Form Analysis: Redcliffe June 20

RACE 1 

ALWAYS DANCING (2) has the speed to hold the advantage on her main rivals in this race and should be able to force her way to the lead. She was excellent two starts ago when finishing close up behind My Ultimate Flynn after sitting without cover and backed that up with another good effort last time out when finishing third behind Final Deadline.

JUNGLE DRAGON (6) was forced to do the work outside the leader last time out at Albion Park when sitting outside of a very smart 4YO in Final Deadline. Despite finishing sixth he ran a good race given the work he was forced to do and the face mile rate the winner rated. If he can secure the right run from a poor draw he can bounce back.

BETTORLIGHTEM UP (3) was crossed in the early stages last start by Martin Magic over the 2138 and was just able to get clear and nab Smarter Than You on the line. He looks set for a tougher trip this time drawn a touch awkwardly and may need to go better than his latest effort at Albion Park to score. 

OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (9) sat off the speed three starts ago and was too good for them running over the top late at Albion Park. He should get a similar type of run in this race and will be hoping for a genuine early tempo.

RACE 2 

SURREAL MORAN (1) was first up in QLD last time out when sitting without cover and proving too good for Aardies A star. He is likely to have derived a lot of benefit from that outing and should be able to work through and lead. He should be very hard to beat. 

FITZROY (5) goes back to racing his own age group in this race having taken on some smart 4YOs last time out at Albion Park in Always B Cool, Ohoka Dream and Magic Miki. He draws awkwardly in this race wide on the front row but should be running on late if the race is run to suit. 

KASH FUND (2) found the front last time and was able to score a dominant win leading all the way at Albion Park rating good time. He steps up in grade into this race and may not be able to lead which could make things tougher. He should secure a good run and still looks to have strong claims.

CALL IT BLING (10) flashed home two starts ago at Albion Park behind Timmytwo to run third beating home the favourite in that race Nitrator. He is likely to get back in the run off a poor draw and can be running on late if the race is run to suit.

RACE 3

GREASED LIGHTNIN (4) is a smart kiwi that raced in strong company in NZ and boasts an impressive record having won 9 of his 21 starts amassing $211,000 in prizemoney so far. He scored a very impressive win last time out from the stand start when sitting without cover and proving too good for Manila Playboy running home a slick 26.8 quarter. He looks the one to beat. 

DRAGON (3) made a break at the start last time out but was able to get into a pace quickly enough securing a good run before running into third behind stablemate Greased Lightnin. He looks suited off a favourable handicap and should run well again. 

COSMIC FLYER (2) ran a very good race last time out at Albion Park when finishing second to Xpress Party. He looks well suited off the front in this stand start but has made mistakes early in a few of his previous stand starts. With a safe getaway he can figure. 

JIMARTEE (12) cops a 20 metre handicap in this race but is a very classy horse at his best and should find this considerably easier than some of his latest outings. He finished 13^th in the Flashing Red but wasn’t beaten far and could figure in the placings in this race with luck in running.

RACE 4 

NELLIE JOY (6) appears to be well handicapped in this race coming off the front. She ran well behind Ikigai her stablemate which is a trotter heading towards the Inter Dominion. If she can step safely and find a prominent position she should be very hard to beat with the significant handicap advantage. 

KODA DA MODA (4) was able to step to the front two starts ago over the 2138 at Albion Park and was run down in what became a dash home in the small field. She is likely to be better suited in a bigger field if she could find a prominent position and has previously run well over the 2600. She can run a good race. 

HIDE AND SEEK (13) is usually a quick beginner from the stand starts. He has a reputation for doing a few things wrong at times but has been good in recent outings. He ran well in a recent trial behind pacer Pure Grunt and should be ready to run a good race if he does everything right. 

GOLDEN SUNSET (11) looks to face a tough task starting off a 30 metre handicap in this race giving some capable horses a big head start. She was suited racing in a small field last time out at Albion Park when winning off 30 metres and may face a tougher task in a bigger field around the tight circuit at Redcliffe.

RACE 5

ALWAYSBJOY (10) scored a very impressive win last time out against the boys after securing a soft run on the back of Fire And Passion she was able to sprint best to score up the sprint lane beating Fire And Passion and Yottie. She draws poorly in this race and may be forced to work at some stage. 

RIPPLES (9) ran well to finish second to Willows Girl three starts ago at Menangle rating a very fast 1.50.9. She has since made a trip to NZ and was well beaten there. Her best efforts are certainly good enough to be very hard to beat in a race of this nature despite a poor draw. She should be right in the finish. 

PERFECTDELIGHT (2) has the draw advantage on her main rivals in this race and should be able to drive through and lead in the early stages. She was a winner last time out when coming from off the speed to prove too good for Alwaysbgood who has since won impressively at Menangle.

SWIFT CODE (1) has the perfect draw in this race and should be able to secure a very economical run just behind the speed having gained a start as the emergency in the race. She is aiming for a hat-trick of wins and despite the step up in grade looks to get every chance.

