RACE 1

ZORBA DAN (1) showed good gate speed recently at Albion Park to work across and lead running third to Bettor One. He started from an awkward draw last time out and made a break early losing all chance. He should be able to drive through and lead in this race.

JOVIAL JODI (5) is having its first start back from a spell in a new stable joining the stable of Trent Dawson. She ran two third placings in her first racing campaign. She trialled up recently and didn’t have the best of luck when checked at a crucial stage before running through the line quite well late.

MACKENZIE REG (7) trialled up well recently showing gate speed before taking a trail and was shuffled back mid race before running on late. She is out of Dougies Envy who has produced a number of 2YO winners including Carter Grant, Isla and Addie and Our Lucy Lou.

WAVE OF DELIGHT (8) trialled up well recently in what appeared to be a trial with plenty of depth where she was able to run through the line nicely late. She appears to draw well on debut and will have options whether she heads to the pegs or elects to stay in the running line.

SELECTIONS: ZORBA DAN (1), JOVIAL JODI (5), MACKENZIE REG (7), WAVE OF DELIGHT (8)

SUGGESTED BET: MACKENZIE REG (7) each way.

RACE 2

BETTOR BE BOHDI (7) ran a very good race last time out behind Checkingoutthebill and Stunning Stranger at Albion Park. He looks likely to get a good run behind a horse that will be keen to hold a forward position. He should be hard to hold out.

KEAYANG KUANA (9) is having her first start for the stable of Charlie Martin in this race and looks likely to get a good run off the speed from a suitable trailing draw. She ran well enough in a recent trial taken out by a horse that has always shown good ability in Cherries On Top. She can run well first up.

LITTLE WHIPPET (1) showed gate speed last start before handing over and finishing off well late to get into second. He returns to QLD in this race and draws ideally. He can seem to mix his gate speed at times but if he begins well he will have options and should be hard to beat.

DIGBY DEVIL (3) has good gate speed and should be able to position up close in the run. He took on a strong restricted win race last time out which was won by Eternal Bliss in good time. This looks a touch easier.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR BE BOHDI (7), KEAYANG KUANA (9), LITTLE WHIPPET (1), DIGBY DEVIL (3)

SUGGESTED BET: LITTLE WHIPPET (1) to win.

RACE 3

TIGER SHIRL (5) is better than the way she’s been racing in recent outings. She draws the best of the main chances in this race and can look to press forward and find the lead. IF she was able to lead she would take plenty of running down in a race of this nature.

SCHOONERS (9) started first up in QLD for the stable of Alex Johnson last time out and was able to score a quite dominant win when leading all the way. She is likely to have derived benefit from that outing and should run well again in this race.

SON OF DOC (6) has poor numerical form and will definitely need some luck to get into this race from the wide draw. He got a long way back last start and really hit the line powerfully late in a race taken out by Ruby Rhayne Bow. He appears to find a race that’s a touch easier here.

DESIGNER JEWEL (8) was well beaten in a restricted wins race taken out by Eternal Bliss. She should get a reasonable run through and will be running on late if the race is run to suit.

SELECTIONS: TIGER SHIRL (5), SCHOONERS (9), SON OF DOC (6), DESIGNER JEWEL (8)

SUGGESTED BET: TIGER SHIRL (5) to win.

RACE 4

PLANET DOWNS (6) started from an awkward draw last time out at this track and didn’t have the best of luck when getting out late and flashing into second behind Mini Mine Yet. He should be better suited this time from a front row draw and should be able to press forward and race up on speed.

MAJOR ARK (7) returns to QLD for a new stable in the stable of Ben Battle. She was beaten a long way in a recent trial but still rated good time herself and was beaten by a very smart 4YO in Final Deadline who is likely to contest the feature races through the QLD carnival.

BLACK GEMSTONE (9) should get a good run off the speed in this race. She was finally able to break through for another win last time out having been in excellent form leading into that win this whole campaign. She stays in the same grade and should run a competitive race again.

PLAYING FOR KEEPS (3) was well supported in the market last time out starting a clear second favourite to Saychelles before running on well late into third. She is a horse that has a nice turn of speed but cant sustain her sprint meaning she often needs a few things to fall into place in her races.

SELECTIONS: PLANET DOWNS (6), MAJOR ARK (7), BLACK GEMSTONE (9), PLAYING FOR KEEPS (3)

SUGGESTED BET: PLANET DOWNS (6) to win.

RACE 5

SHES MY MISTAKE (6) did things wrong last time out at the start and was left with a big task when left at the rear of the field. She travelled up strongly into the race despite losing all that ground early and was still able to run second to Elka Angel. If she can bring better manners this time she can figure.

OUR LUCY LOU (5) did things wrong early last time out and draws wide as a result of being made ODM. She showed last campaign she is a horse capable of sustaining a run into the race and despite appearing as though she may be shuffled a long way back she can still be running into it well late.

INSIDE MAGIC (9) was completely luckless last time out when getting shuffled back early before running on powerfully late up the inside once finally clear into fourth. His start prior he was forced to race without cover and battled on well to finish midfield. With a touch more luck this time he can figure.

VIENNA OPERA (2) was able to show good gate speed last time out to find the front at Albion Park before being run down late by Call It Bling. She draws well in this race but does draw outside of a horse that has elected to lead in similar company in the fast. If she can lead she can give them something to run down.

