RACE 1

MISTER DELWIN (3) has good gate speed and should be suited over the shorter course. If he is able to find his way to the lead in the early stages of the race he should be very hard to run down having raced without luck in his recent outings.

DOOO DON’T THINK (1) is rarely too far away in his races but does struggle to win. He should be able to secure a good run leaders back in this race and can be running into it late.

ROSEANNE RUBY (4) has excellent gate speed and may attempt to get across them in the early stages of the race from a somewhat awkward draw. She was able to work across to the lead last start and was just run down late by Majorgeneral Jujon.

GOODTIME CRACKER (5) was luckless last start when forced to the rear of the field from a wide gate behind Royal Winkle. He has had a few runs back from a spell and should be nearing peak fitness.

SELECTIONS: MISTER DELWIN (3), DOOO DON’T THINK (1), ROSEANNE RUBY (4), GOODTIME CRACKER (5)

SUGGESTED BET: MISTER DELWIN (3) to win.

RACE 2

LULU LUCIFER (1) has been racing in good form having run second in her two latest outings at Marburg. She led last time out and was just run down by Saturday Dance who was able to obtain the ideal trip on her back in that race. She should run well again.

MAYWYN TROUBADOUR (6) looks the class runner of the field but does have a wide draw to navigate. He was luckless when caught wide for a significant portion of the race last start when running on strongly into second. He can press forward and race in a prominent position.

MAHINDI (4) sat without cover last start and battled on strongly there to finish third at Shepparton having started from a wide gate. She returns to QLD in this race and should get a reasonable run close enough to the speed over the short course.

TAYLORS FOUR (2) should get a good run close to the speed in this race. She was forced to race without cover last time out and battled on well. She can run well again.

SELECTIONS: LULU LUCIFER (1), MAYWYN TROUBADOUR (6), MAHINDI (4), TAYLORS FOUR (2)

SUGGESTED BET: LULU LUCIFER (1) to win.

RACE 3

EDWARD JAY (5) doesn’t have brilliant gate speed which could prove his undoing in this race. He is a horse capable of sustaining strong sectionals and looks well graded in this race. He should be close to the speed and will be right in the finish.

MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA (6) appears to have class on his side in this field. He secured a good run on the pegs last start and was able to run third in a race dominated by runners on the peg line. He will need luck from the wide draw but does look to have strong claims.

THERESACHANCE (2) got shuffled back last start and was making good ground late into fifth. He has had a fortnight between runs and should be coming into this race fresh. If he can obtain the right run close to the speed he should be thereabouts.

UNCUT GEM (1) is a long way up in grade in this race and looks tested. He has the ideal draw to offset the rise in class and does have some gate speed. He has rough claims.

SELECTIONS: EDWARD JAY (5), MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA (6), THERESACHANCE (2), UNCUT GEM (1)

SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA (6) each way.

RACE 4

LENNY LINCOLN (1) was able to hold the lead last start and was well beaten by Real Tin Tin who sat without cover but the winner did race fast time. He should have the speed to drive through and lead with Nathan Dawson aboard he should take plenty of running down.

BRACKEN WARRIOR (2) has been able to bounce back to some of his better form in recent outings including a good win two starts ago when leading all the way at this track. He appears a horse likely suited to this format of racing.

STILLYOURSHOT (6) was finishing off well last time out in a Trot Rods heat behind series time leader Splash Of Paynt. He is likely to be shuffled back early in this race from a wide draw and will need them to go quick early to bring him into the race.

MITCHELLS RUN (4) has excellent gate speed and should be able to find a prominent position in this race. He was able to bounce back to form last time out when leading all the way at Albion Park.

SELECTIONS: LENNY LINCOLN (1), BRACKEN WARRIOR (2), STILLYOURSHOT (6), MITCHELLS RUN (4)

SUGGESTED BET: LENNY LINCOLN (1) to win.

RACE 5

ROCKSNGEMS (1) has very good gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead this race from the ideal draw. He has been beginning well and running quick first halves before getting tired late this campaign. He looks better suited over the trot rods distance and may be able to bounce back to form.

RACE FOR RICHES (2) should get the perfect run on the leaders back in this race from the ideal draw. He was making up strong ground late in a race taken out by Always Be Chaps at Albion Park last start. He should be hard to beat.

FOFIRE EASTON (5) was running on well behind Always Be Chaps last time out at Albion Park in a race they rated good time for the 2138. He appears suited in this company but does have a wide draw to navigate.

SWEET AGENDA (4) has brilliant gate speed which should see her find a prominent position in this race. She does draw outside of a number of horses with gate speed which may mean her draw is a touch awkward.

SELECTIONS: ROCKSNGEMS (1), RACE FOR RICHES (2), FOFIRE EASTON (5), SWEET AGENDA (4)

SUGGESTED BET: ROCKSNGEMS (1) to win.

RACE 6
MERGE RIGHT (2) has the gate speed necessary to hold the lead in this race from a good draw. She has been in very good form this campaign including a good win three and four starts ago when winning at Redcliffe and Albion Park. She looks hardest to beat in this race.

