Form Analysis: Albion Park June 23

23 June 2026

RACE ONE

HAVTIMEMAJOR (5) is an Art Major sired debutant from the Turpin stable. An impressive performance was delivered by the gelding in a recent qualifying trial that suggests he possesses more than average ability. Despite the gate he can strike first up.

 SIMPLY INSPIRING (1)
made her debut last start when eased down the fence as they race in single file in the early stages. Hitting the line in sound order to be 5m astern of the winner, the added experience and benefit of this gate assist her challenging chances here.

 ILLBERIDINGSHOTGUN (6)
has been runner-up in both career starts to date. The first was from the trail when tacking a mixed age event and then last week from the front against 2YO company.

FIT AND READY (3) stays under notice as a Bettors Delight daughter of Fire One, making her a sibling of two G1 winners.

SELECTIONS: HAVTIMEMAJOR (5), SIMPLY INSPIRING (1), ILLBERIDINGSHOTGUN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: HAVTIMEMAJOR (5) to win

RACE TWO

Runner-up at the mobile 2138 two starts back, NELLIE JOY (4) pressed forward early before taking cover and running the winner IKIGAI to a 4m margin. Backing up from Saturday night’s Redcliffe Cup where she was exposed early, these are the right conditions to bounce back.

 PIZZA PRINCE (2)
has the early speed off the arm to find a forward position here and usually is consistent under these conditions. Leading up before taking cover last start and shuffled back, three starts back he was just a half-head away after setting the speed. He can challenge.

 CALL ME TROUBLE (7)
made an error last start which made it a tougher assignment when fading late. Runner-up two starts back after a tough trip, he can be making a podium play here.

 DARCYS FIREBALL (3)
also backs up from the Redcliffe Cup where he found the poles and was making a late play to grab the bronze behind HIDE AND SEEK. He has claims in this contest.

SELECTIONS: NELLIE JOY (4), PIZZA PRINCE (20, CALL ME TROUBLE (7), DARCYS FIREBALL (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
NELLIE JOY (4) to win

RACE THREE

ICONIC IMAGE (1) is a 3YO that will step up against the older performers here but gains the all-important 20m advantage. Tackling a mobile 2138 event last start against his own age, he set the early speed before fading as FREDIDRIVSAMERCURY kicked away. Conditions here appeal.

 LIZZIES SON (4)
has been runner-up in two runs back from a spell with both outings from behind the start car. Making a late play when 2m from CASCATA first up, he was best of the chasers second up behind SQUAMISH. With the right trip he can issue the challenge.

 VOLTAIN (5)
overcame a 10m impost here two starts back when finishing strongly to gain the verdict. Chasing home from a midfield position last start, she can feature again here.

 IGNITE (7)
has had a consistent season, hitting the board in 11 of 19 appearances. Finishing 4m from the winner CASCATA last start, limiting the early burn to make ground will aid his claims.

SELECTIONS: ICONIC IMAGE (1), LIZZIES SON (4), VOLTAIN (5), IGNITE (7)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ICONIC IMAGE (1) to win

RACE FOUR

A return to mobile conditions from a good alley can be the catalyst for OUR SUNSET DELIGHT (1) to find a return to winning form. From seven starts for the season, he has tackled the stand start on four occasions and his past two mobile starts have been from the second line. Strong to the line last start, he finds the right set up.

 CLASSIE WASHINGTON (7)
will be second up from 12 moths off and should appreciate this grade of contest. Tackling a strong Saturday night event when resuming, he was shuffled back from the inside gate to finish midfield as MINOS proved too sharp. Despite the wide gate, he can issue the challenge.

 CHARGE AHEAD (5)
eased for position last start and was unable to get warm over the closing stages as XPRESS PARTY saw them off. Limiting the early burn can see him feature.

 AMAMI (2)
will have early options here to find the right trip. Unable to match it with MINOS last start, two back he hit the line strongly for 3rd and is a podium hope here.

