Sunshine Coast Turf Club meeting update - May 17

Racing Queensland confirms that a back-up race meeting has been programmed for the Polytrack at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club on Sunday, May 17, in the event the club’s race meeting on its course proper on the day is unable to proceed.  

In the event the course proper to become unsuitable for racing, a back-up meeting on the Polytrack will be introduced. This transfer, if required, would need to take place prior to scratching time, Sunday, May 17.  

Trainers should note that should the back-up meeting not be required then it will be deleted and there will be no fees applicable for any nominations/acceptances. The back-up race meeting’s program is:

• Benchmark 75 Handicap (1100m) $28,000;
• Class 3 Handicap (1600m) $28,000;
• Benchmark 65 Handicap (1000m) $28,000;
• Benchmark 58 Handicap (1400m) $28,000;
• Class 1 & Maiden Plate (3YO & upwards) (2000m) $28,000;
• Ratings Band 0 -58 Handicap (1100m) $28,000;
• Maiden Plate (Set Weights) (1400m) $30,000; and
• Maiden Plate (Set Weights) (1000m) $30,000 (QTIS for 2 & 3YO).

Deadlines for the meeting are as follows:

• Nominations: Wednesday, 4pm;
• Acceptances: Thursday, 12.30pm; and
• Jockeys: Thursday, 2pm.
