RACE 1

LOCHINVAR JEWELLS (1) had her first start for the stable of Donny Smith last time out at Redcliffe where she was forced to do the work without cover and battled on strongly for third. She draws ideally in this race and should have the speed to lead. She should be very hard to run down.

THE HARRIS HAWK (2) has been racing well scoring a good stand start victory at Marburg four starts ago. He started from an awkward draw last time out and raced without luck there. He has options in this race from a good draw.

BONNIES CAM (3) hasn’t been at his absolute best in recent outings but likely hasn’t been suited doing work outside the leader given he has previously shown he is more fast than tough. The Trot Rods format looks suitable and he has won a Trot Rods race before.

WARRAWEE FLYER (5) has been in excellent form scoring back to back wins four and five starts ago. She was left to do the work last time out and battled on well for fourth. She may be left to work outside the leader in this race.

SELECTIONS: LOCHINVAR JEWELLS (1), THE HARRIS HAWK (2), BONNIES CAM (3), WARRAWEE FLYER (5)

SUGGESTED BET: LOCHINVAR JEWELLS (1) to win.

RACE 2

LITTLEMICKEY (1) has gate speed and will likely look to drive through and lead this race. There are a number of very fast beginners drawn outside of him which may allow a bit of a stagger for him to drive through underneath and hold up. He wasn’t suited last start when caught outside the leader.

BETTYS GOLD CLASS (2) has been racing without a huge deal of luck in recent outings. She has previously run second in a heat of the Trot Rods series and should secure a good run from the favourable draw.

JEFFCOATE (5) has been excellent since landing in QLD running a number of very good races when sitting up on speed. He secured a good run last start on the leaders back bursting through late to score an easy win. He looks likely to be left doing the work this time outside the leader.

PRECOCIOUS KATE (3) is looking for a hat-trick of wins in this race having scored last start over San Saba and Lochinvar Jewells at this track. She should secure a good run close to the speed and can run well again.

SELECTIONS: LITTLEMICKEY (1), BETTYS GOLD CLASS (2), JEFFCOATE (5), PRECOCIOUS KATE (3)

SUGGESTED BET: LITTLEMICKEY (1) to win.

RACE 3

MOST TRIUMPHANT (2) has very little gate speed which appears a query in this race. She does draw well for a horse that isn’t blessed with a huge amount of gate speed and should still be close enough. She comes into this race first up for the stable of Jack Butler and should run well.

KERBANG (3) has good gate speed and may look to press forward and find the lead in this race. He has been racing without a great deal of luck including last start when caught wide at a crucial part of the race. He looks likely to land a much more suitable run in this race and should be hard to beat.

CHAMONIX (1) hasn’t quite been at his absolute best in recent outings. He wasn’t suited last time out when getting back and running on off a very slow tempo. He is usually best served when not doing too much work early and if he can land leaders back he looks to have strong claims in this race.

CANADIAN LASS (5) is a capable in this type of race. She got back last start after starting from a poor draw and was doing her best work late in a race taken out by Ohana Dancer. She can figure if the race is run to suit.

SELECTIONS: KERBANG (3), MOST TRIUMPHANT (2), CHAMONIX (1), CANADIAN LASS (5)

SUGGESTED BET: MOST TRIUMPHANT (2) to win.

RACE 4

DUAL CAM (2) is racing well and appears to land in a suitable race where he draws well. He has gate speed and should be able to press forward and find the lead. He ran a very good race three starts ago when finishing third in fast time for the grade at Albion Park over the 2138.

BARRETT (6) draws poorly again but has been racing well. He was unlucky not to win last start when getting back and flashing home just leaving his run a touch too late when beaten by Tiger Tommy. He is likely to get back in the run again and should be running on late.

OUR ULTIMATE QUEEN (1) has been going well and looks likely to get a perfect run in this race. She got back last start and ran on strongly into third behind Hes Regal and Bonnies Cam. She should settle close in the run and can be dangerous late.

REAL TIN TIN (8) seems to be a horse best suited when driven quietly early and saved for one run. He pressed forward last start and failed to finish the race off after securing the 1-1 finishing last. He may be better suited in this race.

SELECTIONS: DUAL CAM (2), BARRETT (6), OUR ULTIMATE QUEEN (1), REAL TIN TIN (8)

SUGGESTED BET: DUAL CAM (2) to win.

RACE 5

SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (1) led three starts ago and ran well there when finishing second to Stormtide a horse racing down in grade. He has the perfect draw in this race and has options early whether he elects to lead again or take a trail.

LA BOMBA (8) took on a heat of the Trot Rods last time out and was well beaten finishing fifth. She wasn’t suited there when starting from a wide gate and not having the best of luck and is likely to be fitter for the outing.

ILLBEWATCHING (2) has been racing in good form in recent outings. He was forced to do the work last time out and battled on well for third there over the Trot Rods distance at this track. He had run a good third his start prior when leading and appearing to get a touch too keen in the race. This is easier.

COURAGEOUS LEO (7) comes into this race second up from a spell having been well beaten last time out after starting a big price. He is likely to have derived a lot of benefit from that outing and might find this race a touch easier. He could be a knockout hope in this race.