RACE 6 

BEROCCA BERNIE (2) has good early speed and appears the leader in this race from a good draw. He ran very well last time out in a race the winner James Alfred rated fast time to finish third after sitting outside the leader. He should be hard to run down.

FIRE AND PASSION (4) had a great battle with Yottie last time out over the 1660 at Albion Park and was just able to hold him out late but was beaten by Alwaysbjoy who had the soft run on his back. He may be forced to work at some stage but is classy and should still be capable of winning with the right run. 

MOVE IT LOU (6) has scored a hat-trick of wins in recent outings and comes into this race in peak form. He was given a recent trial to familiarise himself with the track at Redcliffe and did make a break mid race which appears a query leading into this race. 

IDEAL BRONSKI (5) went roughly early last time out which saw him shuffled to the rear of the field and left with a big task to pick up the class horses who were right up on the speed. Despite being shuffled back he ran an excellent race and was beaten just 4.3 metres when running fourth. He is a knockout hope with the right run.

RACE 7

COOL AND CLASSY (1) started first up from a spell last time out at Albion Park in a strong race which was taken out by Final Deadline where she was shuffled back to last from a wide gate and ran through the line well late. She is likely to have derived good benefit from the outing and draws to get all the favours in this race. She should be very hard to beat. 

PLATINUM JEWEL (7) should get a good run through on the back of the likely short priced favourite Cool And Classy. She has been racing in good form running a very good race two starts ago for third. She was well beaten last start after racing without cover in a race won by The Vicar Of Dibley. She can bounce back. 

RUBY RULES (3) is one of the class runners in this field and draws reasonably well. Ran a very good race in fast time two starts ago behind a smart mare in Bigtime Sally who rated 1.50.6. She should be able to work up outside the leader and can be rated to finish in the minor placings from there. 

CHANGE TACT (8) looked a good thing beaten last time out at Albion Park when charging up in behind them with nowhere to go through the concluding stages in a race taken out by Tenaciously.

SUGGESTED BET: PLATINUM JEWEL (7) to place. 

RACE 8

FINAL DEADLINE (9) is a very smart, progress 4YO that was able to score a dominant win last time out at Albion Park easily beating Always Be Chaps. That came on the back of a dominant first up win rating a brilliant 1.54.3 over the 2138 stand start at Albion Park. If he can find a prominent position early he should be very hard to beat. 

PICCADILLY PETE (4) didn’t quite nail the start last time out in the Flashing Red at Albion Park which may have proved costly given the beaten margin late. He was excellent to run home a very slick last half and just miss nabbing Regazzo Di Tilly late. With a safe getaway he should be very hard to beat. 

MANILA PLAYBOY (11) has seemingly been able to recapture some of his best form this preparation. He was beaten last time out but was able to run a very fast last half when chasing Greased Lightnin. He appears well handicapped in this race coming off just 10 metres. 

PATH TO GREATNESS (2) comes into this race third up from a spell and is likely to have derived good benefit from his two outings so far this campaign. He appeared to be slightly impeded by the horse drawn to his inside in the Flashing Red which saw him get away slowly. He ran a very good race for third after sitting without cover.

RACE 9

SMARTER THAN YOU (1) was able to sit without cover last time out at Albion Park when narrowly beaten by Bettorlightemup who secured a soft run leaders back. He has good gate speed and should easily be able to drive through and lead this race in the early stages. He looks very hard to beat.

TWO TICKS (7) has raced without luck in her recent outings including last start when caught wide early before being shuffled back to the rear of the field. If she is able to hustle through early and hold the back of the likely leader Smarter Than You she looks a very good hope in this race. 

MYNAMESEVAN (3) was a real eye catcher two starts ago when getting back in the run before flashing home and running a good third behind Imperial Night. He appears likely to settle a lot closer this time and should be hard to hold out late if the race is run to suit. 

KONNYMARA (8) broke through for a well deserved win last time out when leading and proving too good for Ohoka Dream who has since run well in defeat again behind Always B Cool. He has options in this race and should run well again.

RACE 10

DOUBLE IT HARRY (2) has excellent gate speed and will likely be looking to work across to the lead in the early stages of this race. He has run good time around Penrith. which suggests he should handle the smaller circuit at Redcliffe. He put in a good effort last time out behind Im The Falcon at Menangle which is a horse that was very competitive in a higher grade in QLD. 

RACE FOR RICHES (1) drew poorly last time out at Redcliffe outside the back row and was running on late into fourth behind Our Lucy Lou. He isn’t blessed with brilliant gate speed and may get crossed in the early stages but can still secure a very good run. 

LA CAVALETTA (7) secured a good run last time out 1 out 1 back in a race taken out by Rakasandy. He should settle close enough and looks to be suited by a soft run leaders back or 3 back the pegs. If the runs come at the right time he should be running on well late. 

BLUE SUEDE ROCKA (9) was forced to race without cover last time out at this track in a race taken out by Rocksngems. He should secure a softer run this time off the speed and has been racing well enough to figure in the finish the race is run to suit.
