RACE 1

BENNY (7) seems to have good ability but is still learning to race and continues to do a few things wrong which proved costly last time out when making a break and putting himself out of play. If he is able to step safely early and settle close he is likely to be hard to beat.

HARPERS FERRY (6) was able to step to the lead last time out when doing everything right and taking them all the way. He steps back up to the 2100 and faces a 10 metre handicap this time but is likely to have benefited from recent runs.

ARIELS GOLD CLASS (1) showed good ability at trials before doing things wrong on debut and taking no part in the race. If she is able to bring better manners this time she should play a big part in the race and will be hard to beat.

MANE ATTRACTION (3) was able to secure a good run on the pegs last start and ran on well late into second behind Strier. She appears to be closing in on a win and if she is able to do everything right looks a hope in this race.

SELECTIONS: BENNY (7), HARPERS FERRY (6), ARIELS GOLD CLASS (1), MANE ATTRACTION (3)

SUGGESTED BET: BENNY (7) to win.

RACE 2

ITS ALL RIGHT NOW (10) was shuffled back early last time out when drawing gate 1 before finishing it off strongly late to beat Nonis Gold Class. She has had plenty of standing start experience previously at this track and has generally done things right at the start. She should run well again.

NONIS GOLD CLASS (11) secured a good run off the speed last start before weaving through and finishing it off powerfully into second behind ITS ALL RIGHT NOW (10). She is a trotter with good ability and with a clean getaway in this race she should be hard to beat.

PROPELLED PRINCESS (6) has impressed this time in. She was particularly good two starts ago when running into a good second behind Iconic Image at this track after securing a good run in the race. She is well handicapped and can run well in this company.

BLACK VIPER (9) finished third last start behind ITS ALL RIGHT NOW (10) and NONIS GOLD CLASS (11) who he takes on again in this race. If he is able to step safely and settle close enough in the run he looks to have strong claims.

SELECTIONS: ITS ALL RIGHT NOW (10), NONIS GOLD CLASS (11), PROPELLED PRINCESS (6), BLACK VIPER (9)

SUGGESTED BET: NONIS GOLD CLASS (11) to win.

RACE 3

SQUAMISH (8) is a highly promising, talented trotter that still seems to be learning the craft but is gradually getting the hang of things this campaign and is delivering on his early promise. He scored an excellent win two starts ago when leading and rating fast time beating Instant Delight before making a break at a crucial stage last time out losing plenty of ground and incredibly still managing to run third. He looks hard to beat.

SERENA LOVE (2) was able to sit without cover last time out at this track and trip proving too good there. She takes on a similar type of race and may be able to work her way to the lead this time. If she could find the front she would likely be hard to run down.

INSTANT DELIGHT (5) ran well two starts ago when finishing second to SQUAMISH (8) in a race the winner rated fast time. She was checked last time out and was taken out of play there which she can be forgiven for. She should be able to bounce back.

SECOND TO NUN (3) trialled up smartly recently at this track when winning by a big margin. She has previously shown good ability in NSW. She does draw a touch awkwardly in this race but with the right run can figure in the finish.

SELECTIONS: SQUAMISH (8), SERENA LOVE (2), INSTANT DELIGHT (5), SECOND TO NUN (3)

SUGGESTED BET: SQUAMISH (8) to win.

RACE 4

NUMBER ONE RANGER (6) showed excellent gate speed last time out to shoot across and lead before handing over to Ruggards Gee Tee and running second in a race the winner rated good time. This race looks considerably easier than that latest outing and if he can find the front he should be hard to run down.

SAME OLD DEVIL (3) was able to secure a good run on the pegs two starts ago and ran on well into third behind Ourbeachgirlmaywyn. He draws well in this race and should be able to find a prominent position in running. He should run well again.

SAINT MAHARG (7) secured a good run last time out and was running on late into second behind Major Orion at Redcliffe. He draws wide in this race which does appear quite awkward on paper. He will need luck from the poor draw.

STUNNING STRANGER (2) led five starts ago and was able to take them all the way. He raced without luck last time out after drawing poorly he was shuffled back and couldn’t get into it late behind Enola last start.

SELECTIONS: NUMBER ONE RANGER (6), SAME OLD DEVIL (3), SAINT MAHARG (7), STUNNING STRANGER (2)

SUGGESTED BET: NUMBER ONE RANGER (6) to win.

RACE 5

BLACKJACK SAM (9) ran seventh last time out in the Nutrien Sales Classic final which was taken out by Black Bang Bart which looks good form for a race of this nature. He draws the back row but appears to be a horse with good ability and should run well on return in this race.

CHARMED CONQUEST (1) hasn’t finished in the placings so far in three careers but has shown good ability and looks set to run a good race from a great draw. He drew poorly last time out and was wide off the track in the quickest part of the race. He appears to have gate speed and should run well.

ZOOMER BOOMER (8) has shown good ability so far in her races winning well after leading on debut at Redcliffe before finding one too good her following start over the 2040 in Red And Rich. She drew poorly last time out and was running on well into sixth.

JOVIAL JIM (5) took on the Consolation of the Breeders Classic last time out when sitting 1 out 1 back and just fading late into eighth behind Thats Classic. He draws a touch awkwardly in this race and may be shuffled back early.