SELECTIONS: SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (1), LA BOMBA (8), ILLBEWATCHING (2), COURAGEOUS LEO (7)

SUGGESTED BET: COURAGEOUS LEO (7) each way.

RACE 6

VODKA EN ICE (6) was forced to do plenty of work last time out when working over early to find the position outside the leader before forging to the front and just being run down late by Major Lincoln who had done no early work in the race. He looks well graded and should be hard to beat.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (5) was forced to sit without cover last start at this track and was just run down late by Diamond Deano who was able to secure an economical run in the race. She may be forced to do the work again in this race from a wide draw.

MAGIC NITRO (1) has good gate speed and should get a good run in this race. She wasn’t beaten far in fourth behind Vermont last start in a race that was of a similar level of quality.

ROLLONX (9) was well beaten last start after making a break in a race taken out by Major Lincoln. He is rarely far away in this type of race and should get a good run off the speed.

SELECTIONS: VODKA EN ICE (6), THE CASUAL GOOSE (5), MAGIC NITRO (1), ROLLONX (9)

SUGGESTED BET: VODKA EN ICE (6) to win.

RACE 7

MIKI MOO (9) may have let the leader get away with a touch too much last start when sitting a length off through a slow 31.4 second quarter before driving late and just failing to pick up UCANCALLME AL (7). She has shown since landing in QLD she is very capable of doing work in her races and the back row draw seemingly shouldn’t worry her. She can be driven like the best horse in this race.

MELFIELD SORYT (4) is having her first run for a new stable in this race. She draws a touch awkwardly and is difficult to line up. She did rate good time when winning at Penrith which should see her well placed to be competitive in this race.

IM BUSTED (1) was narrowly beaten by Saturday Dance last time out at this track when running on from back in the field. He draws more favourably this time and should get a good opportunity to lead and be hard to run down.

UCANCALLME AL (7) was able to get things cheap out in front last start when leading and being well rated to score. He draws awkwardly this time inside the back row and will need luck at the right time.

SELECTIONS: MIKI MOO (9), MELFIELD SORYT (4), IM BUSTED (1), UCANCALLME AL (7)

SUGGESTED BET: MIKI MOO (9) to win.

RACE 8

DENIS THE PUNTER (8) secured the right run last start leaders back behind VICTREE ATOM (4) and was flashing home up the inside to nab second. He should secure a good run off the speed this time and seems to be well suited when driven for his high speed. He can run well again.

PRESCOTT (9) should secure a good run off the speed in this race from a good trailing draw. He ran on well from back in the field last start in a race taken out by Rally Around. He should be running on well again.

VICTREE ATOM (4) went below his best last time out when leading and going very slowly before fading late into a close up fourth. He appears to find a race with less depth and he can bounce back.

KIA ORA LOU (6) made a break scoring up last time out and finds herself in a familiar position outside the draw. She has shown good ability when doing things right in races and can be running on late.

SELECTIONS: DENIS THE PUNTER (8), PRESCOTT (9), VICTREE ATOM (4), KIA ORA LOU (6)

SUGGESTED BET: DENIS THE PUNTER (8) to win.

RACE 9

MISS MUNCH (1) was held up at a crucial stage two starts ago before flashing to the line in what was a very eye catching effort. She seemed to appreciate being on the pegs in that run and should get a similar type of trip in this race. She couldn’t replicate that effort last time out but did race off the pegs there.

BETTER ONE (9) trialled up nicely recently at Albion Park scoring by a decent margin late. He is likely to have derived a lot of benefit from that outing and draws to get a soft run early in this race.

SERGENTMAJOR JUJON (6) he was forced to work last time out from a wide draw and may not have been suited first up from a spell. He should be better for the outing and if he can secure a slightly more economical run he can run well.

ZEUSTORM (5) trialled up moderately recently at Albion Park when finishing midfield. He is likely to have derived benefit from the outing and should go better on debut. Has to be respected in a strong stable.

SELECTIONS: MISS MUNCH (1), BETTER ONE (9), SERGENTMAJOR JUJON (6), ZEUSTORM (5)

SUGGESTED BET: MISS MUNCH (1) to win.

RACE 10

PICCOLO DIAVOLO (3) ran well last time out when finishing it off well into second behind Fourty One Gee. He should secure a good run in the small field and is likely to have derived good benefit from his latest outing when first up from a spell.

WILPEKA (2) ran a better race last start when sitting outside the leader and battling on nicely for second behind Rally Around. She should secure a good run close to the speed and off her latest effort she can figure.

ELKA ANGEL (4) was beaten a long way last time out behind some very smart horses in Move It Lou and Always B Cool in an effort that should see her very competitive in a race of this nature. She ran well her start prior when finishing second to Call It Bling after sitting on the leaders back.

GOOD LOOKING JUJON (6) comes into this race first up from a spell. She took on a strong race last time out won by a smart horse in Call Kelly. She may need to do work at some point or will need the race run to suit.

SELECTIONS: PICCOLO DIAVOLO (3), WILPEKA (2), ELKA ANGEL (4), GOOD LOOKING JUJON (6)

SUGGESTED BET: PICCOLO DIAVOLO (3) to win.
