RACE 1

ARIELS GOLD CLASS (3) appeared to trial up quite nicely for a race of this nature. Her dam has also produced Mira Saturn and Nonis Gold Class which have both shown good ability at times. She appeared to step safely enough in her recent trial which should see her suited in this race.

STRIER (2) trialled up reasonably for a race of this nature. His dam also produced Prohibited Love, Aspiring Victree and Kyokushion Bear all winners of multiple races. He can make a strong start to his career in this race.

SNOWITALL (6) was able to capitalise on errors of some of his main rivals last start doing everything right when scoring a big win. He faces a handicap of 10 metres this time but did win by a margin last start and a similar effort should see him competitive again.

BENNY (4) did things wrong in his latest start before giving the leaders a big start and running well to not be beaten too far. He is likely to have benefited from the experience there and can run well.

SELECTIONS: ARIELS GOLD CLASS (3), STRIER (2), SNOWITALL (6), BENNY (4)

SUGGESTED BET: ARIELS GOLD CLASS (3) to win.

RACE 2

SQUAMISH (2) is a trotter with a lot of ability. He is seemingly beginning to put things together and was able to hit the line powerfully late last start at this track and trip behind one of NSW’s leading trotters in I Am Hellbound. He draws well and if he can continue to do things right he can run well again.

MISTER BLINDSIDE (7) is another trotter that’s always shown ability while doing plenty of things wrong. He did things wrong three starts ago and finds himself ODM as a result in this race. He got a long way back and hit the line nicely last start. He is likely to be better suited over the 2138.

WHIRLWIND WILBUR (8) was able to secure the perfect run into the race two starts ago and sprinted best to score a narrow victory. He got back in the run last start before hitting the line strongly late to finish close up behind Alderbaran Fonz. He should run well again.

INSTANT DELIGHT (5) did well to navigate a passage away from the inside at just the right time last start and was able to finish off strongly once clear but couldn’t quite reel in the leader Alderbaran Fonz. She draws wide in this race and may be forced to work at some stage.

SELECTIONS: SQUAMISH (2), MISTER BLINDSIDE (7), WHIRLWIND WILBUR (8), INSTANT DELIGHT (5)

SUGGESTED BET: SQUAMISH (2) to win.

RACE 3

CRIPPA MAX (4) was able to sit without cover when first up in QLD two starts ago proving too good for Bettor Be Bohdi. He then took on a much stronger field and was left without cover again in a race taken out by Nymbal. He should appreciate the drop back in grade and should be hard to beat.

BEROCCA BERNIE (8) took on a strong race last time out won by Nymbal. He should appreciate the step back in class into this race. He draws to have options on the back row and should be running into it late.

OURBEACHGIRLMAYWYN (6) was running on late in a race taken out by James Alfred last time out. She is likely to be shuffled back again in this race and has had a gap between runs which appears a query.

BENNYDASOOK (3) has the gate speed to lead again in this race. He was able to lead last start and proved a touch too good for Sassaba at this track and trip. If he can control things out in front he should be hard to run down again.

SELECTIONS: CRIPPA MAX (4), BEROCCA BERNIE (8), OURBEACHGIRLMAYWYN (6), BENNYDASOOK (3)

SUGGESTED BET: CRIPPA MAX (4) to win.

RACE 3

SELECTIONS: CRIPPA MAX (4), BEROCCA BERNIE (8), OURBEACHGIRLMAYWYN (6), BENNYDASOOK (3)

SUGGESTED BET: CRIPPA MAX (4) to win.

RACE 4

TYTATE (5) was a smart mare in NZ that had plenty of gate speed and showed toughness at times when required. She trialled fairly when leading them up and fading late in a trial won by Tilly Dunnage. She is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from that trial. She can run well on QLD debut.

LUX AETERNA (7) drew well last start and was able to secure a good run off the speed in a race the leader Tokyo Rose set a frantic tempo throughout. She draws poorly this time outside the front row in a small field and will likely need a few things to go her way in the run.

WINDY HILL TARA (3) ran a very good race two starts ago just missing when finishing second behind The Vicar Of Dibley at this track. She draws a touch awkwardly but if she can secure a good run she should go well.

