Form Analysis: Albion Park May 14

14 May 2026

RACE ONE

TONJAY (9) was a winner on debut off the back of some handy trial form. That victory came at Redcliffe when rolling forward from gate 4 to sit parked and prove too strong. Runner-up to the speedy TILLY DUNNAGE at his second start, he set the tempo on that occasion and finds a winnable contest.

 MISS MUNCH (4)
claimed the maiden breaking win at Redcliffe two starts back when taking control and gripping on for a narrow margin. Locked away and chasing in the TILLY DUNNAGE race that a few in this contest have form through, she can look to optimise the barrier.

 BETTOR BE BODHI (8)
started from the inside gate last start and was crossed in a bumpy start to the race. Grabbing the bronze when 4m from the winner CHINCHAGA BLAZE, he will be probing.

 HEZA DIRTY DANCER (7)
made a mess of the start here two runs back to cop the ODM embargo. Chasing home for 3rd last start from deep field, he can be joining in again here.

SELECTIONS: TONJAY (9), MISS MUNCH (4), BETTOR BE BODHI (8), HEZA DIRTY DANCER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: TONJAY (9) to win

RACE TWO

One of a few races that will prove a hard read on this card, if ROYAL WINKLE (3) can remain calm, it shapes as a race that would be within reach. Runner-up behind GRACENAVA two starts back, a second line gate and an error ended his chances last start. Early speed helps.

 OCTOBER RACKETEER (9)
is first up for the new stable and makes his first appearance of 2026. Last seen in December when midfield behind DIEGO DELGADO at Redcliffe, he has not been to the public trials which throws up a query, but if near his best, this would be within reach.

 IDEAL TIGER (8)
was beaten by a wide second line gate last time at Marburg with the race dictated from the front. A gritty winner here three back, he will be probing for openings.

 MISS HATTIE (7)
has a pair of wins in her past five starts, including a last start victory from the second line at Redcliffe. Finishing over the top to score in that contest, she can chime in late.

SELECTIONS:
ROYAL WINKLE (3), OCTOBER RACKETEER (9), IDEAL TIGER (8), MISS HATTIE (7)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ROYAL WINKLE (3) to win

RACE THREE

Showing good early speed to find the front before taking cover LUVN OSMAN (10) chased home for the silver when 6m from UCANCALLMEAL. Not suited when asked to park the start prior, with the right cart into this, he strikes the right assignment to capitalise.

 WHYKIKAMOOCOW (8)
is knocking on the door and would only need some factors in his favour to arrive against this line up. Sent around to sit parked last start, he was just 1m adrift of the winner ALSROKSTAR. A close 3rd the start prior, he will be searching for gaps to challenge.

 WECANONLYDREAM (3)
was locked away on the inside last start and made some late metres to grab the bronze, finishing 5m from VICTREE ATOM. Positioning cheaply will assist his claims.

 PINKCHAMPAGNE (9)
will take further benefit following a third run back from a spell. Taken back from gate 7 and trying to join in on that occasion, she can trail through early here.

SELECTIONS: LUVN OSMAN (10), WHYKIKAMOOCOW (8), WECANONLYDREAM (3), PINKCHAMPAGNE (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
LUVN OSMAN (10) to win

RACE FOUR

Making her first appearance since crossing the Tasman, TILLY DUNNAGE (5) proved too strong here last week with a 1.53.6 mile after sitting parked. Moving to the front line further enhances her claims to press forward and take control of this.

 MAGIC MIKI (1)
steps out in Qld for the first time, arriving as a one-win pacer into the Dixon barn. That win was a 3YO victory on debut at Kilmore. With two smart trials against his name, the latest being a solid form reference with four subsequent winners. The gate is a big plus.

 LEOTA (6)
is chasing a hat-trick of wins after cashing in at his past two over the mile and 2138. Taking the trail and finishing over the top to score last start, he can be chiming in again here.

