RACE 1

BENNY (8) was able to find the lead last time out at this track and trip when proving too good for them on his third start. He faces a 10 metre handicap this time but should be very hard to beat with a repeat of his latest effort when leading all the way.

MANE ATTRACTION (2) stepped nicely last time out before controlling things and kicking nicely late when running third. Manners particularly at the start of these standing starts for the 2YO trotters generally play a big part in the result of races. She is likely to have derived benefit from her last two outings and should run well third up.

HARPER FERRY (3) secured a good run last time out just behind the speed when running second to Benny who he takes on again in this race. He is likely to have derived good benefit from his latest outing and should run well again.

BOSTON BLIZZARD (4) has had four starts so far and seems to be improving each time she steps out. She secured a good run on the pegs last time out and battled away well for third behind Benny.

SELECTIONS: BENNY (8), MANE ATTRACTION (2), HARPER FERRY (3), BOSTON BLIZZARD (4)

SUGGESTED BET: MAN ATTRACTION (2) each way.

RACE 2

SQUAMISH (3) found the front two starts ago and was able to lead all the way scoring a good win. He then took on a much stronger field in a race taken out by Inter Dominion finalist Jilliby Dreamlover. He should be hard to beat.

ALDEBARAN SUE (2) looks to be a young trotter with good ability having run a number of good races as a 3YO. She appears to have reasonable gate speed and does draw to advantage over what looks to be her main rival in this race Squamish. She trialled up very sharply recently when finishing just 4 metres off pacer Need Not To Warry.

INSTANT DELIGHT (4) was forced to race without cover four starts ago when racing at this track. She was able to score when outstaying Daimyo who had every chance to beat her out in front. She should be able to race up on speed again and can run well again.

WHIRLWIND WILBUR (5) ran well last time out to get into second behind Squamish who he takes on again in this race. He draws a touch awkwardly on the front row. He can be running on late again.

SELECTIONS: SQUAMISH (3), ALDEBARAN SUE (2), INSTANT DELIGHT (4), WHIRLWIND WILBUR (5), IZARRA (8)

SUGGESTED BET: SQUAMISH (3) to win.

RACE 3

HEZA PUNK ROCKER (1) was brilliant last time out when having his first start for his new trainer Jason Grimson rating a flying 1.52.4 mile rate running home a sizzling last 1200 of 27.7, 26, 26.7. Not only does he look the winner of this race he looks a big player in future FFA level races and potentially beyond. A horse to keep an eye on.

HES NO ROMEO (3) was able to get the run through on the back of HEZA PUNK ROCKER last time out and ran a very good second there beating the third horse Free Thinker by a considerable margin. He draws to get a reasonable run close to the likely short priced favourite and looks a good chance of running into second late again.

MOSSDALE TERRY (2) looks to get the perfect run on the back of the likely leader HEZA PUNK ROCKER. He chose to stay off the pegs last time out which may not have been his best option the way the run was run. Getting back onto the pegs he can bounce back.

FREE THINKER (4) secured a great run 3 back on the pegs last time out and was able to run a clear third behind HEZA PUNK ROCKER and HES NO ROMEO. He should get a good run again on the pegs and can be running on late.

SELECTIONS: HEZA PUNK ROCKER (1), HES NO ROMEO (3), MOSSDALE TERRY (2), FREE THINKER (4)

SUGGESTED BET: HES NO ROMEO (3) to place.

RACE 4

LUVARECHS (1) has good gate speed and should drive through and lead this race. She found the front two starts ago rating fast time when winning beating Our Vincent Can Gogh over the 2138. She had less luck last time out when forced to race without cover running a good fourth behind Jungle Dragon. She should be very hard to run down again.

REDS ABLAZE (2) was able to work to the lead last start which should seemingly have seen her incredibly hard to run down. She seemingly went a touch below her best there when run down by Sweet Agenda. She was a very good winner after racing off the speed early four starts ago over the 2138 before taking on much stronger company. She can look to bounce back.

REELY NAUTI (3) secured a good run off the speed in a race taken out well by Bella Danza who has since won again. She should get a good run close to the speed and seems to be best suited when driven quietly early.

TENACIOUSLY (5) secured a good run on the fence two starts ago and was able to sprint best to score. She is likely to get a long way back from a wider draw this time and should be running on late.

SELECTIONS: LUVARECHS (1), REDS ABLAZE (2), REELY NAUTI (3), TENACIOUSLY (5)

SUGGESTED BET: LUVARECHS (1) to win.

RACE 5

RED BULL BERNIE (10) showed gate speed last time out before obtaining a trail and sitting close to the speed there. He battled away fairly to finish seventh behind All Over It. He draws outside the back row in this race which appears to make things tough but he does step back to the mile which could play into his favour.

BETTOR BE BOHDI (5) has excellent gate speed and was able to find the front last time out before handing over to Enola. He couldn’t quite hang on for second late fading into third in the concluding stages. He should get across to the lead early before having options from there.

KASH FUND (7) found the front last time out from wide draw before being run down late by Boulevard Bart and Victree Charlie. He should be able to find a prominent position in this race and should run well again.

GIRL POWER (9) was able to find the front and led all the way beating Perfect Lou recently over the 2040 at Redcliffe. She then took on a much stronger race and was well beaten. She should secure a good run off the speed and can be running on late.

SELECTIONS: RED BULL BERNIE (10), BETTOR BE BOHDI (5), KASH FUND (7), GIRL POWER (9)

SUGGESTED BET: RED BULL BERNIE (10) to win.

