODA DA MODA (8) to win.

RACE 7

A PERFECT DANCE (3) has plenty of early speed and looks likely to be able to work to the lead in this race past Stormtide who is back up in grade in this race. She did some work and was well beaten when racing off the pegs behind Sensationalize. This race is a lot easier and she should be hard to beat.

WELEASE WODDEWICK (4) had things go his way last start in a quickly run race where he was able to nab the 1-1 after starting from inside the back row. He draws less favourably this time and isn’t a horse noted for his gate speed.

MY ULTIMATE FELIX (9) put in a much better run last start when being shuffled back early before running on strongly late into second behind The Rizzler over the 2138. He should appreciate the 2280 journey at Redcliffe and if the race is run to suit he can be running on late.

BETTOR CHEER (1) put in a run last start that had to be seen to be believed. He was tailed off early following a mistake he made at the start. He chased the field hard caught them up and was still somehow able to run third in a race they rated fast time. He finds himself EOD as a result of that error seeing him start from the widest gate which will make things a lot tougher.

SELECTIONS: A PERFECT DANCE (3), WELEASE WODDEWICK (4), MY ULTIMATE FELIX (9), BETTOR CHEER (1)

SUGGESTED BET: A PERFECT DANCE (3) to win.

RACE 8

WESTERN BILL (4) has been in brilliant form this preparation running a number of good races in recent outings. He finished off powerfully late last start after getting a long way back in the run and just missed running second behind Warrawee Flyer

JEFFCOATE (1) has good early speed and should find himself in front again in this race. He was able to lead last start before copping plenty of pressure there and still battling on strongly to score. He steps up in grade into this race but with a good draw to offset the rise in grade he is still likely to be very competitive.

OUR LUCY LOU (7) took on stronger company late last time in and ran well. Her latest race start she finished down the track to Arrive who showed on Saturday she is one of the best Mares in the state. She should get a good run through early and can be hard to hold out late.

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (3) has been racing consistently without having quite been able to break through for another win. He got a long way back last start and finished off strongly into fourth behind Warrawee Flyer.

SELECTIONS: WESTERN BILL (4), JEFFCOATE (1), OUR LUCY LOU (7), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (3)

SUGGESTED BET: WESTERN BILL (4) to win.

RACE 9

LITTLEMICKEY (1) was forced to sit without cover last time out when battling on nicely for third given he is not a noted breeze horse. He has previously elected to take a trail in races and given this race is over the 2040 he may elect to adopt similar tactics.

LENNY LINCOLN (2) was forced to work without cover last start and battled on strongly to finish third behind Rightyo. If he was able to find the front this time he would likely be very hard to run down.

DUAL CAM (9) ran well again last start taking a sit on I Of The Hurrikane before running past that horse late into third. He should get a good run off the speed in this race off the speed and seems to like racing at this trip.

MERGE RIGHT (3) took on the final of the Goldstrike series at Marburg last time out where she finished third having won her heat her start prior. She steps back to racing from the mobile and appears well graded but does draw a touch awkwardly.

SELECTIONS: LITTLEMICKEY (1), LENNY LINCOLN (2), DUAL CAM (9), MERGE RIGHT (3)

SUGGESTED BET: LENNY LINCOLN (2) to win.
