RACE 1

LANAI (6) took on a very strong race last time out which was won by a horse contesting The Rising Sun on Saturday in Zeus Lightning. He draws poorly outside the front row but did show some toughness two starts ago when sitting without cover and running third. He looks very hard to beat.

HES SWEET (2) has good early speed and should be able to fire across in the early stages and find the lead. He was shuffled back on the pegs last time out at Albion Park and finished fourth behind Western Arterra who was able to return to form. He should be hard to beat.

TREACHEROUS BELLE (1) has very little gate speed which could mean she can’t take full advantage of her good gate in this race. She should still secure a good run and appeared unlucky when securing a good run on the pegs three starts ago at Albion Park.

SKYS LEGACY (9) contested a race at this track where he was shuffled back in the early stages and was running on late behind Sweet Lad Jujon. He is likely to be shuffled back again and will be hoping for a more genuine early tempo.

SELECTIONS: LANAI (6), HES SWEET (2), TREACHEROUS BELLE (1), SKYS LEGACY (9)

SUGGESTED BET: LANAI (6) to win.

RACE 2

MACH ASSASSIN (1) has good gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead in this race which is a position he has run well in previously. He was badly held up last start when first up from a spell at this track and is likely to have derived good benefit from that outing.

SWEET LAD JUJON (7) was able to show good gate speed and find the front last start before kicking and just holding off My Ultimate Mario. He should secure an economical run in this race potentially behind the lead and should run well again.

MULLUM RUBY (2) was first up from a spell last time out and drew poorly. She looked to be under pressure turning for home but rallied nicely late when running up behind them appearing to have a bit in reserve late.

JUSTA DRAGON (6) raced without luck last start after drawing poorly in a strong race taken out by Double It Harry. He draws poorly again but drops in grade and can look to bounce back.

SELECTIONS: MACH ASSASSIN (1), SWEET LAD JUJON (7), MULLUM RUBY (2), JUSTA DRAGON (6)

SUGGESTED BET: MACH ASSASSIN (1) to win.

RACE 3

DUSTY MUSTER (2) has been a winning machine since landing in QLD scoring four consecutive wins before running a great second last start. He finds a race where he should be able to lead and that’s how he was able to score two starts ago over Prince Joy. He should be hard to beat again.

BARLOR HEAVEN (6) got shuffled back in the run last start in a race the leaders set a very genuine tempo which played into his favour. He should get a good run off the speed again in this race and given a similar early tempo he should be running on well late.

STILLYOURSHOT (9) took on a strong race last start which was taken out by Maxo Mighty. He drops right back in grade into this race and should get a good run off the speed. He should be running on late.

ETERNAL BLISS (5) sat without cover two starts ago and battled on well at this track for second over the 1780. She has some versatility in this type of grade and should run well again.

SELECTIONS: DUSTY MUSTER (2), BARLOR HEAVEN (6), STILLYOURSHOT (9), ETERNAL BLISS (5)

SUGGESTED BET: DUSTY MUSTER (2) to win.

RACE 4

BOLZANO (6) made a break three starts ago at this track and was still able to score when shooting up the sprint lane to nab Real Tin Tin. He has raced with less luck his last two when getting back in races which haven’t been run to suit. This race looks a touch more suitable.

PLANET DOWNS (8) ran an excellent race last start at Albion Park when working hard outside the leader over the 2138 in a race taken out by Ascot Showtime where the winner rated a fast 1.55 for the grade. He should settle close enough and finds a winnable race.

HIGHVIEW SADLER (1) was well beaten in a recent trial at Albion Park but was held up for a large portion of the trial and appeared to run through the line nicely late. He is likely to have derived benefit from the recent outing and should run well for his new stable.

LAST CALL (3) got back in the run three starts ago at this track after drawing wide and flashed late into third there. She worked hard off the gate last start which probably isn’t how she is best suited and still finished close enough late despite racing off the pegs. She should settle close enough and can run well.

SELECTIONS BOLZANO (6), PLANET DOWNS (8), HIGHVIEW SADLER (1), LAST CALL (3)

SUGGESTED BET: LAST CALL (3) to win.

RACE 5

JUDAH RED (8) put in a huge run last time out after being badly checked in the early stages he recovered having lost plenty of ground before flashing late and running fourth. He scored a nice win his start prior when leading all the way rating good time at this track. He gains a soft trailing draw and should be hard to beat.

UCANCALLME AL (1) has plenty of early speed and should be able to drive through and lead in the early stages of the race. He was well beaten last start but may still have put in one of the best runs of his career so far when beaten 28 metres in a flying 1.53 mile rate for the 2138 at Albion Park. He can lead and give them something to catch.

STRAIGHTNNARROW (6) was the beneficiary of an early shuffle up last start which saw the two main fancies taken out of play there. He draws poorly again in this race but it is an open race and could generate a genuine tempo.

THREEFIVEONE (7) likely to go around a big price in this race first up for close to 2 months. She should be kept safe despite the quality of opposition from an ideal draw.

