Form Analysis: Redcliffe April 8

RACE 1 

CANADIAN LASS (2) was forced to do the work last start at this track and proved too good there when controlling the race nicely. She draws favourably this time and should be able to secure a good run close enough to the speed. She steps up in grade but looks capable.

IDEAL ASSASSIN (1) has excellent gate speed and should be able to lead before having options from there from the good draw. She ran well enough in a race taken out by Oakley Shard in fast time at Albion Park and should run well from this draw.

ALLMIGHTY MAX (7) ran a huge race last start when forced to sit without cover before racing past the leader and just being nabbed late by Welease Woddewick who had the perfect run on his back throughout. He should get a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse and can be running on late. 

WINDY HILL WALLY (5) took on a strong race last start running third behind Sweet Agenda who rated fast time when winning. He usually races well when able to get up on speed and finds a suitable race to do that.

RACE 2 

ROLLYARRRZ (2) led two starts ago and proved too good leading all the way at this track and rating good time. He hasn’t started for almost three weeks since his latest rate which does appear somewhat of a query. If he could find the front again he would likely be hard to run down.

RIGHTYO (1) was able to secure a good run off the speed last start after drawing poorly over the 2040 at this track and was able to prove too good late. He draws favourably in this race and should have the gate speed to be dictating early before having options.

BAIL DENIED (5) drew poorly last start and was forced a long way back in the run. He made a break when the speed went on in the race and was well beaten as a result. He is well graded in this type of race and should be hard to hold out late. 

MISS SYRAH (7) raced without luck last start when taken to the pegs before hitting the line nicely having just a touch too much to do to get into the placings behind Canadian Lass. She should get an economical run in this race and can be finishing off well again.

RACE 3

STORMTIDE (10) has dropped a long way back in grade into this race which goes some way to negating his outside back row draw. He looks likely to secure a good run off the speed in this race and if the race is run to suit he should be running on strongly.

LITTLEMICKEY (4) ran another very good race last start when working forward early before restraining for a position and running on nicely into third behind Canadian Lass. He looks to find himself in an easier race and with the right run should be hard to beat.

WELL SAID NUGGET (6) led last start at this track and appeared to get quite keen out in front. He kicked clear before being run down very late finishing third. He had been in excellent form his starts prior and when sat up and saved for one run he seems to be best suited. 

SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (1) has been racing better in recent starts. He looks like he should have the gate speed to lead in the early stages of this race before having options from there. He ran well when sat up and saved for one run at this track two starts ago and may look to adopt similar tactics.

RACE 4 

BEER MONEY (1) has good gate speed and should be able to lead in this race. He has run well previously leading at this track and may appreciate the step back to the 1780. He had no luck last time out when shuffled to near last on the pegs before making up some ground late. 

BRACKEN WARRIOR (7) should get a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse in Beer Money. He was able to bounce back into some form last start when leading controlling the race nicely and proving a touch too good there. 

PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (2) trialled up sharply recently rating good time at this track. She then did a lot of early work in a fast 36 lead time for the grade battling on well for sixth. She draws well in this race and should be hard to beat.

WAR CLUB (4) dived for the pegs early two starts ago and was able to secure a good run off the speed on the pegs in what was a much stronger race taken out by Major Crunch. He is a horse that does his best work when saved up for one run at them late and should be running on strongly if the race is run to suit.

RACE 5

SUNNY COVE (3) has very good gate speed and will likely look to press forward and find a prominent position from a good draw. He was left without cover last time out and battled on nicely to finish just 6 metres off Take Courage over the 2040 journey at Redcliffe. He is better suited over the 1780 and should be hard to beat. 

GOOD WORD THAT (9) raced without luck last start in a stronger race at Albion Park when shuffled a long way back early before running on into sixth. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and if the race is run to suit he should be running on strongly. 

MAJOR LINCOLN (8) got back last start and was doing his best work through the line late when finishing fourth. He looks likely to settle a bit closer this time from a back row draw but does appear to land in a race where there may be a touch more depth. 

ROSARITO (1) showed gate speed last start before taking a trail and running well there for second. He seems to race best when driven that way and may elect to adopt similar tactics in this race.

SUGGESTED BET: SUNNY COVE (3) to win.

RACE 6 

BLUE DRAGON (5) raced without luck last time out when tightened early causing her to miss the position behind the leader Zeezeezoom. That proved crucial when flashing late making up plenty of ground and just running second to Zeezeezoom. She has a draw where she can get forward this time and is going to prove hard to beat.

MIKI MOO (9) did a lot of work through the early and middle stages of the race last start before eventually finding the top and proving too good. This is a step up in grade but she rated good time last start and should be running on well in this race. 

REAL MIKI (7) impressed last start when able to drive through and lead rating good time out in front. He faces a potentially awkward draw in this race inside the back row but does follow out a gate speed horse. If the luck comes at the right time he can figure.

MISS BLUETRUMP (8) ran well last start to not be beaten far behind classy filly Alwaysbjoy at Albion Park in a 1.50.6 mile rate. She should find this considerably easier and lands a nice trailing draw in this race.

RACE 7

LEOTA (7) ran second to Amylee last start who was quite well graded in a restricted wins race. He ran on strongly late and given the awkward draw in this race she may need to finish off well again late to get into this race. 

VICTREE ATOM (2) led last start before eventually handing over to Miki Moo having done plenty of work in the early stages of the race. Given the early work he was forced to do he battled on nice to nab third. Lands in a touch race but should be hard to beat the way he has been racing.

PRESCOTT (9) broke through for a maiden win last start after being luckless in his few starts before that. He draws to get a nice trail in this race and despite a step up in grade he looks capable and can be running on late. 

KIA ORA LOU (6) made a mistake at the start last time out and took no part in that race. She had seemingly made a step in the right direction her start prior when leading most of the way and putting up a big margin on her rivals late.

RACE 8

HEZA DIRTY DANCER (5) ran very well on debut last start when doing plenty of work and battling on nicely for second behind Dont Ask Again. He may be forced to do the work again in this race from a wide draw but off his latest effort having derived plenty of benefit from the outing he should be hard to beat.

SWEET CHARMER (4) secured a good run last start behind Taking Stock and was able to run second there. She had badly struggled to get around the smaller her start prior at Redcliffe and will need to have improved with experience to figure in this race. 

PHOTO BOMB (8) ran a better race last start when sitting without cover at Albion Park and battling away fairly for fourth behind Taking Stock. He is seemingly still learning to race at this stage of his career. He looks to have each way claims. 

PERFECT LOU (9) led two starts ago at Marburg and was wayward there when veering off the track in the home straight and being stood down to trial as a result. He trialled up just fairly before returning and going quite poorly last start at Redcliffe when beaten by 30 metres. If he can bounce back to his better form he can figure.

RACE 9

PRETTY WICKED (2) has good gate speed and should be able to zip across and lead in the early stages. She led two starts ago and ran a close up second to San Luca who rated good time for an early season 2YO. She should be hard to beat.

PINK BONUS (4) trialled up reasonably well ahead of her race track debut last start. She ran well on debut being driven quietly early before hitting the line strongly late once presented into the clear. She is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from the debut run and can run well in this race. 

PAMPERED ART (7) wasn’t beaten far last start in what appears likely to become a good form race with the winner Smooth Trubadiesel looking impressive when beating Dont Ask Again who has since won well. She draws awkwardly but with luck she can figure.

STAWBERRIESNCREAM (8) was able to show speed in a recent trial before electing to hand over and running quite well there. She is likely to have derived benefit from her latest trial and should run well from a soft trailing draw.
