Form Analysis: Redcliffe April 2

RACE 1 

MAGIC JUJON (6) was impressive last time in when scoring a hat-trick of wins at this track. She was then sent around favourite last time out and was driven quietly but was just left with too much to do late. She should be fitter in this race and will be hard to beat.

STAY DREAMY (3) ran a better race last start when finishing off nicely into fourth behind Lucky Luda. She has the draw advantage over her key rivals in this race and can look to take advantage of that early.

SERENUS (4) ran well on debut last start when finishing second behind Highnmighty. She is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from that outing but draws much less favourably and may need to race off the pegs this time.

MALARKY (5) comes into this race first up from a spell without a trial. She may need the run and draws poorly which could see her shuffled back early.

RACE 2 

AMYLEE (2) took on a strong race last start which was taken out by Stripes at Albion Park. She made up good ground late widest on the track running fifth but was very close to second placed Duke Of Argyll who has since won. If she can lead she is likely to be very hard to beat.

GOTTAGO BARNEY (5) started in a recent trial at Albion Park and was beaten by superstar QLD trotter Gus who rated fast time. He won his prior trial impressively over Miarka who has since come out and won. He has shown previously he can do some work and should be hard to beat despite the poor draw. 

LEOTA (7) started outside the front row two starts ago at this track and couldn’t quite reel in Miss Bluetrump who was impressive in victory rating good time for the grade. He draws to have options being the only horse on the front row and should be thereabouts.

MULLUM JUDITH (4) is having her third run for the stable of Jack Butler. She ran fourth in a reasonable field behind Nite Irene her last race start. She will find this tougher but can figure in the minor money.

RACE 3

BELMER BETTY (9) ran very well last time out to finish fourth behind Matteo last start having secured a good run on the pegs. She should get a good run off the speed in this race from a good trailing draw and can be running on strongly. 

LADY ALLEGRA (6) took on a stronger field last start in a race taken out by Matteo over Ruby Rhayne Bow. She was first up there for 2 years and is likely to have derived a lot of benefit from the outing. Despite the wide draw she looks one of the top chances.

WECANONLYDREAM (8) secured a good run two starts ago and was able to run a close up second behind Icanandiwill at Albion Park over the 1660. He was well beaten last start by Vinnie Nitro but wasn’t far off second placed Fancy Like Barbie when running third over the 2040 at Redcliffe. 

BLACK GEMSTONE (4) ran well last start behind Vinnie Nitro not beaten far for second when finishing fifth. She should get a good run off the speed and can be running on late.

RACE 4 

ETERNAL BLISS (10) will be looking for a hat-trick of wins in this race having scored at Albion Paek two starts ago before winning again last start at Redcliffe. Although she draws much worse and is unlikely to lead this time she has been very impressive running fast sectionals her which should see her capable of getting into the race from back in the field. 

DRAKAINA (4) has done a majority of its racing in NSW and comes into this race first up for the stable of Barb Barry. She has gate speed and a good draw in this race which should see her able to find a forward position early. 

KING BLING (9) worked hard last start before being left without cover and finishing at the rear of the field. He had run very well his start prior finishing second to Oakley Shard who was able to win again on Tuesday at Albion Park in fast time.

COOL DUDE JOEY (2) had very little luck last time out in a much weaker race at Albion Park where he was shuffled back and he ran on strongly into second behind Victree Charlie. He should secure the right type of run from a good draw.

SUGGESTED BET: DRAKAINA (4) to win. 

RACE 5

OUR UNCLE LES (1) has good gate speed and seems to do some of his best work when able to get out in front. The last time he was able to lead he looked to have the race won before Well Said Nugget closed off strongly and was able to nab him late. He should run well. 

MISS HATTIE (7) secured a good run off the speed last start before being forced wide in what became a dash home. She should get a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse and can be running on late.

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (5) was able to score a good win three starts ago and drops back into a similar type of race. He draws wide this time and may be shuffled a long way back early relying on a genuine early tempo to bring him into the race. 

GIDUP CAPTAIN (6) was able to lead and win two starts ago running home nice time for the grade. He draws widest this time and may get shuffled back but does look fairly well graded.

RACE 6 

CHARGE AHEAD (5) comes into this race fourth up having not had much luck in his first three runs this campaign. He is a horse that generally does his best work when able to get up on speed and can look to do that in this race.

LANAI (3) wasn’t beaten far two starts ago over the 2138 at Albion Park in very fast time. He backed that up last start hitting the line well over the 1660 behind Attachment. He draws well in this race and should be able to secure a good run close to the speed. 

GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (2) has excellent gate speed and should be able to work to the lead before having options from there. He led last start and was just run down late by Calling Buddy who he takes on again in this race. He steps up in trip but does seemingly race well over the middle distance. 

CALLING BUDDY (6) has bounced back to form in recent outings. He ran a good second hitting the line well three starts ago and was able to back that up by winning last start sweeping down the outside to score. He draws wide this time and will likely get a long way back.

SELECTIONS: LANAI (3), CHARGE AHEAD (5), GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (2), CALLING BUDDY (6)

SUGGESTED BET: CHARGE AHEAD (4) to win.

RACE 7

ASHLEE NITRO (7) draws to follow out a gate speed horse in this race. She has recaptured some form in recent outings winning three starts ago before running a good second and a good fifth. She looks hard to beat. 

SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (1) impressed on return from a spell last time out when flashing home late up the inside to nab third. She has the speed to lead in this race drawn ideally and should be hard to run down. 

ROSIE POLLEN (10) was a winner three starts ago when leading all the way at this track running good time. She took on a stronger race which was taken out by Much Bettor last time start and she should find this race easier. 

TIGER TOMMY (2) got shuffled back from a wide draw last time out and was running on late into fourth in a race taken out by Bracken Warrior. She should secure a good run close to the speed and will be running on late.

RACE 8

REDS STAR DEAL (1) has previously led and won at this track in good time. He had little luck last time out when caught wide and shuffled to the rear of the field. He has the gate speed to drive through and lead again and should prove hard to catch.

MERRY JEWEL (6) has been very impressive since moving to the stable of Donny Smith. She has won her last two starts showing she can both lead and do the work in her races. Despite the wide draw she should be hard to beat again in this race. 

COPPERFIELD (2) was very well driven last start to nab the 1-1 before just battling away for third. He looks well graded again in this race and should secure a similar type of run. He should be hard to beat.

TAKE A CHANCE (7) raced without luck last time out when dragged out of it by a tiring runner before hitting the line nicely late. He draws to follow the potential leader in this race and should get his chance.

RACE 9

STILLYOURSHOT (3) hasn’t been at his absolute best in recent outings. He worked hard throughout last start and was well beaten in good time for the grade. He draws well and drops in grade in this race. If he could find the lead he would be hard to beat.

FAKISTRA (1) was well beaten on return last start after getting back and looking to run on. He has gate speed meaning he should be able to find a forward position early before having options from there. 

TWO TICKS (2) impressed last start rating good time after being forced to sit without cover throughout. She has a favourable draw in this race and may look to hold a forward position early.

DEEBO (9) has been racing without a great deal of luck in recent outings. In a race taken out by Calling Buddy last start he found himself a long way back in the run and made up good ground late.