 KASH FUND (3)
resumed from a spell with a smart win and followed that with a narrow 2nd behind LEOTA. Making a late play when midfield last start, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: TILLY DUNNAGE (5), MAGIC MIKI (1), LEOTA (6), KASH FUND (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
TILLY DUNNAGE (5) to win

RACE FIVE

A tricky contest to line up made tougher by some questionable credentials at the middle trip for many of these. ENGLISH DANCE (12) backs up following a last start 3rd in a 947 Trot Rods sprint when under 2m from the winner. Buried after retreating from gate 7 two starts back, he might be the one.

 ROYAL PRINCESS (4)
has a good record at the middle trip and from this gate can be settling near the action. From the trail over this same distance two runs back, she was just a half-neck from the winner and can issue a challenge again in this line up.

 SAINT LOUIS BEAT (1)
has good early speed and secures the mapping options from this gate. Dictating from the front to score at Marburg two starts back, he struck trouble last time out.

 BELMER BETTY (10)
has landed the prize at her past two starts but faces a sterner test here at 2138. Descending on them to score last start at the mile, she can make a late raid.

SELECTIONS: ENGLISH DANCE (12), ROYAL PRINCESS (4), SAINT LOUIS BEAT (1), BELMER BETTY (10)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ENGLISH DANCE (12) win/place

RACE SIX

A PERFECT DANCE (3) is a gate speed mare that has the alley top force the issue in the early stages here. A Redcliffe winner at 2280 three starts back when taking control and leading throughout, second line gates have dented her chances in the past two. This looks within reach.

 OHANA DANCER (9)
tackled a mares B5 event last start where she was sent to the post as fav from gate 4. Securing the 1x1 trail in finishing 4m astern of the winner CHEER LEADER, it followed a luckless effort from inside the second line. Despite the gate, she can challenge.

 MAJORITA JUJON (4)
has been racing in Saturday mare’s grade in recent starts, the latest when 5m from CHEER LEADER. Never far from the action, she an be running on late again here.

 GO THE RED (6)
was sent for a break following a last start 2nd in a B5 contest when finishing 2m from the winner BRONSKI ZULU. A gritty winner at this trip the start prior, he may need the run.

SELECTIONS: A PERFECT DANCE (3), OHANA DANCER (9), MAJORITA JUJON (4), GO THE RED (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:
A PERFECT DANCE (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

A winner here three starts back via the passing lane, EDWARD JAY (6) secured the right trip and burst through to pull clear in the latter stages. Drawn gate 7 in both subsequent starts, he faded after being sent to the breeze last start over 2138. Despite the gate, this looks within reach.

 BAIL DENIED (4)
was 4m from the winner KERBANG in a Trot Rods scamper last time out when trying to make a closing play. A second line gate at 2138 the start prior dented his claims and with the return to the front line at the mile, can throw down the challenge.

 PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (3)
was the runner-up from gate 6 two starts back. That half-head defeat sits alongside three wins in her past four starts, all at Redcliffe. She will look to convert that form to the big deck where she is winless in 13 attempts.

 SPORTY ZARA (9)
has placed at her past two, including a half-neck deficit at this trip last start when probing along the passing lane. With the right trail, she can grab minor money again.

SELECTIONS: EDWARD JAY (6), BAIL DENIED (4), PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (3), SPORTY ZARA (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
EDWARD JAY (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

Runner-up at her last start when trying to take the final shot via the passing lane, LITTLE HOOFANANNY (11) was 2m astern of the winner FRANCO MACHO. Drawn inside the second line at both prior starts, the right cart into this can see her arrive.

 ONE CHAIN ROAD (1)
has been hitting good areas in recent starts with a top three in four of his past five starts. A Trot Rods 947 win three starts back was followed with the silver on this deck at the mile when trying to fend them off. Still hunting his first AP victory, he has the gate to challenge.

 AUNTY FRANCES (4)
has placed at her past two starts, the latest when trailing the leader and finishing 3m astern. With early speed to settle handy, she has podium claims again here.

 LETS GO BAILEY (8)
cashed in last start at the mile when dictating and fending them off to claim a 7m margin. A tricky gate and the rise to 2138 make the chance of repeating is a big ask.

SELECTIONS: LITTLE HOOFANANNY (11), ONE CHAIN ROAD (1), AUNTY FRANCES (4), LETS GO BAILEY (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
LITTLE HOOFANANNY (11) to win