SELECTIONS: SHES MY MISTAKE (6), OUR LUCY LOU (5), INSIDE MAGIC (9), VIENNA OPERA (2)

SUGGESTED BET: INSIDE MAGIC (9) each way.

Slide6_161.png

RACE 6

ERASMUS (2) has very good gate speed and may be able to press forward and find the lead in this race. He was left without cover last time out battling on well for third before trialling reasonably behind Beachbabe Crocker. He looks to have strong claims.

ILLBEWATCHING (7) has been getting a touch keen in his races when driven aggressively at the start which has seemingly proved his undoing at recent outings. He may be suited in this race starting from a soft trailing draw inside the back row and can be running on strongly once into the clear.

JILLIBY PANDA (3) sat without cover last time out and was able to run a good third there at Albion Park battling away well. He had been good his start prior finishing third to Good Word That at Marburg.

MOLLIDOR (1) has the good draw but seemingly isn’t quite racing at her best in recent outings. She sat leaders back and was well beaten last time out. This race looks similar and she should secure a good run behind the leader.

SELECTIONS: ERASMUS (2), ILLBEWATCHING (7), JILLIBY PANDA (3), MOLLIDOR (1)

SUGGESTED BET: ERASMUS (2) to win.

RACE 7

PLAYFUL MISS (1) should have the speed to drive through and lead this race in the early stages from an ideal draw. Last time she was able to lead she rated a quick 1.54.3 at Albion Park when beaten by Western Action who had the perfect run on her back. She should be hard to run down.

BEACH MAGIC (9) returns from a spell in this race and draws favourably on the back row where he wont have to do any early work. He was forced to race without cover two starts ago at Albion Park battling on well for fourth over the 2138 behind Gracenava. He can run well if he’s ready to go first up.

THREE MACHS (7) should get a good run through early behind Playful miss who is a gate speed horse. She was a very close up fourth last time out when sustaining a long run three wide around them. She only has a short sharp sprint and should be suited if she gets the leaders back run.

THREE CHORD RIFF (5) secured a good run close to the speed in a race taken out by Royal Winkle last start at Albion Park where she finished third. She may get shuffled back in this race and can be running on late if the race is run to suit.

SELECTIONS: PLAYFUL MISS (1), BEACH MAGIC (9), THREE MACHS (7), THREE CHORD RIFF (5)

SUGGESTED BET: PLAYFUL MISS (1) to win.

RACE 8

SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (2) should have the gate speed to work to the lead in this race from a good draw. He was able to lead last time out over the 2040 and proved too good for Grigora. He looks better suited back to 1780 in this race and he should be hard to run down.

KERBANG (5) was a winner of a trot rods heat two starts ago leading all the way. He should be able to find a forward position in this race and over the shorter course of 1780 this time he should run well.

PRINCE JOY (4) raced outside the leader last time out forging to the lead and just being run down late by Stormtide who was able to secure the perfect run into the race on his back. He may be forced to do the work again and should run another good race.

SO MANY MOMENTS (9) was able to secure the perfect run on the leaders back last time out hitting the line well narrowly missing My Ultimate Victor. She should get a good run off the speed in this race and if the race is run to suit she should be running on late.

SELECTIONS: SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (2), KERBANG (5), PRINCE JOY (4), SO MANY MOMENTS (9)

SUGGESTED BET: SO MANY MOMENTS (9) each way.

Slide9_85.png

RACE 9

LITTLEMICKEY (2) has enough gate speed to get to the early lead before having options from there. He has run well leading and with a trail in the past so could be driven a number of ways. He raced without a lot of luck last time out when held up at a crucial stage.

ROLLYARRRZ (3) was able to work to the lead two starts ago and was just run down late by RIghtyo at this track. He has a good draw again in this race and can look to press forward and race in a prominent position. If he was able to lead he would likely be hard to run down.

CHAMONIX (5) started an early wide run into the race last time out and just came up slightly short behind Just A Cool dude who had a soft run on the leaders back. He looks likely to get shuffled back and can be running on late.

SPORTY ZARA (6) looks to be dropping a touch in class into this race having taken on slightly stronger company at Albion Park in recent outings. She got back last time out and ran on reasonably late into fourth behind Pretty Little Liar at Albion Park.

SELECTIONS: LITTLEMICKEY (2), ROLLYARRRZ (3), CHAMONIX (5), SPORTY ZARA (6)

SUGGESTED BET: CHAMONIX (5) each way.

Slide10_27.png

RACE 10

TOMMY BLIGH (5) was able to lead last time out over the 1780 at this track and scored a dominant win. He should be able to get forward again in this race and if he was able to find the front he would likely be very hard to run down.

DIPPED IN SILVER (10) should get a good run off the speed which is seemingly how he does his best racing when sat up and saved for one run. There looks to be plenty of speed on early in this race which should bring him into it.

EMMALEEN (6) seems to do her best racing over the 1780 at this track but has run some good races in the past over 2040. She got shuffled back last time out and was running on well late into third. She is likely to get back again from the wide draw and will need the speed on early to bring her into the race.

OYSTER STRIDE (3) has good gate speed and should be able to find a prominent position early. He seems to do his best racing at this track and should appreciate the switch back to Redcliffe from Albion Park and he finished seventh behind Uncut Gem last time out. s

SELECTIONS: TOMMY BLIGH (5), DIPPED IN SILVER (10), EMMALEEN (6), OYSTER STRIDE (3)

SUGGESTED BET: DIPPED IN SILVER (10) each way.
