Form Analysis: Albion Park August 4

RACE 1 

KICKING HORSE (4) was one of the standout 2YO trotters in QLD winning four times. He returns as a 3YO this race and under the conditions of the race he appears quite well handicapped. He should be hard to beat. 

NONIS GOLD CLASS (1) got shuffled back two starts ago and was running on strongly late into second behind Its All Right Now. She appears very well handicapped starting off the front in this race and should be hard to beat if she brings her best manners. 

SERENA LOVE (6) scored a good win two starts ago beating Whirlwind Wilbur and Squamish who has since won. She then took on a strong field last start at was well beaten. She has 30 metres to overcome in this race but should still run well. 

ICONIC IMAGE (5) was beaten last time out by Serena Love who was able to secure the right run and sprint best late to score. If he can step well and settle close he should run well.

RACE 2 

KYOKUSHIN BEAR (1) was able to secure a good run last time out when sprinting nicely to beat Propelled Princess. He appears very well handicapped in this race starting off the front and should give them something to catch if he can step well. 

ALADDIN SANE (8) was able to run a good second behind Aldebaran Sue two starts ago when running on strongly from off the speed. He faces a big handicap in this race but does appear one of the class runners. 

GAZ MAN (9) started inside the back row last time out and didn’t have much luck when shuffled back in the run in a race taken out by Aldebaran Sue. He faces a big handicap in this race but should run well again. 

CROOKWELL EYES (3) appears well handicapped last time out and was able to run a good third behind Aldebaran Sue. He appears well handicapped again in this race and with a safe getaway he should run well.

RACE 3

LOVE GUN (5) contested two heats of the Inter Dominion when not having a huge amount of luck. He then took on a strong race which was taken out by Ikigai. He draws wide but appears to be dropping in grade and should run well. 

NELLIE JOY (4) found the front three starts ago and was able to lead all the way there beating Izarra and Pizza Prince. She finished sixth behind Ikigai last time out in what was a strong race where she drew awkwardly inside the back row and didn’t have muck luck. 

MISTER BLINDSIDE (6) impressed last time out when getting back in the run before running on strongly into second behind Squamish. He is likely to get back from a wide draw and should be running on late. 

NORTHERN HEIGHTS (7) remains ODM for this race having done things wrong again last time out in a race taken out by Ikigai. He has plenty of ability and just needs to bring his best manners to be a hope in this race with the right run.

RACE 4 

TIMMYTEO (3) put in an impressive effort last time out when getting back early before running on powerfully into second behind Beachbabe Crocker. He draws to be able to work to the lead in the early stages of this race. 

JAMES ALFRED (5) wasn’t suited last time out when racing off the speed in a race which the winner was able run a quick last half. He sprinted strongly to finish third behind Beachbabe Crocker and TIMMYTEO (3). He should be running on again. 

FIGHT FOR VICTORY (4) raced without cover last time out behind Degarmea Teale and was very good in defeat when not beaten far. He appears to be working back into some form and should run well in this race. 

MISS BLUETRUMP (1) doesn’t have brilliant gate speed but may be able to hold a prominent position in this race from an ideal draw. She ran a good fifth last time out behind Co Captain and looks capable of figuring with the right run.

RACE 5

TAYLORS FOUR (2) seems to love to lead in her races and loves to race over the middle trip. She draws to be able to drive through and lead in this race. She should be hard to run down. 

AMILLIONCHANCES (9) found the front last time out at this track and trip and was able to take them all the way scoring a dominant win. He draws well again on the back row in this race and should be running on well late. 

SASSABA (4) was finishing it off well last time out behind Degarmea Teale at this track over the 1660. He appears to find an easier race but does draw a touch awkwardly. He should be thereabouts again. 

POCKET BOOK (1) secured a good run two starts ago and was able to sprint best to score there after sitting behind the leader. She then had less favours in the run last time out when sitting without cover and faded late. She can bounce back.

RACE 6 

ALTA SENSATION (5) secured a good run 1 out 1 back last time out and was able to run a good third behind Fifty Three Stars at this track in good time for the grade. He does love to lead in his races but does draw outside of a number of horses which also possess good gate speed. He should run well. 

CHAMPAGNE WALSH (4) got back in the run last time out and was running on strongly late behind Bart Bentley. He should get a similar type of run in this race and if the race is run to suit he should be running on well late. 

PRINCE OF PAIN (6) led before handing over last time out and landing behind the leader before fading late in a stronger race. He is likely to be better suited in this race over the shorter course but he does draw wide. 

SCOTTIE MACH (2) was able to land a great run last time out behind the leader and was able to run second there. He draws well again and should settle close enough from the good draw.

SUGGESTED BET: ALTA SENSATION (5) to win. 

RACE 7

STRIPES (8) is the clear standout on class in this race having contested some of the 3YO fillies feature races across the carnival including the Oaks last time out when finishing sixth behind Ripples after starting on the back row. Despite starting inside the back row she looks the one to beat. 

LULU MAE (11) was able to work to the lead last time out and set a very strong tempo there before being run down late by Uncle Tony. She draws the back row this time and will likely need to do some work at some stage. 

BUDDY PERFECT (12) secured a good run off the speed last time out and was running into it well late when finishing third behind Uncle Tony and Lulu Mae. He is likely to get a good run off the speed again in this race and should be running on well late. 

OURBEACHGIRLMAYWYN (1) scored back to back wins two and three starts ago when leading all the way on both occasions. She led again last time out in a stronger race and just faded late behind stablemates Dragon and Bennydasook. If she can secure a more economical run she can bounce back.

RACE 8

NO FAMILY LIKEMINE (1) was well fancied to win two starts ago when leading and fading late into third behind Pocket Book. He has the gate speed to drive through and lead in this race and should be hard to run down if he’s able to control things out in front. 

THE REAL ROCKETMAN (10) was the first horse to work 3 wide last time out sustaining a long run before just missing behind Pinkchampagne. He draws awkwardly again in this race outside the back row and may need the race run to suit. 

MAGICOL IDEAL (9) sat without cover last time out at Marburg and was able to score a dominant win there. He should find this race a bit tougher but does like racing over the mile and should get the right type of run into the race. 

BLUE BLOODZ (3) was able to run a good second three starts ago behind Goodoldboysandbeer. He was forced to sit without cover last time out and battled away to not be beaten too far in eighth. If he can secure an economical run he should be hard to beat.

RACE 9

KISS THE CAPTAIN (1) trialled up impressively at Albion Park when forging to the front and kicking strongly late to hold off Medellin. He draws well and should settle close enough in the early stages. He should be hard to beat. 

OH ITS ON (5) was well backed last week before being scratched and has since been transferred to the stable of Jason Grimson. He appears to be a horse that could improve in this race and was very well fancied last week in a similar type of race. 

WANNABE ME (2) showed gate speed before sitting on Cattlecall last time out and was able to battle away well to run a clear second. He draws well in this race and should settle close enough again. 

JUST SONNY (8) has been racing well and appears to be closing in on a win. He raced behind the leader last time out and battled away well to not be beaten far by Crunchy Tuna.
