Form Analysis: Marburg August 31

RACE 1 

KINGSBURY (4) has good gate speed and was able to find the front last time out rating good time at Albion Park when winning by a big margin. He appears to find another race he should be able to find the front and is likely to be very hard to beat again. 

DEAL IT VINNIE (7) secured a good run leaders back last time out and was just run down in the concluding stages by Iam Hugo who ran slick sectionals to score. He is likely to get a good run off the speed and can be running on late. 

HYPNOTIZE ME (1) has good early speed and should get a good run close to the speed in this race. He looked luckless last time out when behind badly held up before running on well late. 

DIAMANTINA DAISY (6) should get a good run through in the early stages of this race. She was well beaten last time out but may be an improver in this race getting onto the pegs.

RACE 2 

SKIPPERS SWAN SONG (7) was racing well last campaign before heading for a spell. She was shuffled back first up in a race taken out by Jay Tee Tyron and just couldn’t get into it late. 

ROLLONX (5) comes into this race first up from a spell. He trialled up well enough for a race of this nature behind Azor Ahai when finishing second at Redcliffe. 

GALVARINO (9) secured a good run off the speed in this race and ran on reasonably into sixth. He draws to get a good run off the speed in this race and should be running on late. 

TODAYS HERO (2) has a good draw in this race and should settle close enough. He battled on well last time out behind Sammys Secret in what may have been a slightly stronger race.

SUGGESTED BET: SKIPPERS SWAN SONG (7) to win. 

RACE 3

SWEDESBORO (4) has good gate speed and should be able to find the front. If she finds the front she is likely to be very hard to beat having gone close to winning already in QLD leading for most of the way. 

KIPCHOGE (6) ran an excellent race last time out when making a wide run into it finishing second behind Social Outing at Redcliffe. He draws inside the back row and will need some luck in this race but if that luck comes he should be running on well again. 

TUSCANS COURAGE (8) was terribly unlucky last time out when making a break early before catching them up and still running on strongly into a close up third. This race doesn’t look any tougher and he should be close enough in the run. 

MELTON FOURHUNDRED (3) ran a reasonable race on debut when finishing fifth behind Macmuff. She should settle close to the speed and is likely to have derived benefit from her first two outings.

RACE 4 

MAJOR SLIP UP (7) looks very well graded in this race and should settle close in the run. He ran a good third last time out after sitting outside the leader at Albion park in a race taken out by Jay Tee Tyron. 

IDEAL TIGER (3) got back in the run and was running on strongly last time out to score at Redcliffe. That run was his first for the stable of Greg Elkins and he may have derived benefit from the outing. 

ERASMUS (6) draws awkwardly inside the back row in this race and is usually a horse that does his best work up on speed. He will be relying on luck at the right time to get into the clear and can well if that luck does come. 

WICKED MACK (1) has good gate speed and should lead early before having options from there. His latest win came at this track when running over the top late to score well.

RACE 5

AIMEES ALIAS (9) has been taking on much stronger company in recent outings and is likely to be much better suited in this race. She took on a good race last time out and finished it off fairly into eighth behind Crusey at Albion Park.

HEZ OUR PLAYBOY (7) applied strong pressure to Northview Cruncha last time out and tired late but was entitled to given the tough run he’d had. He may be forced to do the work again in this race but should find this a lot easier. 

WHATA SWEETY (1) showed good gate speed in a recent trial and was well beaten by Koda Da Moda but ran well enough to suggest he could be competitive in a race of this nature. 

MCROCKIN (3) attempted to cross early last time out and couldn’t quite get across there and battled away reasonably for fifth. She draws well in this race and should be close enough.

SUGGESTED BET: AIMEES ALIAS (9) to win. 

RACE 6 

SIR BRIGADOON (4) ran through the line nicely in a recent trial behind Kash Tin and Mister Freeman. He returns in this race for the stable of Charlie Martin and should run a good race first up. 

ONE LAST ROLL (5) put in a good run last time out when finishing third behind Pumpkin Pat who was a dominant winner. He draws poorly in this race and will likely need a few things to go his way in the run. 

FLY BURRA (1) led last time out and was beaten a long way there. He has since had a break and returns in this race fresh up. His best is good enough to take out a race of this nature. 

ABSOLUTELY STOKED (2) zipped across early last time out and just couldn’t go with Shes In Line when they sprinted up. She may find this a touch easier and could be better suited stepping back in trip.

RACE 7

COSMIC FLYER (4) was able to secure the right run last time out and was running on reasonably late into fifth behind Dragon. He should be close enough in the run again and looks to be very well graded in this race. 

PUMPKIN PAT (8) led last time out and ran good time when scoring a dominant win over Foxfire Easton. She draws the back row this time but is a quality horse when she is racing well and her last start win may be an indication she is back nearer her best. 

SHES IN LINE (5) found the front last time out and scored a good win there taking them all the way. She looks likely to get less favours in this race from a wide draw in this race. 

TWEEDY (1) has reasonable gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead. Her last win came when leading all the way in what may have been a touch weaker race at Redcliffe.

RACE 8

BELMER BETTY (1) was a good winner two starts ago when leading and taking them all the way at this track. She returns from a spell in this race and if she’s ready to go first up she should be hard to beat. 

COPPERFIELD (3) returns from a spell in this race and looks well placed if he is ready to go first up. His latest second placing came when getting out late to run second behind BELMER BETTY (1).

TIGER SHIRL (6) secured a good run behind the leader last time out and just faded late into fourth. She should secure a similar type of run in this race and can be thereabouts again. 

SPLASHNDASH (7) should get a good run through early in this race and looks well placed. He was able to run on well late last time out behind Docta Feelgood.