SELECTIONS: JUDAH RED (8), UCANCALLME AL (1), STRAIGHTNNARROW (6), THREEFIVEONE (7)

SUGGESTED BET: JUDAH RED (8) to win.

RACE 6

LITTLE SURFER GIRL (1) couldn’t quite get across Vinnie Nitro in the early stages last time out who went on to win the race. She battled away well to run fifth not beaten far having done plenty of early work. If she is able to lead she should be hard to beat.

WELL SAID NUGGET (7) should get a good run through early on the back of the potential leader in the race. He is having his first run for over two months in this race and hasn’t trialled which is a query. He can run well if he’s ready to go first up.

ROCKIN SWEET (5) is having his first start for a new stable in the race. He draws wide in this race but does have early speed and could find a prominent position in the race.

OUR ANGELS ENVY (8) had no luck last start when shuffled back to near last in the run before having nowhere to go in the concluding stages when running on well behind them. She looks very well suited in this company and should be running on well late.

SELECTIONS: LITTLE SURFER GIRL (1), WELL SAID NUGGET (7), ROCKIN SWEET (5), OUR ANGELS ENVY (8)

SUGGESTED BET: LITTLE SURFER GIRL (1) to win.

RACE 7

GALVARINO (2) has excellent gate speed and should be able to zip across and lead in this race. He is having his first run back in QLD having done his recent racing in NSW. His latest outing he was held up on the pegs before finishing off moderately late.

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (9) has been able to bounce back into some form in recent outings. She was forced to do plenty of work last time out to hold the lead in the early stages and was just run down late by Sheez Got Torque who had the perfect run on her back. She should be running on late.

MISTER DELWIN (5) worked early last time out before being shuffled back and not running on late. He had put in a much better run his start prior when securing a soft run on the leaders back. He may be shuffled back early in this race and can be running on late.

AQUA CRUISER (8) was well beaten in a recent trial albeit by a very smart horse in Move It Lou. He draws to get a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse and should run a good run first up for his new trainer Jonah Hutchinson.

SELECTIONS: GALVARINO (2), LOVIN MISS DIXIE (9), MISTER DELWIN (5), AQUA CRUISER (8)

SUGGESTED BET: GALVARINO (2) to win.

RACE 8

CAPTAIN KEV (1) has moderate gate speed and should be able to hold a prominent position in this race. He trialled well enough albeit in very moderate time behind Big Reputation. He should be hard to beat first up.

QUICK SHAVE (2) closed strongly late in his latest start behind All Eyes On Bling. He draws well this time and may look to hold a prominent position early. With a similar effort to last start he should be thereabouts late.

WICKED DE LIL (8) is first up from a long spell having last raced in February. She draws reasonably on the back row on return and should secure a good run. She did seem to do her best work when up on the speed last time in but may have matured in her time off.

JOVIAL JODI (6) broke her impeccable run of having won or placed in all four career starts last time out when finishing seventh after getting back in the run and running on fairly late. This looks easier and she can bounce back.

SELECTIONS: QUICK SHAVE (2), WICKED DE LIL (8), JOVIAL JODI (6), CAPTAIN KEV (1)

SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN KEV (1) to win.

Slide9_94.png

RACE 9

MAYWYN VALENTINO (1) has shown a huge amount of gate speed previously which could make the draw a little tricky early. If he is able to hold a prominent position in the early stages of the race he should be very hard to beat having run well a number of times in his first campaign.

FREE DELIVERY (3) ran well last start in a race taken out by the very short priced favourite Diva Bon Viva. He was able to find a position three back the pegs last time out and was hitting the line well when running into second.

MISTER CEE CEE (8) took on a strong qualifying trial won by Havtimemajor who was able to score by a huge margin on debut. He went to the line alongside Simply Inspiring and it And Ready who has both run good races since that qualifying trial.

ORION ART (2) raced without much luck last time out when running on nicely in the concluding stages behind My Ultimate Zander. This race looks much easier than that latest outing and she should run well again.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYN VALENTINO (1), FREE DELIVERY (3), MISTER CEE CEE (8), ORION ART (2)

SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYN VALENTINO (1) to win.

RACE 10

JEWEL REASON (2) has early speed and should find a prominent position in this race. She was forced to do it tough last time out and was well beaten there in a race taken out by Sweet Times. She should be able to bounce back and run well in this race.

RED AND RICH (7) ran well on debut behind Sweet Times when making up good late ground into third. He is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from that debut run and has drawn well in this race to have options.

SOCIAL OUTING (6) still seems to be finding his gait and paced roughly for a large part of the race two starts ago at Redcliffe which was seemingly his undoing. He went much better last start when not beaten far at Marburg. He draws wide but has claims in a moderate race.

BAILAORA (1) was well beaten on debut but did take on a 2YO which has now been selected to take on the Protostar in Havtimeamjor. She ran well enough on debut to suggest that having derived benefit from that outing she can run well from a good draw in this race.

SELECTIONS: JEWEL REASON (2), RED AND RICH (7), SOCIAL OUTING (6), BAILAORA (1)

SUGGESTED BET: JEWEL REASON (2) to win.
