Form Analysis: Redcliffe October 14

RACE 1 

ROCK NIEN (1) has good gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead in the early stages of this race. He secured a good run behind the leader last time out and just couldn’t quite reel in Our Ultimate Milly. He has always run his best races out in front over the mile and looks to find a suitable race. 

MISTER SEASIDE (8) was excellent in defeat last time out when being forced to do it tough and was only run down late by Kick The Switch who had a good run on his back throughout. He should get a good run off the speed and can be running on late. 

DELIGHTFULLY SWEET (3) was forced to race without cover last time out and battled on well for third there behind Our Ultimate Milly in reasonable time for the grade. She looks set to get a good run close to the speed and may be suited by the step back in trip.

MISTER FREEMAN (7) did it tough last time out racing outside the leader and was able to battle on well there for third. He looks set to get an ideal run behind the speed in this race and should be thereabouts with a more economical run..

RACE 2 

MALARKY (2) has some gate speed and may be able to drive through and lead in the early stages of this race. She secured a good run last time out and was running on late in behind Sweet Nellie Joy. 

ROLL TO THE TOP (7) looks very well graded in this race but does draw a touch awkwardly inside the back row in this race. She ran well last time out when running into fourth behind Bart Bentley. 

NAUTIE GALVINATOR (10) looks one of the class horses in this race but draws poorly outside the back row. He ran on well two starts ago into second behind Miss Froufrou in what was seemingly a stronger race. 

THE TORQUE EFFECT (1) led two starts ago and ran poorly there when well beaten. She may just be better suited when driven with a sit and ran a much better race last time out when securing a good run behind the speed on the pegs. 

SELECTIONS: MALARKY (2), ROLL TO THE TOP (7), NAUTIE GALVINATOR (10), THE TORQUE EFFECT (1)

SUGGESTED BET: ROLL TO THE TOP (7) to win. 

RACE 3

THE TIGER ARMY (6) was an impressive winner last time out when doing work in the run and proving far too good for them late. He draws wide in this race but showed last start he is capable of doing work in the run and should be hard to beat again. 

VODKA EN ICE (1) has good gate speed and generally does run well up on speed. He should be able to lead early before having options from there. He finished sixth two starts ago not beaten too far behind Francs For Coming. 

SNIP OF BEAUTY (7) should get a good run through behind a horse which is generally keen to hold a forward position early. She got back in the run last time out and was running on late into fourth behind Rollyarrrz. She looks a great chance of running into the money again. 

WELL SAID NUGGET (8) should get a good run off the speed in this race from a trailing draw which seems to be how he is best suited in his races. He wasn’t quite at his best last time out when well beaten but has had a gap between runs.

RACE 4 

IAM HUGO (7) should get a good run through in the early stages of this race behind a horse which has good gate speed. He raced without luck recently at Albion Park when inconvenienced by a tiring runner at a crucial stage of the race. 

NEED NOT TO WARRY (8) drew outside the back row last time out when shuffled back and couldn’t get into the race when finishing fifth behind Rollyarrrz who was able to find some of his better form leading all the way. He should get a good run off the speed and can be running on late. 

DIGBY DEVIL (5) sat without cover three starts ago and was very good there running third behind Victree Charlie. He finds a suitable race but does draw a touch awkwardly towards the outside of the front row. 

MY SCIMITAR (1) holds the key to the early map in this race with the speed to drive through and lead before having options from there. He drew poorly last time out and was running on well there into fifth not beaten far by Powermove.

SUGGESTED BET: IAM HUGO (7) to win. 

RACE 5

JUKEBOX JET (6) was terribly unlucky last time out when finding trouble at a crucial stage of the race and coming up just short in second behind Rollonx. He should be able to work up into a position on speed in this race and looks hard to beat in this company. 

MAJOR ARK (8) trialled up well finishing second to stablemate Uncut Gem recently at this track. He should get a good run off the speed and can be running into it late. 

CONNIES SPIRIT (2) has excellent gate speed and should be able to zip across early before having options from there. She ran on strongly last time out into third from a long way back in the run in a race taken out by Emmaleen. 

KEAYANG TARA (3) led recently at Albion Park and wasn’t beaten far in second by Doc Harvey who secured the right run on the pegs there. She should be able to find a prominent position again in this race and should run well.

SUGGESTED BET: JUKEBOX JET (6) to win. 

RACE 6 

CALLING BUDDY (6) was able to score a dominant win recently at this track when doing no work early before running over the top and winning by a big margin. He should secure a similar run in this race and will just be relying on a genuine tempo to bring him into the race. 

WELEASE WODDEWICK (5) trialled up well finishing second to Greatgreat Boulder at this track recently. He draws awkwardly wide on the track but looks capable of figuring in a race of this nature with the right type of run. 
 

PRINCESS ARNA (1) should have the speed to drive through and lead before having options from there. She was forced to race without cover last time out in a race taken out by Son Of Xena at Albion Park. 

STORMTIDE (3) has been racing in good form in recent outings including two starts ago when running over the top to score a good win beating Rock Hammer. He draws reasonably and should run well again.

SUGGESTED BET: CALLING BUDDY (6) to win. 

RACE 7

DIGBY JOY (5) drops a long way in grade off some of her recent outings including two starts ago when leading and finishing second to Art Of Rock. She should be able to find a forward position in this race and should run well from there. 

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (3) secured a good run behind the speed two starts ago and was running into third late behind Rollonx. He looks well suited in this race and should be running on late.

BOSTON ASSASSIN (8) loomed strongly last time out before finishing fourth in a race taken out by Rocky Outlook. This race looks more suitable and he should be running on again. 

THE BLACK FOX (1) has been beaten at starting prices of $1.09 and $1.22 in his latest two outings having shown little gate speed early. He is racing well enough to be thereabouts from a favourable draw in this race.

RACE 8

AESTHETE (7) was excellent leading and scoring by a big margin two starts ago at this track. He couldn’t quite back that up last time out when sitting without cover and not quite finishing it off when running second to Rocky Outlook in slow time. He looks likely to be able to get a good run through in this race and can look to bounce back having derived benefit from his recent outing. 

WHAT IS HIS NAME (10) made a break last time out but was able to recover quickly and settle in a similar spot to where he likely would’ve settled. He sprinted up nicely to run over the top and score beating Colt Kelly. He should get a good run off the speed again and can be running on late. 

AUNTY MEL (9) was forced to race without cover last time out when fading into sixth late. She should secure a more economical run this time and should be running into it late from off the speed. 

AZZIF (3) secured a good run behind the speed last time out and wasn’t beaten too far behind Blackjack in what was a stronger race. She should settle close enough from a favourable draw and can be running on late.

SUGGESTED BET: AESTHETE (7) to win. 

RACE 9

DOUBLEFAULT (2) should be able to work to the lead in the early stages of this race which should give him every chance to break his run of four consecutive second placings including a good second last time out behind Cherry Surprise in what became a dash home. 

UNCLE NOLAN (7) burned hard early last time to lead and just couldn’t quite get across before being left without cover and was able to battle on well there for third. He should get a good run through in this race and can be running on late. 

JOVIAL JIM (3) was seemingly a touch disappointing last time out when appearing to have every chance to win what was seemingly quite a moderate race on paper where his stablemate What Is His Name made an early error and was able recover to win. He will need to have derived a lot of benefit from his recent outing to be a winning hope in this race but does have the ability at his best. 

COLT KELLY (1) sat without cover last time out and battled on strongly for second behind What Is His Name. He should secure a soft run behind the speed and can look to run into the placings again.
