Form Analysis: Marburg April 19

RACE 1 

PINK BONUS (8) sat without cover last start and ran well to finish fourth not beaten too far. She comes into this race having her third career start and is likely to have derived a lot of benefit from her first two outings in race starts. 

PAMPERED ART (3) ran well on debut sitting just off the speed and running fourth to Smooth Troubadiesel who was impressive on debut along with Dont Ask Again who ran second and has since won. She ran fairly last start when well beaten by Gems Magic after securing the right run. She has a favourable draw and can look to maintain her early advantage. 

BROADWAY BEAUTY (9) starts outside the back row in this race which is certainly not going to make things easy in this race. She has taken out very strong races in her first two race starts and should find this considerably easier. She put in a good run last time out to finish fifth behind the very promising Soul Hunter. 

SCHMIKI (2) was first up from a spell last start when finishing down the track behind Taking Stock at Albion Park. He is likely to have derived benefit from that outing and should run well from a good draw.

RACE 2 

DOUG STEWART (8) ran fourth behind Mullum Judith last start at Redcliffe in good time for the grade. This race looks a lot easier and he can be put into the race at the right time. He looks the hardest to beat. 

WEE BONNIE (2) has early speed and might be able to press forward and find the lead in this race before having options from there. She finished sixth last start at Redcliffe in a race the winner rated fast time Mullum Judith. 

ONEANDONLY (6) should get a good run through on the back of Gleneagle Hunter who shouldn’t be too far away in the run. He didn’t have the best of luck last start at Marburg but was still able to prove too good for Perfect Lou who has since won. 

TWOSIPSALLY (4) took a trail on return running second to dominant winner Rosies Boy at this track. She secured a good run last start in a race the winner rated good time and she was well beaten finishing last. Coming into this race third up she might be near peak fitness.

RACE 3

BLING THE NOISE (1) has good gate speed and may be able to drive through and lead in this race from a good draw. He got a long way back last start and ran on into fourth behind Uncut Gem. He should be hard to beat.

OUR SWEET JESS (8) looked ideally suited racing off the speed last start in a race there was a very genuine early tempo at Redcliffe. She loomed into the race but just couldn’t quite finish it off there running second to Rocknroll Knight. She has been a touch off her best in recent outings but may be working into fitness and could be better for her latest run. 

PISCINA (5) made a break just after the start last time out and finds himself ODM as a result. He ran an excellent race after making that early break finishing third to Eternal Bliss in fast time. It may be a query whether he handles the Marburg circuit. 

ICANANDIWILL (6) should get a good run through. She may find a few better in this race but has claims for the minor money.

RACE 4 

B MAC C (1) scored a good win last start on Thursday at Redcliffe when zipping across to lead over the 2040 rating good time taking them all the way. He should be able to drive through and lead this race again and should be quite hard to run down. 

BONNIES CAM (4) was forced to sit without cover last start at Redcliffe and just couldn’t quite get past Hes Regal when running second. He draws poorly in this race but if he was able to secure the right run leading or with cover he would run well in this race. 

PUMPKIN PAT (5) returned nicely four starts ago when running over the top to score in fast time at Redcliffe. She has since run well including a good third last start in a strong race at Albion Park. 

VINCENT TIME (7) was able to score five starts ago when leading all the way at Redcliffe over the 2040. He has since raced without a lot of luck and was a particularly good run last start when finishing just 4.3 metres off Mikis Joe at Albion Park.

SUGGESTED BET: B MAC C (1) to win. 

RACE 5

SATURDAY DANCE (7) was able to secure a good run off the speed on Thursday at Redcliffe before working home nicely to nab Im Busted late and score a good win. She appears to drop back into a much easier race here and should be hard to beat. 

BAHAMAS MISS (2) secured a good run off the speed on Thursday at Redcliffe and just seemed to get a touch keen. She ran on well into third not beaten far by Taurus Bromac. If she can settle a touch better this time she should be hard to beat. 

ROCKNROLL KNIGHT (4) got a long way back in the run last start at Redcliffe and finished strongly to get over the top of Our Sweet Jess and Black Gemstone. He should get a similar type of run in this race and will be running on again. 

LADY ALLEGRA (5) draws poorly outside the front row in this race. She has likely derived good benefit from her three runs back from a spell and could be nearing peak fitness. 

SELECTIONS: SATURDAY DANCE (7), BAHAMAS MISS (2), ROCKNROLL KNIGHT (4), LADY ALLEGRA (5)

SUGGESTED BET: SATURDAY DANCE (7) to win. 

RACE 6 

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (2) should have the gate speed to hold the runners to his outside and should be able to work pat Beyonski who has been racing uncompetitively. Her latest win came when leading all of the way at Redcliffe on a night there was quite tough conditions. 

CONVAIR HUSTLER (7) finished fifth last start but was left without cover and was beaten just 2 metres there. He should get a good run through on the back of a runner likely to be keen to hold a forward position and should run well again. 

WILLROBY (4) raced off the pegs last start and wasn’t beaten far finishing sixth. He doesn’t have a huge amount of gate speed and does draw a touch awkwardly. 

SHES BEWITCHED (9) has poor numerical form and seemingly hasn’t been at her best in recent outings. She is a capable sit sprinter and lands in a suitable type of grade.

RACE 7

LULU LUCIFER (1) led last start at Marburg in a similar type of race and was able to run away a comfortable winner. She has bounced back into some of her better form in recent outings and looks to have landed another race where she can lead. She should be hard to beat. 

SAN SABA (6) should get a good run leaders back in this race behind Lulu Lucifer. She ran well last start when finishing second to Precocious Kate after sitting leaders back in the run. She can run well again. 

BEAU STEELE (7) looks likely to get a favourable run in this race potentially 3 back on the pegs. He has been racing well in slightly tougher company. He races well over the trip and should go well again. 

THE REAL ROCKETMAN (8) led last start and scored a comfortable win when leading all the way at Redcliffe. He draws less favourably this time and usually does run his best races out in front.

RACE 8

SAINT LOUIS BEAT (1) is first up from a spell in this race which looks a query. He has good gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead. If he is anywhere near his best he will be hard to beat. 

KEAYANG TARA (7) was saved for one run at them off the speed last start and finished off strongly to nab second behind Ideal Tiger at Albion Park. She looks set to get a good run off the speed again and should be running on late. 

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8) should get a good run off the speed in this race. He was running on strongly last start into third in a race taken out by Ideal Tiger. He will need the speed on early and can be running into it late. 

MAJOR SLIP UP (9) is a horse that races best up on speed in his races. He put in a really good run in his latest start at Albion Park when getting back to last and running on strongly to finish just 7.7 metres off the winner.