BELLA DANZA (1) performed poorly last time out when leading before giving ground late to finish eighth. She has since had a stable change and lands in the stable of Alex Ashwood. Her best is good enough to play some part in a race of this nature.

SELECTIONS: TYTATE (5), LUX AETERNA (7), WINDY HILL TARA (3), BELLA DANZA (1)

SUGGESTED BET: TYTATE (5) to win.

RACE 5

MY SCIMITAR (4) was very well driven last time out to nab the 1-1 and was able to sprint up sharply there beating Victree Charlie. He should be able to secure a similar run in this race which doesn’t look any tougher than the field he took on in his latest outing. He should run well again.

MACS A DUDE (6) drew poorly last start and got a long way back before hitting the line strongly late behind Burns Bay. He is a horse with gate speed and may look to press forward early in this race. He should run a good race.

WARRAWEE FLYER (9) secured a good run off the speed last start and was making good late inroads when finishing fourth behind Dee Terror. She should secure a good run off the speed again in this race.

MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (7) ran well last start when sitting witout cover over the 2138 at this track finishing sixth behind Baby Your The One. This looks a considerable drop in grade and the step back to the 1660 may be suitable. If he can find a position up on speed he should be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: MY SCIMITAR (4), MACS A DUDE (6), WARRAWEE FLYER (9), MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (7)

SUGGESTED BET: MY SCIMITAR (4) to win.

RACE 6

ROCKNROLL WALLA (1) is having his first run for the Butler stable having previously done his QLD racing for the stable of Charlie Martin. He was left to do the work outside the leader two starts ago and was beaten a very long way but was likely entitled to be given the brilliant time the winner Sweet On Lexy rated.

QUADDIE V C (8) worked early last time out before finishing down the track well beaten by Hesitate. He has good gate speed and should be able to drive through on the back of Rocknroll Walla who has early speed. He should get a good chance to bounce back.

CREDULOUS (9) drew well last start and was able to secure a good run behind Hesitate battling away well late for third. She draws well in this race to have options in the early stages whether she dives back down to the rails or elects to stay in the running line.

FIRE RAISER (2) ran well two starts ago racing off the pegs and finishing fourth to Always Dancing at Redcliffe. He should settle close enough again from a good draw in this race and should be running on late.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL WALLA (1), QUADDIE V C (8), CREDULOUS (9), FIRE RAISER (2)

SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL WALLA (1) to win.

Slide7_176.png

RACE 7

LOCHINVAR CAMARO (1) has very good early speed and should be able to hold a prominent position in the early stages of this race. He raced without luck last time out and was still able to battle on well to finish seventh not beaten too far. He should run well.

WICKED SUSAN (8) scored an impressive win last time out after getting a good run off the speed and running over the top of some nice horses including Red Bull Bernie, Bettor Be Bohdi and Fight For Victory. She appears likely to get a great run through behind Lochinvar Comaro and should be hard to hold out again.

BLUE SUEDE ROCKA (2) has excellent gate speed and can look to find a prominent position in this race. He got back in the run last time out at Redcliffe and ran on well late into third behind Aurora Joy at Redcliffe. If he can find the front he is likely to be hard to run down in a race of this nature.

TRALEE SNICKAS (3) was caught wide in the early stages last start before working to the 1-1 and running on fairly late into fifth. This race looks a touch easier and he draws closer in this time which should see him with strong winning claims.

SELECTIONS: LOCHINVAR CAMARO (1), WICKED SUSAN (8), BLUE SUEDE ROCKA (2), TRALEE SNICKAS (3)

SUGGESTED BET: WICKED SUSAN (8) to win.

Slide8_154.png

RACE 8

SWEET DIOR (1) led two starts ago before handing over to Maxo Mighty. She was still able to run second not beaten too far in a fast 1.51.2 mile rate. She looks the leader this time from a good draw and looks likely to be very hard to run down.

