RACE 1

PERFECT FEELING (1) has had success in this series in the past rating good time for the grade. He looks ideally suited to this format possessing plenty of gate speed. He should lead for a long way.

MYSTICALFANTASY (2) has been impressive this time in. She came from off the speed two starts ago and proved too good there over Black Gemstone before racing without luck last start. She should get a good run behind the speed.

ONE CHAIN ROAD (4) has plenty of gate speed but does draw outside of horses with equally good gate speed. He can likely press forward and should be close enough to run well from there.

LA BOMBA (6) returns from a spell in this race. Her latest outing she finished fourth behind Martin Magic who has since won a number of races including the Gold Strike final at Marburg.

SELECTIONS: PERFECT FEELING (1), MYSTICALFANTASY (2), ONE CHAIN ROAD (4), LA BOMBA (6)

SUGGESTED BET: PERFECT FEELING (1) to win.

RACE 2

PRINCESS ARNA (4) has been in good form since landing in the stable of Donny Smith in QLD. She has won three of her past five starts and lands in a suitable grade in this race. She should be able to press forward and race up on speed and will be hard to beat.

JUKEBOX JET (1) has good early speed and should be able to hold a forward position in this race. He was a winner two starts ago when securing a good run off the speed and running on best late to score. If he can hold the lead early he would likely be quite hard to run down.

ILLBEWATCHING (3) is racing well and has shown in recent times he’s still capable of doing some work in his races despite getting on in age. He has plenty of gate speed and will likely look to press forward and race up on speed.

PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (6) looks the class runner in the field in this race. She draws widest as a result of her ODM tag which is likely to make things tough but she does have good speed and can likely win from a number of positions should the race be run to suit.

SELECTIONS: PRINCESS ARNA (4), JUKEBOX JET (1), ILLBEWATCHING (3), PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (6)

SUGGESTED BET: PRINCESS ARNA (4) to win.

RACE 3

MISS FROUFROU (1) usually shows good gate speed and looks likely to have the speed to lead in this race. She was able to bounce back to some of her better form two starts ago when leading at Albion Park before scoring a big victory. If she leads she should be hard to beat.

A PERFECT DANCE (8) was able to score an all the way victory last time out at this track. She draws less favourably this time but is racing well and with the right run into the race she should be thereabouts again.

MARDIBRINGSAPARTY (9) got a long way back last start from a wide gate and finishing off strong late to be beaten just 4.3 metres in a race taken out by Blue Suede Rocka. She should settle closer in the run this time and should be running into it late.

GLENLEDI BOY (4) has been racing in good form having been driven for his sharp turn of foot in this grade. He made up lots of ground last start to get into second behind Allmighty Max over the 2040 at this track.

SELECTIONS: MISS FROUFROU (1), A PERFECT DANCE (8), MARDIBRINGSAPARTY (9), GLENLEDI BOY (4)

SUGGESTED BET: MISS FROUFROU (1) to win.

RACE 4

REDS ABLAZE (9) is a clear standout on class in this race having run competitive races at Albion Park in very fast time for this grade including a win where she rated 1.50.7 for her mile rate. She comes into this race first up without a trial and draws the back row but does still look hardest to beat.

HES SWEET (2) was forced to race without cover last start at this track and ran very well there when narrowly missing behind Blue Suede Rocka. He looks to find a race where he might be able to lead and can run well if he does lead.

SMARTER THAN YOU (4) got shuffled a long way back last start and hit the line strongly late to run third. He should settle slightly closer this time and it appears a race which should generate a strong tempo.

MATTEO (6) has been excellent since landing in QLD winning four of his past five starts. This looks his biggest test yet drawing widest in a stronger field and she will likely need to do work at some stage in the race.

SELECTIONS: REDS ABLAZE (9), HES SWEET (2), SMARTER THAN YOU (4), MATTEO (6)

SUGGESTED BET: REDS ABLAZE (9) to win.

RACE 5

WINDY HILL WALLY (5) scored his latest victory when able to secure the run leaders back behind Docta Feelgood and was able to sprint best to score. He generally seems to do his best work when able to get up on speed in his races and looks to find a race where he can do that.

BARRETT (9) did some work last start before securing a good run and just wasn’t quite able to reel in the winner B Mac C who has already won again. He should get a good run off the speed and should be running on late.

REAL TIN TIN (6) seems to be much better when sat up and saved for one run in his races and may not have been suited when burning to lead last start before appearing to have his chance when running fourth. He is likely to get a long way back and can be running on late.

PRINCE JOY (2) has a good draw in this race and is generally very hard to run down when able to lead in his races. His latest victory came when working mid race to find the breeze before just outstaying them late.

SELECTIONS: WINDY HILL WALLY (5), BARRETT (9), REAL TIN TIN (6), PRINCE JOY (2)

SUGGESTED BET: WINDY HILL WALLY (5) each way.