SELECTIONS: BLACKJACK SAM (9), CHARMED CONQUEST (1), ZOOMER BOOMER (8), JOVIAL JIM (5)

SUGGESTED BET: CHARMED CONQUEST (1) each way.

RACE 6

VINCHESKA (7) lands in the powerful stable of Donny Smith and looks set to play a big role on stable debut despite the wide draw. She has previously shown good gate speed and may look to press forward from the wide draw. She should run well.

NITRATOR (10) sat without cover last time out and battled on well for fourth when over racing in a race the winner Opallane rated fast time at Redcliffe. He draws poorly outside the back row in this race and may need to work at some stage.

JOHEMIAN (3) has good gate speed and may look to press forward and find the lead before having options from there. He found the front last time out over the 2138 and battled on well enough for third behind Kash Fund. He may be better suited over the 1660.

POWERMOVE (8) ssecured a good run leaders back two starts ago and wasn’t beaten far behind Ourbeachgirlmaywyn who rated fast time for this grade. She should secure a similar type of run this time and can run well again.

SELECTIONS: VINCHESKA (7), NITRATOR (10), JOHEMIAN (3), POWERMOVE (8)

SUGGESTED BET: VINCHESKA (7) to win.

RACE 7

THE TIGER ARMY (4) was sent out favourite last time out at Redcliffe when being badly checked and making a break. He draws well in this race and may be able to press to the lead. He is likely to be very hard to beat if he can find the front in this company.

LOCHINVAR JEWELLS (9) led last time out over the 2280 at Redcliffe when taken on for a large portion of the race when beaten by Dual Cam and Bettors Moon who both had soft runs behind the speed. She draws to do no work early this time and should be running on late.

NEXT TO ME (10) has previously done his racing in NSW and is making his QLD debut in this race. His latest win came five starts ago at Tamworth when finding the front and taking them all the way. His best NSW form would likely see him very competitive in this race.

AMILLIONCHANCES (3) isn’t a horse known for his gate speed but should still be close enough in this race from a good draw. He was able to secure a good run off the speed four starts ago and was able to run over the top to score a good win over the 2138 at this track.

SELECTIONS: THE TIGER ARMY (4), LOCHINVAR JEWELLS (9), NEXT TO ME (10), AMILLIONCHANCES (3)

SUGGESTED BET: THE TIGER ARMY (4) to win.

RACE 8

OUR SWEET JESS (2) has good gate speed and may have found a race where she could work to the lead. She was left without cover in a truly run race last time out and battled on well to finish midfield behind Bizzie Lizzie. She draws inside that horse this time and if she can lead she would likely be hard to run down.

INTERPRETATION (1) has good gate speed and should be able to lead before having options from there. She has seemingly had a few issues with her gait in QLD making a break on multiple occasions. She did plenty of work last time out and may be driven more conservatively this time.

FIFTY THREE STARS (7) was able to work to the lead last time out and took them all the way beating Bart Bentley who has since come out and won. He draws widest this time and may be forced to do the work if he can’t get across to the lead.

BARRETT (10) didn’t have the best of luck last time out at Marburg when locking stays at a crucial stage of the race. He looks well graded in this race but does draw outside the back row and will need the race run to suit.

SELECTIONS: OUR SWEET JESS (2), INTERPRETATION (1), FIFTY THREE STARS (7), BARRETT (10)

SUGGESTED BET: OUR SWEET JESS (2) to win.

Slide9_117.png

RACE 9

BEACHRIDE (6) was able to find the front last time out and rolled along there at Redcliffe when holding off Our Ultimate Jessy late to score a good win and rate very fast time. He draws the front row again in this race and may be able to work over and find the front again. If he could lead he would be hard to run down.

JUST A COOL DUDE (2) doesn’t have much gate speed which can see him shuffled back at times in races. He does seemingly draw ideally to land straight in the running line in this race and should be close enough to run right into the finish late.

HELL IM SMOOTH (8) should get a good run through early and will just be relying on some luck to get into the clear at the right time.

HEZ DUSTY (9) drew poorly more than a month ago at this track when running on late into fifth behind Maxo Mighty who had a good carnival in QLD following that win. He returns in this race and draws reasonably on the back row.

SELECTIONS: BEACHRIDE (6), JUST A COOL DUDE (2), HELL IM SMOOTH (8), HEZ DUSTY (9)

SUGGESTED BET: HELL IM SMOOTH (8) each way.

Slide10_46.png

RACE 10

SHE MAYBE BETTOR (1) showed enough gate speed to retake the lead off Lets Go Bailey last time out before being run down late to finish third. Her run prior was possibly a touch better when being beaten by Mullum Doc who ran her down late in a race they rated good time for the grade.

BETTOR CHEER (3) was able to work forward and find the back of Monopollie last time out before sprint best to score. He should settle close again from a good draw in this race and likes racing at this track.

DIEGO DELGADO (8) should get a good run through on the back of a horse likely to be keen to hold a forward position in this race. He over raced last time out at this track when sitting without cover and fading late into tenth. He should be able to bounce back.

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (6) worked around to the breeze last time out and was able to kick clear at the top of the straight before being run down late by Dipped In Silver. She draws awkwardly in this race but does seem to be working back into form and could run well.

SELECTIONS: SHE MAYBE BETTOR (1), BETTOR CHEER (3), DIEGO DELGADO (8), ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (6)

SUGGESTED BET: DIEGO DELGADO (8) each way.
