Form Analysis: Redcliffe June 5

RACE 1 

JOHN WAYNE (1) isn’t blessed with great gate speed but does draw 1 and is benefited by this race start point being favourable to runners drawn down low. He was luckless last start when shuffled a long way back before running through the line well. He should be able to drive through and lead and should be hard to run down.

ROCK NIEN (7) should get a good run through on the back of John Wayne who is likely to be keen to hold a forward position in this race. He hasn’t raced for over a month which appears a query coming into this race. If he is ready to go he should run well. 

HOLD ONTO YA BLING (10) appears to drop in grade in this race having contested a race at Albion Park last time out won by Hell Im Smooth. He is a horse that does his best work when sat up and saved for one run and should be suited if there is a genuine tempo early in this race. 

MAYWYN TROUABDOUR (2) scored a nice win last start after working around to the breeze mid race and just proving a touch too good for My Ultimate Victor. He draws well enough in this race and should be close enough in the run.

RACE 2 

BRACKEN WARRIOR (3) should have the gate speed to work across and find the front in this race from a favourable draw. He was a winner three starts ago when showing good gate speed to find the top and lead all the way. 

VINNIE NITRO (1) looks likely to get a very good run just behind the speed in this race from a perfect draw. She has been in excellent form in recent outings including last start when finishing third to Mahindi who has since won again. 

ETERNAL BLISS (6) had little luck last time out in a strong race where she drew inside the back row and was only able to get into the clear late in the race. She draws widest this time and may be forced to work at some stage or will be shuffled a long way back. 

DIPPED IN SILVER (9) has been racing in good form. Draws favourably outside the back row which should see him doing no work early which is seemingly how he is best suited.

RACE 3

LAST CALL (1) has the gate speed to drive through and lead in the early stages of this race. She hasn’t raced for close to a month which appears a query coming into this race. She ran well last start when finishing off strongly into second over the 2040 at this track. 

PROSPECTUS (7) was able to find the pegs from a wide draw and worked to the line nicely in a race taken out by Ebony Belle. She usually goes best when able to find the fence in her races and should get the perfect run inside the back row. 

DEE TERROR (10) led last time out and was forced to work hard in the early stages to hold the lead before eventually being run down by Cool Dude Joey. He draws to get a good run off the speed in this race and should be running on late. 

GIDUP CAPTAIN (2) scored a dominant win last time out over Captain Oh Captain at this track last time out. He steps up in grade but does draw well and could be running on late again.

RACE 4 

JILLIBY PANDA (3) has good gate speed and appears to find a race he can work forward and find the lead. He was crossed last time and left to do the work battling away strongly into the placings. He looks hard to beat. 

THREE CHORD RIFF (8) got a good run behind the speed last start and hit the line well to run second. She should get a good run off the speed again in this race and will be running on late. 

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (9) was suited by a genuine tempo last time out when sitting off the speed and running on strongly into second behind Gidup Captain. He should get a good run off the speed again and can be running on late. 

TACKAS LAST DANCE (6) should get a good run off the speed in this race. She would need the race run to suit but is capable of running into it late if it is.

RACE 5

SCHOONERS (7) has been very impressive since landing in QLD scoring a first up win at big odds before backing that win up with a dominant win last start. She should get a good run through behind the potential leader and with luck can run well. 

PINKCHAMPAGNE (1) usually likes to lead in races when she can and draws well in this race. She elected to take the sit on the short priced favourite Tiger Shirl and was able to run past her late into second behind Piscina. 

REAL MIKI (5) ran into a distant third behind dominant winner Schooners last time out who he comes up against again in this race. He draws poorly and may get a long way back but is racing well. 

WINDY HILL WHISKEY (3) got a long way back last start from a wide draw and ran on nicely into third behind My Scimitar. She should settle closer in the run this time and can be running on late.

RACE 6 

THE REAL VANESSA (1) has good gate speed and should be able to hold the lead from the good draw in this race. She has led and run well at this track before and if she can control things out in front she is likely to be hard to run down. 

ICANANDIWILL (7) should get a good run through on the back of a horse likely to be keen to hold a forward position. Her latest win in March came when securing a similar type of run at Albion Park. 

BLACK GEMSTONE (10) has been racing in good form and looks reasonably well placed in this race despite the outside back row draw. She hit the line strongly last time out after getting back in the run to finish third. 

KINGSBURY (5) hit the line well last time out after being held up at a crucial stage having started from an awkward draw. He may be shuffled back in the early stages of this race and should be running on late.

RACE 7

LA SAUVAGE (1) made a break in the score up on debut before showing good gate speed which should suggest he can drive through and lead this race. He wasn’t beaten far two starts ago in a strong race taken out by Yippe Kiyay over Hunt For Glory. He should be hard to run down. 

BLING YOUR A GAME (3) resumes in this race having shown good ability in three career starts so far. Two starts ago he ran a good second behind Yippee Kiyay which looks good form for a race of this nature. 

SOCIAL OUTING (8) secured a good run last time out 3 back on the pegs and finished off powerfully into second behind Quick Shave. He is likely to find this tougher but should get a good run off the speed. 

ROCKY OUTLOOK (5) was seemingly below his best last time out when leading and being run down finishing third. He had over a month between runs prior to last start and may have needed the outing. He should be fitter and can run a better race.

RACE 8

IAM HUGO (7) was running on strongly at this track in a race taken out by Mighty Crunch last time out. He draws the back row in this race but is the only horse on the back row and will have options in the early stages. He should run well again. 

LOSTANDFOUND (5) he raced wide on the track last time out when working into fourth behind Mighty Crunch not beaten far. He draws wide and may be forced to work or could be shuffled back early. 

QILIN (2) has enough gate speed to potentially work to the lead in this race before having options. He elected to take a sit last time he drew 1 and may elect to adopt similar tactics in this race. 

SAME OLD DEVIL (4) took on a strong race last time out and was well beaten there at Albion Park. He should find this a lot more suitable and draws reasonably.
