Gold Coast Turf Club meeting update - June 13

Racing Queensland confirms that a back-up race meeting has been programmed for the Polytrack at the Gold Coast Turf Club on Saturday, June 13, in the event the club’s race meeting on its course proper on the day is unable to proceed.  

In the event the course proper to become unsuitable for racing, a back-up meeting on the Polytrack will be introduced. This transfer, if required, would need to take place prior to scratching time on raceday.  

Trainers should note that should the back-up meeting not be required then it will be deleted and there will be no fees applicable for any nominations/acceptances. The back-up race meeting’s program is:

• Open Handicap (1540m) $28,000;
• Benchmark 75 Handicap (1150m) $28,000;
• Benchmark 65 Handicap (1900m) $28,000;
• Benchmark 65 Handicap (1540m) $28,000;
• Benchmark 60 Handicap (1050m) $28,000;
• Maiden Plate (Set Weights) (2000m) $30,000;
• Maiden Plate (Set Weights) (1540m) $30,000; (QTIS for 2+3YO) and
• Maiden Plate (Set Weights) (1150m) $30,000; (QTIS for 2+3YO).

Deadlines for the meeting are as follows:

• Nominations: Wednesday, 4pm;
• Acceptances: Thursday, 11am; and
• Jockeys: Thursday, 1pm.
