Form Analysis: Redcliffe May 3

RACE 1 

SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (5) led last start at Redcliffe kicked right away but was nabbed on the line by Major Lincoln. He draws wide this time and can work forward and race up on speed again in what looks a weaker race. 

DOOO DONT THINK (9) has been racing well and lands in the right type of grade. He hit the line strongly behind Captain Foxtrot after securing a good run on the pegs. 

ERASMUS (4) has been a recent improver running good races his last two outings. He secured a good run off the speed last start at this track and was running on strongly late. He has excellent gate speed and if he could lead this race he would take plenty of running down.

JIMMY JOYCE (3) has good gate speed and draws inside a number of his key rivals in this race. He should be able to press forward and has options from there.

RACE 2 

VODKA EN ICE (9) was forced back to the rear of the field last time out when draws wide at this track. He usually does his best racing when up on speed and could find that position in this race. He looks hard to beat. 

MALIBU DREAM (8) secured a good run close to the speed last start at Marburg and wasn’t beaten far by Saint Louis Beat who has since won. She should be close enough and can be running on late. 

EBONY BELLE (5) draws wide in this race and usually does her best racing when able to find a position on speed. She trialled up reasonably behind much higher assessed Kuzma. Can figure with the right run. 

MAGIC NITRO (1) led last start at this track and wasn’t beaten far in fourth behind Rosarito who was able to secure the perfect run leaders back. She draws well again and should have options early.

SUGGESTED BET: MALIBU DREAM (8) to win. 

RACE 3

THE TIGER ARMY (2) trialled up sharply recently at Redcliffe rating good time when beating Kuzma. He has just been in moderate form prior to his recent trials but may have turned a corner and from a good draw he should be hard to beat in this race. 

IDEAL ASSASSIN (5) secured the right run last time out at this track and finished second to Canadian Lass there who was able to zip home a very fast last half for the grade. She draws wide this time but has plenty of speed and could get forward early or be driven for one run at them late. 

NAUTIE GALVINATOR (1) comes into this race first up from a spell and draws ideally in gate 1. He has good gate speed and should be able to lead before having options from there. If he is ready to go first up he can run well. 

COSMIC FLYER (6) was first up last start when finishing fourth at Albion Park after securing a good run on the fence. He is likely to have derived good benefit from that outing and should run well in this race despite the poor draw.

RACE 4 

THREENTWO (2) has good gate speed and may look to press forward and lead this race early. She was a winner four starts ago at Albion Park when sitting without cover and proving too good. She was forced to sit without cover last time out and battled on well there to not be beaten too far. 

THATS OUR BOY (5) ran on strongly last start at this track and was just beaten by Shes My Mistake who had tracked him into the race. He was a winner three starts ago when getting back in the run and finishing best to get over the top to score. He should run well again.

BLING THE NOISE (4) was able to hold the lead recently at Marburg and scored a huge win there dashing home nice sectionals. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and will be running on late again. 

PADDYS DIAMOND (7) is racing better than his numerical form suggests. He led two starts ago and was beaten by a smart horse in Miki Moo who looks likely to win plenty of races in her career. He seems to have some speed and should be thereabouts in this race.

RACE 5

ROCKSNGEMS (4) led and set a frantic tempo through the early part of the race last time out rating a 55.1 second first half there. He battled on quite well there not to be beaten further by Amami who secured a good run off the speed. If he can lead this race he would be hard to beat.

MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (3) sat without cover last start in a race dominated by runners on the pegs. He ran well three starts ago finishing third behind Tyson who is a horse that looks destined to win a number of metro races. He should be close enough in the run and can run well. 

BETTOR CHEER (1) hasn’t seemingly been best served by gate 1 in the past having made a mistake last time he drew gate 1. He is a horse that seems to do his best work out in front and will be doing his best to hold the lead early in this race. 

RIBEIRO (5) secured a good run on the leaders back at Redcliffe following Miss Froufrou and he ran well but just couldn’t quite get into the placings there finishing fourth. He draws wider this time and will need to do work at some stage or may get a long way back in the run.

RACE 6 

THREEFIVEONE (1) has good gate speed and should be able to lead this race from the good draw. She has shown good ability in the past when able to lead. She comes into this race first up from a spell which does look a query. 

ALLSHECANBE (4) raced without cover last start and wasn’t beaten far there by Wee Bonnie at Marburg. She is likely to secure a similar type of run in this race and she should be hard to beat with a repeat of her latest effort. 

ASCOT SHOWGIRL (5) took on much stronger company last start in a race taken out by Leota where she raced off the pegs and was beaten a long way. She is likely to appreciate the drop in grade in this race and should run a better race second up for her new trainer. 

MY PRECIOUS BLING (6) comes into this race first up from a spell and is having her first start for new trainer Anthony Gorman. She seems to have some ability and could surprise at odds.