RACE 6

DREAMALITTLEDREAM (7) trialled up sharply behind Eye Keep Smiling which looks good form for a race of this nature. She backed that up with a good effort behind Seaside Glory last time out over the 1660 at this track. She looks to find a race where she should be able to work to the lead and should be very hard to beat.

DOLLY ROCKET (8) raced off the speed two starts ago when finishing over the top to score a good win over the 2138. She then had less luck last time out when held up after racing on the pegs. She should get a great run three back on the pegs and should be running on late.

PRINCESS ARNA (1) led and was too good for Rolling Bonus and Much Bettor last time out at this track and distance. She has good gate speed and should be able to lead early before having options. She has had a break between runs and steps up in grade into this race.

BUBBY TO BASE (9) was a good winner two starts ago when working early before obtaining cover and sprinting best late to beat Golden Shooz. She should get a good run through early and can be running on late again.

SELECTIONS: DREAMALITTLEDREAM (7), DOLLY ROCKET (8), PRINCESS ARNA (1), BUBBY TO BASE (9)

SUGGESTED BET: DOLLY ROCKET (8) to place.

RACE 7

HOT ROD HARRY (10) is never too far away but does struggle to finish it off and win which has seen him win just once this year in 21 starts with 5 placings. He has versatility in this type of grade and could be put into the race at some stage if the tempo permits.

BORELLA (3) was able to work onto the pegs last time out to sit behind Splash Of Paynt who rolled along in that race. He hit the line well to get into second behind a horse that came with momentum out wider on the track. He should find a forward position early and can run well again.

DRAGON (8) was forced to race without cover last time out at Redcliffe and just wasn’t quite able to reel in the leader Jive Master. He should get a much cosier run on the pegs this time behind the speed and can be running into it late.

I OF A HURRICANE (1) handed over the front last time out and was then shuffled back to a position three back on the fence. She did well to battle away not beaten far and with more luck in running this time.

SELECTIONS: HOT ROD HARRY (10), BORELLA (3), DRAGON (8), I OF A HURRICANE (1)

SUGGESTED BET: HOT ROD HARRY (10) to win.

Slide8_166.png

RACE 8

TRALEE SNICKAS (3) was able to find the front and control things last time out before dashing home a quick last start and holding off the smart Miki B. He looks to find another race where he should be able to work to the front in the early stages and should be hard to run down again in this race.

TARGARYEN (8) should get a good run through early on a horse that won’t want to be shuffled too far back. He was completely luckless last time out when shuffled back in the run before pulling wider and running on well behind Luvarechs. He should be running on late.

OUR VINCENT VAN GOGH (5) was able to find the front early two starts ago before handing over to Luvarechs and running second. He draws wider this time and may get less favours in the run. He is racing well enough to figure if the race is run to suit.

JUNGLE DRAGON (12) was able to win nicely last time out at this track over the 1660 coming wide off the track to get into it. He will need to do similar again in this race from an outside back row draw and will likely need some tempo to bring him into the race.

SELECTIONS: TRALEE SNICKAS (3), TARGARYEN (8), OUR VINCENT VAN GOGH (5), JUNGLE DRAGON (12)

SUGGESTED BET: TARGAYEN (8) each way.

Slide9_105.png

RACE 9

OHOKA DREAM (5) secured a good run 1 out 1 back last time out at this track and was able to prove too good for Treacherous Belle. He draws favourably in this race and seems to be a horse that does his best work up on speed. If he can work to the lead early he should be hard to run down.

IMPERIAL NIGHT (9) ran on nicely late last time out in a race taken out in fast time by Lochinvar Camaro. He should get a good run through without doing too much early work and should be running into it well again late.

JUST A COOL DUDE (1) was able to get an economical run through on the back of Windy Hill Wally and was able to run him down late over the 2040 at Redcliffe. He has good gate speed but does seemingly go best when driven with a sit which he may be again in this race.

HARPERVILLE (10) secured a good run behind Seaside Glory in a race that seemingly had a bit of depth. She was able to run a close up third there in what may have been one of the best runs of her career. The draw does her now favours this time but should run well again.

SELECTIONS: OHOKA DREAM (5), IMPERIAL NIGHT (9), JUST A COOL DUDE (1), HARPERVILLE (10)

SUGGESTED BET: OHOKA DREAM (5) to win.

RACE 10

EDWARD JAY (7) hasn’t started for over a month since sitting without cover at Marburg and fading out of it late. He steps back to the 1660 here and draws the front row. He looks very well graded and may look to make a play for the lead in the early stages of the race.

ALWAYS ADORNED (10) looked to be very unlucky last time out at Menangle when running up behind them with nowhere to go. She looks likely to be suited drawing the back row in a race which could generate a strong early tempo.

MAGICOL IDEAL (2) has very good gate speed and should be able to press forward and find the front in the early stages before having options. He secured a good run behind Our Uncle Les last time out and just couldn’t quite reel in that horse late at Marburg.

BOSTON BEAUTY (4) worked through the line nicely last time out in a race taken out by My Ultimate Cossie who has since won again. She is a talented horse that seems to be working back towards some of her better form.

SELECTIONS: EDWARD JAY (7), ALWAYS ADORNED (10), MAGICOL IDEAL (2), BOSTON BEAUTY (4)

SUGGESTED BET: EDWARD JAY (7) to win.
