Form Analysis: Albion Park September 22

RACE 1 

DOUBLEFAULT (4) ran a good race last time out when getting into second behind Exit Eleven at this track and trip. He faces another slightly awkward draw but should be close enough in the small field and can run well again. 

GO MINNIE (2) has good gate speed and can look to get forward in the early stages of this race. She sat behind the leader last time out and battled on fairly for third behind Exit Eleven. 

MAJOR IMPRESSION (3) hasn’t had a lot of luck in his five start career having been left to do the work a number of times and made a break last time out which took him out of play there. He has since trialled reasonable and looks to have claims. 

JUST SONNY (1) has good gate speed and should be able to hold a prominent position in the early stages of this race. He was running on well into fourth last time out and can go well again.

RACE 2 

SQUAMISH (2) appears very well handicapped in this race starting off the front with his biggest rivals facing bigger handicaps. He was forced to sit outside the leader last time out and battled on strongly there to finish third not beaten far by NORTHERN HEIGHTS (5).

NORTHERN HEIGHTS (5) was able to break through for another win last time out running over the top late to score. He looks well handicapped in this race starting off just a 10m handicap. He is a horse that can do a few things wrong so needs to bring his best behaviour. 

MAJESTIC LAVROS (7) burned to the lead last time out and was able to score a nice win there beating Darcys Fireball who has been in excellent form. The 30m handicap does appear to make things tough for him on paper but he is the class runner. 

HEAD EM UP (4) is a horse with an abundance of ability that has been prone to doing a few things wrong in his races. He returned well enough last time out finishing seventh and starts off the front in this race.

RACE 3

GREASED LIGHTNIN (3) got back from a wide draw last time out and was running on strongly late into second. He draws to start off the front in this race and if he can step well and lead he is likely to be very hard to beat in this field. 

PATH TO GREATNESS (4) did things wrong at the start losing ground and was forced to do the work outside the leader from there coming up short behind stablemate Whos Delight. With a safe beginning he should settle close enough and should be hard to beat in this field. 

DRAGON (2) didn’t have much luck last time out over the 1660 when being caught wide early before being shuffled back and couldn’t get into that race taken out by Our Rocky. He has been racing well and does appear well handicapped in this race. 

MIRACLE MOOSE (6) overcame a 20m handicap last time out to run a good third behind Whos Delight. He has seemingly been racing particularly well recently and should run well again in the small field.

SUGGESTED BET: GREASED LIGHTNIN (3) to win. 

RACE 4 

SERENA LOVE (5) has the draw advantage over her key rivals and can look to hold that advantage in the early stages. She raced without cover last time out and was a very good third behind Nonis Gold Class. She should be hard to beat. 

KICKING HORSE (6) settled leaders back last time out behind Nonis Gold Class and couldn’t quite reel her in late in a race they dashed up a quick last quarter for the trotters. He appears to draw a touch awkwardly. 

LAYDOWNLUNA (10) put in a much better run last time out when running over the top late to score a good win. She may just be better sat up and saves for one run at this stage of her career and can get that opportunity in this race. 

SECOND TO NUN (9) finished fourth last time in a race contested by a number of her key rivals. She draws to do no work early and can look to run on late.

SUGGESTED BET: SERENA LOVE (5) to win. 

RACE 5

LUVN OSMAN (7) zipped across last time out before sitting on Ubetonred in a race they rated quick time for the grade. He draws wide but has good gate speed and can look to press forward again this time and look for a prominent position. 

MIGHTY IDEAL (10) was able to run over the top late and score two starts ago in a genuinely run race before having little luck last time out from an awkward draw. He could be suited by the soft trailing draw. 

PLANET DOWNS (2) has a good draw in this race and good gate speed. He should be able to find the pegs and will have options from there. He ran a reasonable third two starts ago at Redcliffe behind Terragong Swinger. 

TAKE A CHANCE (8) should get a good run through in this race behind GALVARINO (1) who has good gate speed. He ran a good third two starts ago at this track before not being suited last time when back in the field in a slowly run race at Redcliffe.

SUGGESTED BET: LUVN OSMAN (7) to win. 

RACE 6 

POCKET BOOK (9) was running on strongly last time out and just couldn’t quite reel in Bonnies Cam finishing second. She should be suited by the soft trailing draw in this race and can be running on late. 

SHE MAYBE BETTOR (4) sat outside the leader last time out and wasn’t able to reel in Smirks Lika Boss who was really able to dictate terms out in front. She draws well on the front row in this race and should run well again. 

OCTOBER RACKETEER (8) draws quite awkwardly inside the back row in this race but does look one of the class runners. He raced without cover last time out and ran a good sixth not beaten far. 

JIMMY BLING (3) has a good draw in this race and good gate speed which should allow him to find a prominent position early in this race. He ran well two starts ago racing outside the leader over the 2138 and battling on nicely for third.

RACE 7

SWEET DIOR (2) has good gate speed and should be able to work forward and find the lead in this race. She led two starts ago and rated good time out in front to win. She should be hard to beat again. 

HES SWEET (1) draws ideally in this race and should be close enough with a soft run. He ran a good fourth last time out behind Our Rocky who has since won again. He should get every chance. 

UNCLE TONY (4) was forced to sit without cover last time out and battled on very well there to finish third behind Bite The Ear Mike. He should settle close again and can run well. 

GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (8) was able to secure a good run last time out and was running on nicely into third behind O B Legal. Should get a good run behind the speed and can be running on late.

RACE 8

ART JESTER (1) has excellent gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead in this race from a good draw. He led five starts ago and was able to lead all the way rating good time at Marburg. 

OUR SWEET JESS (8) should get a good run behind the speed in this race. She was running on nicely late last time out behind Barracuda over the 2138 at this track. 

CAMERINA (9) secured a good run behind Barracuda last time out into second. She should get a good run off the speed and can be running into it late. 

SCOTTIE MACH (4) returns from a spell in this race. He is a capable horse and did run well in his first start for the stable of John Boserio.
