Form Analysis: Redcliffe October 1

RACE 1 

AIMEES ALIAS (3) is having her first run for the stable of Donny Smith in this race. She has some gate speed and should settle in a prominent position from the good draw. 

FORGETTABLE (1) led two starts ago when seemingly getting quite keen out in front before being run down late. He strikes what appears to be a winnable race where he draws best. 

COLT KELLY (6) sat without cover last time out in a very slowly run race and was good to second behind Wheres Dad. He may be forced to do some work again in this race and coming into this having his fourth start he could be ready to peak. 

TASK AT HAND (7) draws well in this race to get a soft run on debut. Trialled up reasonable at Albion Park when finishing seventh behind Big Reputation who came out and won on debut.

RACE 2 

PERFECT LOU (2) has excellent early speed and should be able to drive through and lead in the early stages of this race from a good draw. He was a winner three starts ago when zipping across early before holding off the late challenge of Justanother Torque. 

FRENCH BUBBLES (7) draws to start behind a horse which may be shuffled back a touch early which could make this draw a touch tricky. She was forced to make a wide run into it last time out in a race taken out by ideal Pursuit. She is likely to find this easier and should have derived benefit from the outing. 

FLORAS FOLLY (6) did things wrong last time out after securing a good run behind the leader which saw her settle for fourth. She draws wide this time which looks to make things tricky given her best pattern seems to be driven for one run late which could see her shuffled a long way back. 

SAME OLD DEVIL (9) should get a good run off the speed in this race from a soft trailing draw. He secured a good run last time out close to the speed at Albion Park and was finishing it off well into fourth behind Smirks Lika Boss.

RACE 3

EBONY BELLE (1) has good early speed and should be able to drive through and lead comfortably in the early stages of this race. She led two stats ago fighting on well before being overpowered late by Its One Life who ran out a relatively comfortable winner. She should be hard to run down. 

ROSARITO (7) should get a good run through behind the likely leader in the early stages of this race. He was shuffled three back on the pegs last time out and wasn’t beaten far there behind Its One Life. 

THE REAL ROCKETMAN (9) gets back to a track where he has had good success and looks to be well graded in this race. He is likely to get a soft run early and if the race is run to suit he should be running on well late. 

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (5) raced without cover last time out when looming up and just coming up short behind Tackas Last Dance. He draws wide in this race but has shown he is capable of working in this type of grade and still figuring in the finish.

RACE 4 

THE TIGER ARMY (5) starts first up in this race for the stable of Donny Smith. He has generally been well suited in this type of grade and should be kept safe. 

MAYWYNS KAREN (1) has good gate speed and can lead early before having options from there. She was able to lead recently at this track and was run down by Cheeky Baby who had the perfect trip on her back there. 

BURNS BAY (7) should get a good run through behind a horse which may be keen to hold a forward position in the race. He didn’t have a lot of luck last time out when shuffled back and was running on late. 

MACS A DUDE (2) should secure a good run close to the speed in this race. He was shuffled back last time out and was running on strongly late into third behind She Maybe Bettor.

RACE 5

CALLING BUDDY (5) wasn’t suited last time out when forced to do a lot of work outside the leader in a race taken out by Dragon. He draws awkwardly wide on the track in this race but should find this considerably easier. He should be hard to hold out late. 

MAHINDI (3) led last time out and scored a dominant win leading all the way and beating My Ultimate Victor by a big margin. She draws well in this race and if she was able to find her way to the lead in the early stages she would likely be very hard to run down. 

HES SWEET (2) finds a race where he may be able to work through and lead in the early stages which is a position he has always loved to race in. He does seem to race better over the shorter trips which does pose a query in this race over the 2040. He was able to secure a good run last time out battling on well for third behind Sweet Dior and Uncle Tony. 

KICK THE SWITCH (6) did things wrong two starts ago and as a result finds himself ODM in this race. He then raced without a lot of luck last time out and wasn’t beaten too far behind Our Rocky at Albion Park.

SUGGESTED BET: HES SWEET (2) to win. 

RACE 6 

FAVREAU (2) looks to find another race where he may be able to work to the lead. He was able to lead four starts ago and proved to good in what was a strong effort to rate good time at this track and trip. 

JIVE MASTER (9) ran two good seconds in his latest two outings. His latest second he was able to work into the clear and run on well behind Keayang Moscato. He should run well again. 

HIGHNMIGHTY (8) starts first up in this race for the stable of Donny Smith and has trialled up nicely scoring well. She should get a good run through in this race and can settle close enough to figure. 

OYSTER STRIDE (1) has good gate speed which gives him options early in this race. He does find a strong race and is likely best suited over the shorter prices. He should be thereabouts the minor money.

RACE 7

MERRY JEWEL (3) has good gate speed and should be able to press forward and find the lead in the early stages of this race. She was able to find the front three starts ago leading all the way beating Stormtide who has seemingly returned to form in recent outings. 

MISTER SEASIDE (6) has shown a nice turn of foot at times in his races but just seems to be a horse at this stage of his career that struggles to sustain that high speed he has. If he can secure a good run off the speed in this race and the race is run to suit he should be hard to hold out. 

DELIGHTFULLY SWEET (9) backed up an impressive trial win with an impressive first up win last time out when sitting without cover and just proving too good for Notions. She faces a tough draw in this race in a stronger field but can’t be ruled out off her latest outing. 

THE RIZZLER (1) has poor numerical form and hasn’t won since April but does appear to find a more suitable race where he draws ideally to get a soft run. He was shuffled back last time out and couldn’t get into that race which was taken out by Bart Bartley who raced on speed outside the leader.
