Form Analysis: Redcliffe August 7

RACE 1 

LITTLE SURFER GIRL (3) has good early speed and is likely to look for a forward position in this race. She held the lead two starts ago and was a good winner beating Rock It baby. If she can find the front she should run well again. 

ASHLEE NITRO (1) loves racing at this track and continues to race in great style. She secured a reasonable run off the speed last time out and finished seventh behind Major Orion. She should get a good run behind the speed and looks to have good claims. 

VINNIE NITRO (8) secured a good run off the speed last time out and was running on well late into fifth behind Miss Syrah. She should get a good run off the speed again in this race and can be running on late if the race is run to suit. 

LITTLE HOOFANANNY (5) wasn’t suited last time out when getting back in the run in a race which was dominated by horses up on speed. She should get a good run off the speed again in this race and will just be relying on the race to be run to suit.

RACE 2 

CAPTAIN JAZZ (2) was very impressive on QLD debut last time out when finding the front before dashing right away and running a slick last half for the grade. She steps up in grade into this race and does draw outside of a horse which is generally keen to lead in his races. She should run well again. 

ZAC DANIELS (1) generally likes to lead in his races when he can but does find a particularly strong race here at Redcliffe. He secured a good run on the pegs off the speed last time out and was finishing it off well into fourth in a race taken out by Stillyourshot. 

MAJOR ORION (7) is seemingly stepping up in grade into this race but just continues to get better with racing in QLD. He was able to lead last time out and take them all the way rating good time beating Always Adorned. 

OPALLANE (6) led from a wide gate last time out and was able to take them all the way there rating fast time for the grade. He draws wide again and may be shuffled back but should be running on well late.

SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR ORION (7) to place. 

RACE 3

AQUA CRUISER (2) has had very tough runs his last two outings when sitting without cover. He worked hard last time out in a race which set up for a horse to come from off the speed in Grigora. If he can find the front this time he should be hard to run down. 

THE HARRIS HAWK (8) was able to secure a good run off the speed last time out when finishing it off strongly into second behind Prospectus who had settled closer to the speed in the run. He should settle close from a good draw and can be running on again. 

OCTOBER RACKETEER (3) was shuffled a long way back last time out at Albion Park before powering into it and finishing a close up fourth behind Pinkchampagne. He draws well this time and should settle close enough. 

BETTYS GOLD CLASS (9) worked off the gate early last time out before handing over to Major Orion who went on to win the race. At this stage of her career she may just be better when not used off the gate which should see her suited from this draw.

SUGGESTED BET: AQUA CRUISER (2) to win. 

RACE 4 

TILLY JAYNE (4) was forced to race without cover last time out when appearing to get a touch keen outside the leader but she was still able to beat that leader and was just run down by horses which came from off the speed. If she could work to the lead in this race she would likely be hard to beat. 

O B LEGAL (5) made a break last time out before leading at his second attempt at the start and was able to lead before tiring badly to be beaten a long way. He was very good his start prior when not beaten too far by Bluto who rated fast time. He can bounce back. 

HELL IM SMOOTH (6) made a break early last time out and was shuffled a long way back in the run as a result before running on well into fifth not beaten far. He draws outside the front row as a result of his ODM tag but looks suited in this company. 

MISTER REACTOR (7) should get a good run through inside the back row in this race following a horse which does have some early speed. He got shuffled back last time out and was making up some late ground in a race taken out by Western Arterra.

RACE 5

OHOKAREDROBINJUJON (3) secured a good run on the pegs last time out and was running on nicely late into second behind Captain Jazz which seems a horse likely to work through the grades. He draws well in this race and should be close enough in the run. 

EMMALEEN (1) isn’t a horse with much gate speed which can often see her shuffled back from good draws. She finds a race where she should be able to hold a prominent enough position early and can be running into it late. 

DOUGS TRIBE (8) has been through numerous different trainers over the past year and is clearly a horse which is difficult to get the best out of having made a break multiple times in his races. He comes into this race first up and his best is good enough. 

BLACK GEMSTONE (2) has gate speed and may look to press forward and find a prominent position in this race. She wasn’t suited when racing off the speed last time out in a very slowly run race and was still able to sprint over the top and score.

SUGGESTED BET: EMMALEEN (1) to win. 

RACE 6 

SAINT LOUIS BEAT (5) led last time out at Redcliffe over the 2040 before tiring out of it late and may just be better suited driven with a sit over the middle trip. He should get a good run off the speed this time in an easier race and can look to bounce back. 

THREE MACHS (6) got a good run on the pegs last time out at this track and was running on into fourth late behind Doc Harvey. She draws outside the front row this time and may be shuffled back which could see her relying on a genuine early tempo to bring her into the race. 

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (3) has moderate early speed and finds what is seemingly a very suitable race. He got a good run behind the leader two starts ago and was running on well into second late behind Galvarino. 

ILLBEWATCHING (9) should get a good run off the speed in the early stages of this race from a soft trailing draw in this race. He was caught wide early last time out before being shuffled back and just couldn’t get into the race late.

SUGGESTED BET: SAINT LOUIS BEAT (5) to win. 

RACE 7

SAME OLD DEVIL (8) zipped across early last time out before handing over to Number One Ranger and not being beaten too far in fourth behind Saint Maharg. He should get a good run through early in this race on the back of a gate speed horse and can be running on late. 

LOSTANDFOUND (3) is rarely far away in his races but just hasn’t quite been able to win this year having run six seconds from his twelve starts. He looks set to be forced to do the work again in this race and should be too far away at the finish. 

NOTIONS (9) lands back in the stable of Graham Dwyer in this race. She got back in the run last time out and was working through the line nicely when running into fourth late behind Toro Loco. 

SERENUS (2) has good gate speed and may look to press forward and look for the lead in the early stages of this race. She was working home stylishly last time out in a race taken out by Laceys Lass at this track last start. This looks harder but does draw well.

RACE 8

THREE CHORD RIFF (4) has early speed and may look to press forward and find the lead in this race. She raced without cover two starts ago and battled on nicely there when finishing third behind Beach Magic at this track. If she could lead she would take plenty of running down. 

THE REAL VANESSA (8) got a long way back in the run last time out before working through the line stylishly late in the race. She draws to get a good run close to the speed and if the race is run to suit she should be running on late. 

FILLY THIRTEEN (7) has run three consecutive seconds in her last three starts and will be looking to go one better in this race. She led last time out and was run down late by Doc Harvey who has been in good form. The draw looks quite awkward. 

ICANANDIWILL (5) raced without cover last time out and battled on well to not be beaten far in fifth. She may be left to do some work again from a wide draw but shouldn’t be too far away again.

RACE 9

DONTBEASTRANGER (3) secured a good run behind Maywyn Son Of Lou last time out at Albion Park in a race which the winner rated very fast time for the 2YOs. He appears to be stepping a long way back in grade into this race and draws to race in a prominent position in this race. 

HEAD RUSH (4) has been prone to making a few errors in races which has seen him regularly at the trials in his short career so far. He was able to head back to trials recently and score nicely at this track leading all the way. 

SERGENTMAJOR JUJON (1) was able to drive through and lead last time out before setting a very moderate tempo when appearing to have his chance to win. He draws well again but looks unlikely to get the same favours in the run. 

SOCIAL OUTING (6) secured a good run off the speed last time out and was able to work through the line powerfully to finish a good second behind Morefuntocome. He draws awkwardly but has been racing well and shouldn’t be too far away again.