LULU MAE (6) found the front last time out and was able to score an impressive win rating fast time beating I Of The Hurrikane. She has a wide draw but should be able to press forward and keep the pressure on in this race and should be right there in the finish.

BLACKJACK CRIPPA (3) was able to bounce back to winning form last time out when securing a great run on the pegs and running over the top late to score in fast time for the grade. He doesn’t quite seem to have the same high speed he possessed earlier in his career which could be key to his chances of running on late and may mean he needs a more genuinely run contest.

I OF THE HURRIKANE (4) team Elkins has had a prosperous Trot Rods campaign so far with the few runners they have sent around in it proving too good. This is another horse which appears to bring strong enough form and has good gate speed which is a big help over the short course.

SELECTIONS: MERGE RIGHT (2), LULU MAE (6), BLACKJACK CRIPPA (3), I OF THE HURRIKANE (4)

SUGGESTED BET: MERGE RIGHT (2) to win.

RACE 7

FAKISTRA (2) should have the gate speed to drive through and lead in this race from an ideal draw. He ran a very good race at this track over the 2040 last time out when making up strong ground late. He should be hard to beat.

JEKAMIAS (3) should get an economical run in this race from a good draw. He finished ninth last start but was taking on some good horses there and was forced to race off the pegs in a race the runners able to secure a pegs run dominated.

MISSED CONSEQUENCES (6) was able to run well last start behind Daisy Diana at Albion Park in what may have been a slightly stronger race. She does draw widest this time which on paper could make things tough for her.

MISS FROUFROU (4) was able to run a good second last time out in a trot rods race from the widest draw. She draws better this time and could settle a touch closer in the run. She should be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: FAKISTRA (2), JEKAMIAS (3), MISSED CONSEQUENCES (6), MISS FROUFROU (4)

SUGGESTED BET: JEKAMIAS (3) each way.

Slide8_137.png

RACE 8

MARTIN MAGIC (4) ran a huge race from the stand start last time out burning an incredibly fast middle half and doing well to finish a close up second to Send It. He should be able to get up on speed in this race and should be suited by the short course format.

WELEASE WODDEWICK (3) was luckless last time out when badly checked before making a gallop and was still able to run a competitive race from the breeze. He should be able to find a forward position and will be thereabouts.

I GOT CHILLS (6) hasn’t quite recaptured his best form so far this campaign but seems to be tracking in the right direction having run well last start in fast time for the 2100 metre stand start when finishing just 7 metres from the winner Send It. He draws widest which appears to make it tough but he does have electric gate speed.

ROSTOVA (1) was a touch disappointing last start when finishing a well beaten third after starting favourite. She draws well again in this race and if she can get back to the form which saw her run a good second to Bubba Nay two starts ago she can run well.

SELECTIONS: MARTIN MAGIC (4), WELEASE WODDEWICK (3), I GOT CHILLS (6), ROSTOVA (1)

SUGGESTED BET: MARTIN MAGIC (4) to win.

Slide9_84.png

RACE 9

LOCHINVAR CAMARO (3) secured the ideal run last start behind the speed on the leaders back and was able to sprint clear late to score a big win. He should secure a similar type of run in this race from a good draw and he can look to go back to back.

CANADIAN LASS (2) may have the speed to drive through and lead this race and she has been able to score a number of good wins racing on speed. She has run well in her two latest outings finishing second on both occasions and is likely to get a more favourable run in this race.

FIRE RAISER (6) isn’t a horse blessed with a huge amount of gate speed which could prove key in this race over the short journey. He was able to show enough speed to drive through and stay underneath Strikem leading all the way at Albion Park over the 2138.

HARPERVILLE (5) usually races well when able to find a prominent position up on speed. She was a winner three starts ago racing without cover and proving too good for My Ultimate Victor. She can look to press forward again and should race well.

SELECTIONS: LOCHINVAR CAMARO (3), CANADIAN LASS (2), FIRE RAISER (6), HARPERVILLE (5)

SUGGESTED BET: LOCHINVAR CAMARO (3) to win.

Slide10_26.png

RACE 10

SPLASH OF PAYNT (1) scored an impressive win last time out when sitting without cover and simply proving too good for his rivals there. He should be able to drive through and lead from the good draw in this race and will take plenty of catching.

HES SWEET (3) ran on strongly late last time out in a race taken out by Splash Of Paynt at this track and trip. He should settle close to the speed this time and he should be very dangerous late

MAJORITA JUJON (4) was able to score a strong win last start when securing a good run 1 out 1 back and running over the top late. She should secure a similar type of run in this race and should be thereabouts again.

HOLD ONTO YA BLING (5) has previously taken out a trot rods race on final night and will be looking to do that again in this race. He should get a good run off the speed and if the leaders overdo it he can be running on late.

SELECTIONS: SPLASH OF PAYNT (1), HES SWEET (3), MAJORITA JUJON (4), HOLD ONTO YA BLING (5)

SUGGESTED BET: SPLASH OF PAYNT (1) to win.