RACE 6

LITTLEMICKEY (4) secured a good run behind Merge Right recently at this track over the 2040 and travelled nicely throughout coming up just a touch short running second albeit in very fast time for the grade. He has the draw advantage on a number of his main rivals and should be hard to beat.

ROCK IT BABY (5) impressed last start doing plenty of work to find the position outside the leader at Redcliffe before battling away well to finish third there behind Pennie Packer. This race looks a touch easier and he should be able to get forward again.

SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (3) has bounced back into some of his better form in recent outings having run back to back second placings. He was able to lead two starts ago and wasn’t beaten far there. He may look to find the lead again and should be thereabouts.

THE HARRIS HAWK (7) draws behind a horse in this race unlikely to be favoured in this race which could make things awkward. He has been racing well and with luck he looks a good hope in this race.

SELECTIONS: LITTLEMICKEY (4), ROCK IT BABY (5), SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (3), THE HARRIS HAWK (7)

SUGGESTED BET: ROCK IT BABY (5) each way.

RACE 7

RALLY AROUND (6) secured a good run 1 out 1 back last time out and was running on late into second behind Designer Jewel. He was first up from a spell in that race and is likely to have derived a lot of benefit from the outing.

VICTREE ATOM (2) had very little luck last time out when working hard early before racing off the pegs in a race taken out by Mister Freeman who has since run well. He looks to get another good opportunity to lead early before having options from there.

DIGBY DEVIL (3) was well beaten last start in a race taken out by Merge Right at this track in very fast time for the grade. He should settle close enough in the run from a good draw and can be running on late.

WILPEKA (5) was left to do the work without cover in a race they rated very slow time the first half of the race. She wasn’t beaten far in that race just 2.8 metres off the winner Designer Jewel but may still have had her chance given the 63.3 second first half which was followed by a moderate 29.7 third quarter suiting those runners on speed.

SELECTIONS: RALLY AROUND (6), VICTREE ATOM (2), DIGBY DEVIL (3), WILPEKA (5)

SUGGESTED BET: RALLY AROUND (6) to win.

RACE 8

LAST CALL (10) was able to lead all the way in a heat of the trot rods series. She draws outside the back row this time which looks less suitable but she appears well graded and has run some of her better races when coming from off the speed.

FAVREAU (5) looks to find a race where he is very well graded and can press forward and race in a prominent position. If he was able to work his way to the lead he would likely be incredibly hard to beat but cant be ruled out as a winning hope if he is left without cover.

MADAME WEST (6) has been badly out of form but finds herself right back in grade a result. She hasn’t placed in 9 starts but looks find a very suitable grade of race and should be very hard to hold out if she has the race run to suit.

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (3) put in a much improved effort last time out when getting a long way off the speed. He is likely to be shuffled back again and if the race is run to suit he can be running into it late.

SELECTIONS: LAST CALL (10), FAVREAU (5), MADAME WEST (6), DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (3)

SUGGESTED BET: LAST CALL (10) to win.

Slide8_127.png

RACE 9

UCANCALLME AL (3) started a short price favourite last time out at this track and raced without luck when being checked and making a break. He draws to advantage this time and appears likely to be able to find the lead. He should be hard to run down.

AMYLEE (4) was able to find the front last time out at Redcliffe and scored a big win over Leota. She can look to press forward in this race and from a good draw it appears she should be close enough in the run.

MIKI MOO (6) wasn’t able to hold the draw advantage on stablemate Matteo last time out and as a result she was left doing the work without cover battling on strongly for a close up second. She may be left to do the work again in this race and can run well again.

LUVN OSMAN (2) should have the speed to get forward in this race from a low draw. If he can lead initially before taking a trail on one of the better chances he appears to have strong claims for the minor money.

SELECTIONS: UCANCALLME AL (3), AMYLEE (4), MIKI MOO (6), LUVN OSMAN (2)

SUGGESTED BET: UCANCALLME AL (3) to win.

RACE 10

CRUNCHY TUNA (9) should get a good run off the speed in this race. He has been taking on stronger company than the field he meets in this race and looks well suited. He should be hard to hold out late.

HEAD RUSH (8) was heavily backed late last start and raced with no luck locking wheels at a crucial stage of the race. He appears to meet a similar field in this race and should be hard to beat from a soft trailing draw.

SERGENTMAJOR JUJON (6) is first up in this race drawn the outside which looks quite awkward on paper for a horse that still seems to be working things out.

SHAKE (3) trialled up nicely prior to debuting at this track. He never appeared to be travelling very well and although she was badly checked and taken out of play at the time she was checked it appeared unlikely she would figure in the finish.

SELECTIONS: CRUNCHY TUNA (9), HEAD RUSH (8), SERGENTMAJOR JUJON (6), SHAKE (3)

SUGGESTED BET: CRUNCHY TUNA (9) to win.