SELECTIONS: OUR SUNSET DELIGHT (1), CLASSIE WASHINGTON (7), CHARGE AHEAD (5), AMAMI (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:
OUR SUNSET DELIGHT (1) to win

RACE FIVE

Delivering an eye-catching finish when returning from a spell, POCKET BOOK (6) was eased off this same gate before charging late to finish 4m from the winner. With the added benefit from that return, the gate is not ideal but finds a similar line up and might just hold the winning ticket.

 JAY TEE TYRON (3)
should take further benefit from his latest outing where he was third up this campaign. Eased into the running line from gate 5, he was making a late raid to grab the silver 3m from the winner WESTERN ACTION. Back to the mile is in his favour.

 BLUE BLOODZ (2)
should appreciate a return to the mile from this gate following a tidy 3rd last start at 2138. 3rd over this trip three starts back, he can be close enough to feature.

 GABBYS SPORTSSTAR (10)
makes a return to Qld for the visiting Hurst stable and arrives with two Newcastle placings from his past two starts. With the right trip, he can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: POCKET BOOK (6), JAY TEE TYRON (3), BLUE BLOODZ (2), GABBYS SPORTSSTAR (10)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Another vent contest to assess with the 2138 also the added factor. WESTERN ACTION (8) overcame a wide second line gate over this same trip last week, arriving in the closing strides to take a 3m margin. Runner-up the start prior along the passing lane, he will be stalking here.

 ASCOT SHOWTIME (2)
forced the issue in a similar contest here four runs back and finding the front was able to fend off the challengers and pull clear late to take a 10m margin. Unplaced in all three since, she finds the gate and conditions to bounce back and issue the challenge.

 ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (1)
will be further tightened from her latest effort when only a half-head from the winner at Redcliffe. Third up in that event, she has the options from the gate to feature.

 LUKA DONCIC (7)
faces a tough ask from this gate after three runs back from a spell. Working home strongly last start when just a half-neck away, he can make a closing raid again here.

SELECTIONS: WESTERN ACTION (8), ASCOT SHOWTIME (2), ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (1), LUKA DONCIC (7)

RACE SEVEN

A member of the strong Grimson team that has descended on The Creek for the Carnival, ZEUS LIGHTNING (3) brings some impressive form lines. A NSW Derby heat winner in slick time from the front, he was 4th in the Final behind the jet HOLLYWOOD STRIP. There could be bigger targets over the coming weeks for this quality 3YO.

 UNCLE TONY (2)
found ideal conditions last start to claim a deserved win after some tough performances that had not delivered the reward. Eased away from the poles as the lone second line runner, he worked to the front and held on to score. The improved gate aids his claims.

 COSMIC FLYER (9)
was strong to the line in the consolation of the Redcliffe Cup on Saturday night after being buried in the run. Just a head away two starts back behind XPRESS PARTY, he can be chiming in here.

 HAPPY AS CAN BE (11)
was issuing the closing challenge two starts back and went within a blister of victory. Searching for space last start, he can be trying to make a late play.

SELECTIONS: ZEUS LIGHTNING (3), UNCLE TONY (2), COSMIC FLYER (9), HAPPY AS CAN BE (11)
 SUGGESTED BET:
Exotics 3 / 2-9-11 / 1-2-9-11

RACE EIGHT

After finishing runner-up in both starts since returning from two years off the scene, OHOKA DREAM (8) finds the right conditions to claim the breakthrough. Leading until deep stretch last start when nailed in the closing strides by the talented ALWAYS B COOL, he has second line options and can cash in here.

 INTERPRETATION (7)
makes her first appearance in Qld for the visiting French team. Second line barriers have stung at her past two and the outside front not making it much easier for this assignment. Grabbing the bronze at Bendigo two starts back, she can defy the gate.

 ALTA SENSATION (1)
took an early shot for the front here last week but was repelled and then forced to sit parked. Fading late as UNCLE TONY saw them off, the gate will suit here.

 MAHINDI (4)
has hit the board in six on the bounce which includes a hat-trick of victories. Only an eyelash short of another win here last week, she can settle close enough to feature again.

SELECTIONS: OHOKA DREAM (8), INTERPRETATION (7), ALTA SENSATION (1), MAHINDI (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
OHOKA DREAM (8) to win
