The Q Racing Schedule Update

Date Change for Ipswich Derby and Ipswich Futurity

Racing Queensland advises of scheduling changes to accommodate the upcoming Ipswich Derby, Ipswich Futurity and Lakeside Cup events.

The following feature meetings will be conducted on the following dates:

•    Thursday, 15 October 2026 – Ipswich Derby and Ipswich Futurity Heats

•    Thursday, 22 October 2026 – Ipswich Derby and Ipswich Futurity Finals

•    Thursday, 29 October 2026 – Lakeside Cup Heats

•    Thursday, 5 November 2026 – Lakeside Cup Final

For each of the above weeks, the Q2 Parklands City meeting will transfer to the respective Saturday evening.

Q2 Parklands Saturday Evening Trial

Following the Lakeside Cup Final, Racing Queensland, in consultation with the Queensland Greyhound Racing Club, will commence a trial of Q2 Parklands Provincial racing on Saturday evenings and Q1 Lakeside City racing on Sunday evenings. 

During the trial period:

•    Q2 Parklands Provincial meetings will be conducted on Saturday evenings; and

•    Q1 Lakeside City meetings will move to Sunday evenings.

The trial period will run up to the end of March 2027 and provide Racing Queensland and the Queensland Greyhound Racing Club an opportunity to assess the revised weekend racing schedule and Club operations.
