Form Analysis: Redcliffe September 23

RACE 1 

SCHOONERS (3) has excellent gate speed and should be able to work across to the lead in the early stages of this race. She comes into this race first up from a spell having trialled twice in preparation for her return. She raced in strong company last time in and appears suited in this race. 

MOONSHINE MILLY (2) has seemingly started deliver on the early promise he showed this horse. He has scored back to back wins running over the top late to score both times. He draws ideally again in this race and should be running on late. 

LOSTANDFOUND (1) draws ideally in this race to settle close in the run. Over the 2280 he may look for the trail on class runner SCHOONERS (3) who is likely to be well fancied in this race. He took on a strong race last time out taken out by Pure Grunt and is likely to be a lot better suited in this company.

ROCKIN IN PARADISE (7) looks likely to secure a good run on the pegs in this race. He seems to be a much better horse when able to find the pegs in his races and he could be an improver.

RACE 2 

LITTLE WHIPPET (2) was able to find the front last time out and scored a dominant win there in what may have been a slightly lesser field. He draws well in this race and should be close enough again. 

MISTER DELWIN (6) has an awkward draw in this race but has shown versatility in recent outings showing he can be put into the race when he needs to be. He has run four consecutive seconds including a good second last time out behind Its Back Page News after sitting without cover. 

SNIP OF BEAUTY (4) seemingly drops in class into this race off the back of taking on a number of stronger races at Albion Park. She closed off strongly last time out to run fourth behind Smirks Lika Boss in a race that wasn’t run to suit. 

ERASMUS (1) has good gate speed and the ideal draw in this race. He doesn’t have brilliant gate speed but being at the 2040 start point does allow him the opportunity to drive through and lead.

RACE 3

SHEZ A PUNTER (5) secured a good run close to the speed last time out and was just beaten late by Moonshine Milly who has been in good form. If she can get a good run off the speed in a race which looks likely to generate a good tempo she should be hard to hold out. 

THE HARRIS HAWK (2) has gate speed and may elect to press forward and make the most of his favourable draw in this race. He hasn’t led for quite some time but is seemingly racing well scoring a good win three starts ago at this track. 

TERRAGONG SWINGER (7) was very impressive last time out when continuing his excellent run of form with another win after being forced to do plenty of work in the run. He faces a very tricky inside back row draw this time and will need luck at the right time. 

ULTIMATE ARK (6) draws outside the front row in this race and may be shuffled back in the run. He got back in the run last time out and just couldn’t get into the race there late.

RACE 4 

NOTIONS (9) should get a good run off the speed in this race which she could be suited by. She impressed two starts ago when running over the top late to score a nice win at this track beating what looks to be a smart horse in Northview Cruncha. 

LITTLE SURFER GIRL (7) should get a good run through in this race behind a horse which is likely to be keen to hold a forward position in the early stages. She was well beaten last time out but it wasn’t a race which suited runners off the pegs with the first 3 home all racing on the pegs. 

CHARLIE CHUCKLES (1) has gate speed and may be able to drive through and lead this race in the early stages. He was forced to race without cover last time out and was beaten a long way there behind Keayang Moscato but with a more favourable draw and slightly weaker race he could bounce back. 

DELIGHTFULLY SWEET (5) is starting first up in QLD in this race having trialled up nicely recently at this track. She draws wide in this race and may need a few things to her way in the run.

RACE 5

BLACK GEMSTONE (1) has gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead in this race. She got back from a wide draw last time out and couldn’t get into it late in what was a very slowly run race. 

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (9) draws to do no work in the early stages of this race from a soft trailing draw. He was shuffled back on the pegs last time out before finishing it off well into third in a race taken out by Little Whippet. 

EMMALEEN (4) ran a good fourth last time out at behind Digby Devil in a race they dashed home a reasonable last half for this type of grade. She is likely to get back again and can be running on late. 

HIGHVIEW SADLER (5) wasn’t suited last time out drawing awkwardly in a strong race at Albion Park taken out by Sports Bounty in good time for the grade. He is likely to be shuffled back and can be running on late.

SUGGESTED BET: BLACK GEMSTONE (1) to win. 

RACE 6 

MAHINDI (3) got back in the run last time out in a very slowly run race and was finishing it off well into third behind Stormtide. She should settle in a prominent position in this race and looks one of the better chances. 

BLACKJACK CRIPPA (6) draws poorly outside the front row but does seemingly drop back in grade into this race. He was a good winner five starts ago when getting back in the run from this same draw and finishing over the top late. 

MISS FROUFROU (2) has good gate speed and should settle in a prominent position in this race from a good draw. She trialled up well in a strong trial behind Speak The Truth and Final Deadline. 

HOLD ONTO YA BLING (7) draws to do no work early in this race and has options being the only horse on the back row. If the race is run to suit he can be running on well late.

SUGGESTED BET: MAHINDI (3) to win. 

RACE 7

PLAYING FOR KEEPS (2) secured a good run last time out on the pegs and battled away well in fast time behind stablemate Sports Bounty. She has good gate speed and may be able to press to the early lead which would see her hard to beat.

AQUA CRUISER (1) has been well beaten in recent outings but draws favourably in this race and looks to get an ideal opportunity to bounce back into some form. He should secure a good run just behind the speed and can be running on late. 

SPORTY AZZ (5) appeared to have very little luck last time out at Redcliffe when being caught wide and shuffled back in the early stages before running on well late. He should find this a lot easier and if the race is run to suit he can be running on late. 

THE CASUAL GOOSE (7) draws a touch awkwardly inside the back row in this race. He was excellent two starts ago in the showcase series at Redcliffe when leading and just being nabbed on the line by Foxfire Easton.

RACE 8

MEDELLIN (7) led and won a stronger race last time out at this track. He had impressed his start prior at Albion Park and despite the awkward inside back row draw he looks well suited in this field. 

AUNTY MEL (4) hasn’t been competitive since a very good third leading behind Crusey and Sweet Leah Jane. She has the ability to figure in a race of this nature but would need to bounce back somewhere nearer her best. 

SINKRATE (5) led recently at this track over the 2040 and set a genuine enough tempo there battling on for third late. He looks to find another race h should be able to get forward in and can run well. 

AZZIF (6) led last time out at Marburg and was able to rate good time there when leading all the way. The draw appears to make things tough for her in this race and she may be forced to work or could be shuffled back to last.
