Form Analysis: Redcliffe April 16

RACE 1 

OPALLANE (6) was well beaten in a recent trial at Albion Park where the winner rated fast time running a very fast last half. He looks the standout in this race on class having impressed last time in. He is a horse with good high speed and should go well first up.

STAY DREAMY (1) has good gate speed and should have options early. She finished fifth last start in a race taken out by Gottago Barney which became a dash home. 

MACK ATTACK (4) comes into this race without a trial having run well in his latest start finishing fourth behind Magic Jujon in the final of the Redcliffe Yearling Sales series for the 2YOs. He draws awkwardly and will likely need luck. 

WHERES MY BLING (2) was no match for impressive winner Thats Our Boy last start at this track but still ran well there finishing second. Given there is no horses on the back row in this race she will have options whether she ducks behind the leader or elects to stay in the running line.

RACE 2 

ZORBA DAN (7) trialled up smartly when finishing second to Miss Munch at Redcliffe running home a slick last half. He is the only horse drawn on the back row which gives him options in this race. He looks hard to beat.

SWEET CHARMER (1) didn’t handle the track when first up from a spell at this track going roughly throughout finishing fourth. Her latest run was much better last start finishing third behind Heza Dirty Dancer finishing third at this track.

BETTER BE BRONSKI (2) trialled up fairly when finding the front at Albion Park and just fading a touch lady in a trial taken out by Lady Treacherous. She is likely to have derived benefit from that outing and should be competitive on debut.

PERFECT LOU (6) showed promise in his first campaign running a number of good races. He has seemingly been quite disappointing so far this campaign having his chance to win at Marburg before going below his best in his latest two outings at Redcliffe. He needs to bounce back to his better form if he is to figure in this race drawn poorly.

RACE 3

HEZA DIRTY DANCER (5) impressed on debut when sitting without cover and running well finishing second. He backed that up with an even better run in his second career start sitting without cover on a strong tempo and proving way too good for his rivals. Despite the wide draw he should be hard to beat again. 

DOUG STEWART (8) took a sit on Gottago Barney and ran a close up third there last start at Albion Park. He looks capable of taking out a race of this nature and should get a good run off the speed from a good trailing draw. 

VICTREE BUSTA (3) secured a good run last start and was well beaten by Thats Our Boy but didn’t have the best of luck at a crucial stage of the race. He ran through the line nicely late once clear and should run well again in this race. 

KIA ORA LOU (6) has a tendency to do a few things wrong in her races and draws wide as a result of her being ODM. She should get a good run off the speed and can be running into it late.

RACE 4 

PLANET DOWNS (2) has very good gate speed and should be able to work straight over to the lead in this race. He led last start and finished fourth behind King Bling over the 2040 at this track. He is better suited to the 1780 and lands in a race that looks no tougher. 

IM BUSTED (8) ran well last start in a stronger race when finishing second to Sweet Dior at Albion Park. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and looks well suited being sat up and saved for one run at them late. 

SHES MY MISTAKE (6) did things wrong last start and finds herself ODM as a result. She has good gate speed but might struggle to get across them early. She has been taking on slightly better company and should be suited in this race. 

WECANONLYDREAM (1) ran third two starts ago behind Belmer Betty at this track. He has been racing well and should secure an ideal run leaders back.

SUGGESTED BET: PLANET DOWNS (2) to win.

RACE 5

GOOD WORD THAT (7) should get a good run through on the back of Jilliby Panda who is a gate speed horse. He has been racing in good form without a great deal of luck. This looks the best chance he’s had in some time. 

JILLIBY PANDA (1) has excellent gate speed and usually runs well out in front in his races. He should lead and if he can repeat his effort when leading five starts ago he should be quite hard to beat. 

VODKA EN ICE (9) has been forced to do the work in recent outings and hasn’t been beaten far in his races. He should be able to work into the race at some stage and will run well again.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (5) has been racing well and was a very good second two starts ago behind Merge Right who has since run well in the Goldstrike Final and won at Redcliffe on Tuesday.

SUGGESTED BET: JILLIBY PANDA (1) to win.

RACE 6 

SHEZA LENNY (5) is a horse that goes well when able to find a position up on speed. She comes into this race first up from a spell without a trial which looks a query. If she is fit enough she can run well. 

BAHAMAS MISS (8) ran very well flashing into third last start behind Uncut Gem at this track. She should get a good run off the speed in this race and if there is enough tempo she should be hard to hold out late. 

TAURUS BROMAC (9) has had plenty of chances to break through and continues to find one or two better. He should get a good run off the speed and if there is a genuine early tempo it will bring him into the race. 

SINGER SNAP (2) has good gate speed and may be able to work to the lead. She has awful numerical form but if she could lead and take a sit on the right horse in this grade of race she may be able to bounce back.

RACE 7

SAN SABA (1) has very good gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead early in this race from the good draw. She ran third last start when not having the best of luck in the run. She should be hard to run down.

MAYWYN TROUBADOUR (6) comes into this race first up and draws widest. He looks clearly a standout on class in this race. He may get back on the run and should be getting into it late. 

PRINCE JOY (8) has been in good form and appears likely to get a good run off the speed in this race. He was able to win three starts ago when sitting without cover at this track and proving too good. 

PRECOCIOUS KATE (7) should get a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse in this race. She was able to find the front last start at Albion Park and was able to lead all the way there.

SUGGESTED BET: SAN SABA (1) to win.

RACE 8

DOCTA FEELGOOD (1) is a horse that loves to lead and was able to lead and win well in good time last start at this track. He lands in a slightly stronger field here and should be very hard to run down with a similar effort to last start.

PUNTERS JEWEL (8) has been in brilliant form and was able to score another impressive win last time out when coming from back in the field and winning by a big margin. He was able to win his start prior very impressively and should run well again. 

ROCK HAMMER (7) should get a good run through behind Docta Feelgood who is a horse that loves to lead in his races. He led last start and was beaten there but did seemingly take on a stronger race. 

TRALEE SNICKAS (9) was able to lead and win well at this track recently. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and should be running on late.

SUGGESTED BET: ROCK HAMMER (7) to place.

RACE 9

BARRETT (5) draws unsuitably in this race but does look one of the class runners and has been racing well. He finished close up last start in a 1.50.9 mile rate at Albion park which is brilliant time for this grade. 

IMPERMISSIBLE (6) draws poorly in this race out widest. She was unsuited last start when left without cover at this track and trip. She may be driven more conservatively this time with cover and she should be running on late. 

B MAC C (4) has good gate speed and might be able to zip across before having options from there. He hit the line powerfully last start to just miss nabbing Miss Bay King Cole late. He should run well again.

QUIK CHANGE (3) got a long way back last start and was running on late to finish midfield behind Hes Regal and Bonnies Cam. He is likely to get back and should be running on late.

SUGGESTED BET: BARRETT (5) to win.

RACE 10

ILLBEWATCHING (3) has good gate speed and might be able to work across to the lead. He has been racing in good form and has shown in recent times he is still able to do work in his races. If he can lead and get a breather he should be hard to run down. 

ART JESTER (5) has been badly out of form for quite some time which has meant he has dropped a long way in grade into this race. He comes into this race first up from a spell which looks a query but if he can bounce back to nearer his better form he’d be very hard to beat.

BETTYS GOLD CLASS (8) has a good trailing draw in this race. She is a horse with high speed that is best suited when saved up for one run at them late if she cant find the lead and should get that opportunity in this race. 

TIGER TOMMY (2) has been racing well and ran a good recent placing at this track over the 2040 behind Ashlee Nitro. She should get a good run in this race and will run well again.
