Robert Ayres could not be happier with the temperaments of litter siblings Blue Art, Art Of Deception and Tripper Art.

“Spot on attitudes,” he said.

By Tommy Shelby and out of his broodbitch, Boscono, Tripper Art takes a strong heat win into the Listed Carnival Masters Final over 520 metres at Q2 Parklands on Saturday night.

The three-year-old dark brindle bitch qualified with a two-length victory from box seven, crossing the line in 30.07 seconds.

“On time she’s got to improve four lengths. However, she’s feeling good,” the Sunshine Coast region trainer said.

“She’s not good close to the rail. Anywhere from three out would be OK.

“The good thing about it is if she begins, she’s a chance. I don’t think she can win, but I think she’s a good place chance.

“She led her heat all the way after she looked to be challenged on the turn.

“You’ve got to be in it to win it. I don’t think they’ll be running anything real flash. If you’re under 29.80 seconds, I think you’ll win it.”

Ayres said Boscono – who finished her track career with 22 wins from 69 starts for him in 2021 – threw reliable chasers.

Her progeny Blue Art and Art Of Deception have both recorded double-figure win tallies.

Litter sibling Tripper Art has 11 wins from 60 starts.

“They’re all good, keen and hardy chasers. And, they don’t get injured much,” Ayres said.

“Having said that, Blue Art has been out two months and he’s being slipped at Glass House Mountains. We’ll do that for a couple of weeks and then bring him back.

“It’s just a very good litter without having any champions.

“They’ll be good broodbitches, I think. Particularly Art Of Deception.”

Ayres said the now nine-year-old dam Boscono stepped up with her second litter by Tommy Shelby.

“The whole litter has been very good,” he said.

“There’s another one, Trendy Art in Victoria with Trendy Tommy. Gavin Kearns has got those,” the experienced 74-year-old conditioner said.

“Boscono’s first litter was ordinary, but her second litter has been fantastic.

“There are no superstars, but they can all run. Blue Art has won 30 races out of 90.

“There haven’t been any Group races. But, they’ve won the Capalaba Grand Prix and Young Guns.

“Art Of Deception has too, so they’re good dogs without being champions.”
