Form Analysis: Redcliffe May 8

RACE 1 

DRAGON (7) looks likely to secure an ideal run on the back of a gate speed horse in this race in Rocksngems. He ran a good second two starts ago behind Amami who was able to come from off the speed and win in fast time at Albion Park. He got back last start and couldn’t get into it in a stronger race. He looks hard to beat.

RIBEIRO (8) had very little luck last time out at this track when caught without cover in a quickly run race but was still able to dig deep and nab stablemate Pretty Little Liar right on the line. He meets a similar lineup in this race and should be hard to beat again. 

ROCKSNGEMS (1) has excellent gate speed but has had issues settling in his races in recent outings. He led two starts ago setting a frantic 55.1 first half which is absolutely flying before understandably fading late. He zipped across again last start and just over raced badly again fading into fourth late. If he can settle this time he can win.

CRUSADER MISS (9) has poor numerical form but is seemingly racing better than her numerical form suggests. She drew poorly and was shuffled back last start at Albion Park in a race taken out by Shes Crystal. She should run a better race.

RACE 2 

PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (2) has good gate speed and should be able to work to the lead in this race. She put in a very good run last time out to finish second to stablemate Ribeiro after sweeping to the lead and just being run down late. This looks easier and she should be hard to beat. 

BETTYS GOLD CLASS (1) has very good gate speed giving her options in this race. She is likely better suited with a sit over the 2040 at this stage in her career. She was well beaten in a Trot Rods heat last time out after not having the greatest run in the race. 

LOCHINVAR JEWELL (7) put in a very good run first up at this track when burning to lead before being left without cover and battling on well for third behind Precious Kate. She couldn’t back that effort up last time out in a heat of the trot rods when leading and fading out of it late as favourite. She can bounce back from a favourable trailing draw. 

FAKISTRA (10) appears well graded in this race having taken on stronger company in some of his recent outings. He secured a good run on the pegs last time out at this track and was just left a little too far off them to figure late.

RACE 3

GOOD WORD THAT (1) showed enough gate speed to drive through and lead last time out at Marburg when able to hold out Copy Writer to score. He rated solid closing sectionals there and a similar effort should see him hard to beat in this race. 

SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (2) raced without luck last start when forced to do plenty of work in a race the horses which filled the quinella both came from off the speed in Sunny Cove and Dooo Don’t Think. He should secure a more economical run this time and can bounce back.

CONNIES SPIRIT (4) has excellent gate speed and has been able to cross Good Word That in the past and may look to do the same again. She ran well last start running into third in a race taken out by Tracer Bullet. 

EMMALEEN (9) was well beaten last start in a race that wasn’t run to suit at this track taken out by Sports Bounty over Prince Joy. She should get a good run off the speed and can be running on late.

RACE 4 

SAINT LOUIS BEAT (9) was able to return from a spell leading and winning at Marburg beating Aunty Frances. He then took on a much stronger field and wasn’t beaten too far racing off the pegs. He finds a more suitable race this time and should run well.

JUKEBOX JET (4) appeared to take on a stronger race last time out at this track when beaten by Sports Bounty and Prince Joy. He didn’t have the best of luck in the run and was only able to force into the clear late in the race before running on well.

PERFECT FEELING (8) took on a heat of the trot rods recently where he was crossed early which seemingly was the end of his chances. He had been in good form prior to that having score back to back wins three and four starts ago when leading all the way both times. 

LULU LUCIFER (5) has been racing in good form and continued that run of form last time out when leading and being run down right on the line by Saturday Dance. She may get shuffled back this time and can be running on late.

RACE 5

KEAYANG TARA (4) was only able to force into the clear very late two starts ago when flashing into second behind Shes Bewitched at Marburg. She appears very well graded in a race of this nature and should be running on strongly again.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (10) didn’t have much luck last time out when getting back in the run in a race taken out by Shes Bewtiched when he was only able to get clear late to run into third. He usually does his best work when saved up for one run late which he should get the opportunity to do in this race. 

ROYAL WINKLE (9) ran well last start when leading before eventually handing over to Gracenava and running a close up second. He has a back line draw this time but meets a similar level of race and should be competitive again. 

BETTING BARON (3) has good early speed and will likely press forward to race in a prominent position. He led recently at this track and trip and was just run down late by Tracer Bullet who had the perfect run on his back.

RACE 6 

ETERNAL BLISS (8) was well beaten in a race taken out by Shankys Shot last time out. She should find this a lot easier and looks more suited to the 1780 journey at this track. She follows out a horse likely to be keen to hold a forward position and should be close enough.

OUR LUCY LOU (2) ran well last start in a race taken out by Jeffcoate. Her latest win came at this track when beating Rightyo running on strongly out wide on the track. She can look to do similar again. 

DESIGNER JEWEL (4) has good early speed and should be able to find a prominent position in this race. She raced behind the leader two starts ago and was able to prove too good sprinting home best. 

FOURTY ONE GEE (6) did some early work last time out before obtaining a trail and just couldn’t quite reel in Uncut Gem late. He draws wide this time and may need to do some work in this race.

RACE 7

VICTREE ATOM (10) raced without cover last time out in a race taken out by Denis The Punter where he finished second last but wasn’t beaten far. He finds a much weaker race and could be able to control things through the middle of the race outside the leader again.. He should be hard to beat. 

PLAYING FOR KEEPS (6) put in a much better run last start when sweeping up to the leaders before just getting a touch tired late running third. She only has a short sprint but if the race is run to suit she should be in the finish again.

WECANONLYDREAM (7) looks to draw poorly inside the back row in this race behind a horse unlikely to be fancied. Ran on well into fourth behind Black Gemstone. 

KINGSBURY (5) ran on strongly late into second behind Rainbow Gambler two starts ago at Marburg. He may be shuffled back in this race from a wide draw and should be running on again.

RACE 8

ELKA ANGEL (1) has good gate speed and should be able to lead. She was able to lead in her latest outing and proved too good for Mack Attack over the 2040. She looks a good chance of going back to back.

WILPEKA (7) was able to hold the lead from gate 1 recently at this track proving too good for Piccolo Diavolo and Elka Angel. She looks likely to get the perfect run through on the back of Elka Angel and should be hard to hold out late. 

SHES MY MISTAKE (8) was able to secure a good run off the speed two starts ago and proved too good running over the top late. She should secure a good run off the speed again in this race and can be running on late. 

KING BLING (5) secured an economical run two starts ago this track and was able to run over the top late to score beating Eternal Bliss. He wasn’t suited last start getting back off a moderate tempo but was still able to get within 2 metres of the winner Uncut Gem.