OHOKA DREAM (6) was able to get the perfect run through on the back of Alta Sensation last time out before sprinting well to score. He draws wider this time but has shown he is capable of doing work in his races and running well. He should be fitter for recent outings having had a long spell prior to resuming.

FOXFIRE EASTON (8) showed very good gate speed last start to zip across and lead at Marburg. Despite doing some early work in that race he really took off and scored a quite dominant win. This is much tougher but he does draw to get plenty of favours in the run.

DRAGON (10) raced without luck last time out when badly held up after starting from inside the back row. He draws poorly again in this race outside the back row and will likely need the race run to suit to figure in the finish.

SELECTIONS: SWEET DIOR (1), OHOKA DREAM (6), FOXFIRE EASTON (8), DRAGON (10)

SUGGESTED BET: SWEET DIOR (1) to win.

Slide9_95.png

RACE 9

FIRE AND PASSION (2) was forced to do plenty of work outside the leader last time out and was just run down by the very smart Nymbal. He has good gate speed and he draws to lead this time. He should be able to control things out in front and will be hard to run down.

FERNCO NEL (11) has scored 13 of his 14 career wins in QLD since landing in the stable of Chantal Turpin. He was wide early while the leader was flying along out in front and was then forced to work again through the fastest part of the race out wide on the track. He is best known as a speedy sit sprinter and if the race is run to suit he should be running on late.

CYNICAL (7) trialled up very impressively in a recent Menangle trial beating one of the Rising Sun 3YOs in Hollywood Strip. He led in his latest race start and was beaten by Sao Paulo Simba. He draws widest and faces a tough task getting into the race but has plenty of ability offset the poor draw.

XPRESS PARTY (8) could gain the perfect trailing draw if the emergency Berocca Bernie is to come out of the race. He was excellent recently when following one of the early fancies in this race Fernco Nel recently given a similar trip. He looks likely to go around a big price and is one to include.

SELECTIONS: FIRE AND PASSION (2), FERNCO NEL (11), CYNICAL (7), XPRESS PARTY (8)

SUGGESTED BET: FIRE AND PASSION (2) to win.

Slide10_33.png

RACE 10

OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (3) has gate speed and should be able to find a prominent position in this race from a good draw. He drew poorly last start outside the front row raced without luck and was still able to finish strongly to not be beaten far.

TARGARYEN (2) has generally been known in the later stages of his career for his strong closing speed in races but he does draw outside of a horse with very little gate speed in this race and may look to zip across and sit on something in this field. He got back last start and hit the line well in what became a dash home taken out by Sheez Sweet Louise.

COSMIC FLYER (1) has no gate speed at all usually which is often his undoing when drawing well. He was able to secure a great run off the speed last start and finished powerfully there into second behind Zeus Lightning. If he can settle close enough he can be running on late.

REDS ABLAZE (5) secured a good run off the speed two starts ago and was able to run over the top late scoring a dominant win over Calling Buddy. She then raced without luck last start when dragged out of the race by a tiring runner.

SELECTIONS: OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (3), TARGARYEN (2), COSMIC FLYER (1), REDS ABLAZE (5)

SUGGESTED BET: OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (3) to win.

RACE 11

GOLDEN SHOOZ (10) was caught wide early last start before working to the breeze and battling away stronger to finish second behind the smart mare Tilly Dunnage. She draws outside the back row in this race but off her latest effort she can be put into the race at some stage and should be hard to beat.

SEASIDE GLORY (7) trialled just moderately recently at this track for a horse of her quality behind Mufasa Metro. She is likely to have derived good benefit from that recent trial having not raced since the start of May. She was in excellent form before her spell and can look to continue her good run of form in this race.

TWO TICKS (5) secured a good run last start behind Smarter Than You at Redcliffe and was able to run second to that horse in fast time. She should get a good run off the speed in this race and can be running on strongly late.

PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (2) has very good early speed and may be able to work across to the lead in the early stages. She worked hard last start early before handing over to Tilly Dunnage and finishing midfield.

SELECTIONS: GOLDEN SHOOZ (10), SEASIDE GLORY (7), TWO TICKS (5), PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (2)

SUGGESTED BET: TWO TICKS (5) each way.
