Form Analysis: Redcliffe May 6

RACE 1 

KERBANG (1) has good gate speed and should be able to lead this race in the early stages. He attempted to find the top last time out and just couldn’t get past Chamonix who was able to drive through and lead. Given the work he did early and the fact he was left off the pegs he ran a good race. 

BAIL DENIED (3) got back in the run last time out in a race taken out by Take A Chance at Albion Park. He should get a good run close enough to them in this race. He has high speed and might be suited to the short course format in this race. 

LENNY LINCOLN (2) has options in this race whether he ducks to the leaders back potentially or stays in the running line. He ran a good race last time out at this track behind Pretty Little Liar. He can go close. 

BOSTON BRONSKI (5) burned to the lead two starts ago and was well beaten by Edward Jay. She should be able to find a prominent position again up on speed and can run well.

RACE 2 

REAL TIN TIN (1) has excellent gate speed and should be able to lead in this race from an ideal draw. I believe he is a horse best served when not burned off the gate early but over the Trot Rods distance he can likely burn early and still be able to finish the race off. He put in a much better run last time out when sat up off the speed before running on well late into second behind War Club. 

BONNIES CAM (2) went around in a heat of the Trot Rods last week when finishing third behind Warrawee Flyer. He did a lot of work in that race and was left without cover there for the duration of the race. He should be able to duck in behind the leader in this race and from there can be very dangerous late. 

CHAMONIX (3) was able to lead for the first time in nearly 2 years last start and ran well there when finishing second. He should settle close to the speed and if the leaders overdo it he can be running on late. 

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (5) put in a great run last start when leading all the way and rating good time over the 2040 turning the tables on Harperville who was able to beat him his start prior. He steps right back in trip and will likely look to find a prominent position in this race.

RACE 3

STILLYOURSHOT (1) has poor numerical form but has been racing in strong company and hasn’t had a great deal of luck in his races. He was caught wide early last time out before being restrained into a position 3 back on the pegs and he just didn’t quite finish it off in a race taken out by Edward Jay. This appears a good opportunity for him to bounce back.

GLENLEDI BOY (7) should get a good run through on the back of a gate speed in Stillyourshot. He was luckless two starts ago when shuffled a long way back at this track before running on strongly late. He should be running on again.

WINDY HILL WALLY (2) loves racing at the middle distance and draws favourably in this race to secure a good run.

MERRY JEWEL (3) did plenty of work in a race taken out by Ratatattat last start at this track. She can bounce back in this race from a good draw.

RACE 4 

JUST A COOL DUDE (6) has raced without luck and made errors in recent outings which has seen him well beaten. He has been racing in much stronger company and this looks a big step back in grade. His latest win came five starts ago when beating the higher assessed Franco Macho and Vincent Time at Albion Park. 

RIGHTYO (7) secured the ideal run recently behind Rollyarrz and was able to prove a touch too good there when using the sprint lane to score three starts ago. His latest outing he was forced to do a lot of work which isn’t something he is generally suited to. He should get every chance. 

CAPTAIN FOXTROT (2) moves to the inside draw in this race as a result of Ashlee Nitro being made ODM for making a recent early error. He has the speed to lead in this race and with the stablemate drawn to follow him through he may elect to hold the lead. He should run well. 

WAR CLUB (8) was able to find the front recently over the 2040 and was really able to control things out in front making it a dash home scoring over Real Tin Tin. He is usually well suited when saved up for one run at them late and should run well despite the back row draw in this race.

RACE 5

ILLBEWATCHING (1) was left without cover last start and over raced badly outside the leader battling on quite well to finish fifth under the circumstances. He looks to get an easy lead in this race and if he can settle over the 2040 journey he should be quite hard to run down in this company. 

GRIGORA (7) should get a good run through on the back of gate speed horse Illbewatching. He hasn’t quite been at his best in recent outings including a recent race where he nabbed a great run on the back of Smirks Like a Boss leaders back and just wasn’t able to finish it off.

LAST CALL (9) was luckless last start when leading before being challenged through the middle of the race by a horse that went on to finish a distant last. She has been racing well and is usually well suited coming with one run off the speed. She should be hard to beat again. 

MAJOR LINCOLN (6) has been in excellent form and is aiming for 3 consecutive wins in this race having won his two latest outings at this track. He looked an unlikely winner with 250 to go last time out when Smirks Lika Boss zipped right away but was able to dig deep and nab him right on the line. He should run well again despite the poor draw.

RACE 6 

WICKED SUSAN (7) has been excellent time this time in. Her effort last start when finishing third to Duke Of Argyll was particularly good when really flashing to the line late into third. She should secure a good run and will be hard to hold out late. 

UCANCALLME AL (4) secured the perfect run last start on the leaders back and just couldn’t quite reel in the winner Im Busted. He appears to draw awkwardly in this race and may need to do work at some stage or could be shuffled a long way back.

ROBIN JUJON (5) returns in this race having impressed last time in. His latest race start he finished second to smart filly Call Kelly beating his other stablemate My Ultimate Zander who finished third. He should run well. 

WINDY HILL WHISKEY (1) this mare has been taking on some really strong restricted win races at Albion Park and has been racing competitively. She raced off the fence last start at Albion Park over the 2138 and was competitive despite not having a huge amount of luck in a race taken out by The Lady Dior. She should run a good race.

RACE 7

ELKA ANGEL (2) she was forced to race without cover last time out at this track. She battled on well to finish third behind Wilpeka. She looks to have found a race she might be able to work to the lead and if she can lead she should be hard to beat. 

MACH ATTACK (7) has been placed in each of his three runs back from a spell. He ran on strongly last time out at Albion Park behind Chinchaga Blaze. He should be close enough in the run and can go close with luck at the right time.

RAINBOW FEELINGS (1) is first up in the state of QLD having had two starts in NSW for a third and a win. She showed gate speed last start before taking a trail and may look to adopt similar tactics in this race. 

PERFECT LOU (8) sat outside the leader two starts ago when pulling hard and being well beaten as a result. He ran a much better race last start when sitting off the speed and not being beaten too far in a race taken out by Denis The Punter.

RACE 8

XTRAVAGANT MAN (7) trialled up smartly recently winning a recent trial with authority at Newcastle albeit in just moderate time for that track. He seems to have good speed and just struggles to finish off his races at times. He should be suited by the soft trailing draw in this race. 

AWHOLELOTTAHAPPY (1) trialled up nicely hitting the line well late to make up good ground. She ran a number of good races last time in showing good ability including a second to French Bubbles at Albion Park.

BROADWAY BEAUTY (6) has just moderate numerical form on paper but raced in strong company her first two starts before running on strongly at Marburg into a midfield position. Having her fourth career start she appears ready to run a big race.

PATORI (3) trialled up reasonably behind the very smart Soul Hunter at Albion Park. She is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from that outing and is well bred.
