Form Analysis: Marburg October 18

RACE 1 

BOSTON BLIZZARD (4) ran a good second last time out behind the smart Im Frankee. That looks very strong form for a nature and if she does everything right in this race she is likely to be very hard to beat. 

MANE ATTRACTION (3) stepped and led three starts ago before being run down late in the race finishing second. She did things wrong last time out but has since had a break and should be hard to beat on return in this race. 

POZZI TONOZZI (5) was able to secure a good run close to the speed before running over the top to score. She has done things wrong in recent outings but if she brings her best manners could play a part in the finish. 

STREAK APPEAL (2) trialled up fairly when doing things right in her earlier trials. She is well related behind a half to Thebestbourbon who had good ability.

RACE 2 

SMOKEY BEAR (2) was able to lead last time out and was run down there finishing fourth behind Why Tanya Sue. He looks to find a much easier race and if he can lead again he should be very hard to run down. 

PERFECTLY FRANK (3) trialled up nicely recently in a stand start trial which was taken out by pacer Rostova. If he can step safely and settle close he should run well. 

THE RED MENACE (4) hasn’t been racing well having been beaten a long way in recent outings. He did run a good second at this meeting behind Serena Love and if he could recapture that form he could go close. 

ARIZONA SKYE (1) has ability but has seemingly struggled to put it all together at the races. Three starts ago she ran a good second to No Remorse and a similar effort should see her run well in this race.

RACE 3

WHY TANYA SUE (2) was a very good winner last time out after returning from a long spell there at Albion Park. She is likely to have derived a lot of benefit from the outing and should run a good race in a race she looks well handicapped again. 

KICKING HORSE (3) made a break early last time out which made things tough for him when running into third late. If he can bring better manners early and land a prominent position up on speed he should run well in this race. 

LAYDOWNLUNA (6) should get a good run close to the speed in this race given she is usually a horse which steps nicely from the stand start. She ran a good third last time out in a strong race behind Squamish and Leaf Stride. 

DINGANE (5) found the front last time out and was able to lead all the way there beating Buster Dan. He hasn’t started for nearly a month since that race which does appear a query.

RACE 4 

LOCHINVAR SON (7) was forced to do plenty of work last time out when sitting without cover and battling on for third behind Why Tanya Sue. He looks likely to get a good run in this race and with a similar effort he should be hard to beat in this field.

ITS ALL RIGHT NOW (6) draws awkwardly in this race behind a horse which can do a few things wrong. She ran well into second last time out behind Why Tanya Sue who has always been a smart trotter. 

DOWN SOUTH DAISY (9) took on a very strong race last time out taken out by Pinnie at Albion Park where she was beaten a long way. She returns from a break in this race and finds a race which appears much more suitable. 

GAIT WITH GRACE (3) ran well finishing fourth two starts ago behind Second To Nun. She draws well and should settle close enough in the run.

RACE 5

INSTANT DELIGHT (4) looks well handicapped in this race starting off 10m. She made a break last time out at Albion Park which took her out of play in the early stages of the race. With better manners this time she looks to have strong claims. 

WHIRLWIND WILBUR (5) ran well last time out when finishing fourth not beaten far by Squamish in a strong race at Albion Park. He faces a handicap in this race but with a good beginning can settle close enough and should run well again. 

ALADDIN SANE (1) has a big handicap advantage over a number of his key rivals in this race and can look to begin well and race in a prominent position. He started from a 30m handicap two starts ago and was beaten just 2m there behind Serena Love. 

DAIMYO (3) was able to secure the perfect run behind the leader two starts ago before sprint best to score at Albion Park. He had less luck last time out when making a break early which took him out of play. He looks well handicapped.
