Sunshine Coast Turf Club meeting update - October 23

Racing Queensland confirms that a back-up race meeting has been programmed for the Polytrack at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club on Friday, October 23, in the event the club’s race meeting on its course proper on the day is unable to proceed.
In the event the course proper to become unsuitable for racing, a back-up meeting on the Polytrack will be introduced. This transfer, if required, would need to take place prior to scratching time on raceday.
Trainers should note that should the back-up meeting not be required then it will be deleted and there will be no fees applicable for any nominations/acceptances. The back-up race meeting’s program is:
- Benchmark 68 Handicap (1400m) $28,000;
- Benchmark 68 Handicap (1100m) $28,000;
- Class 3 Handicap (1600m) $28,000;
- Benchmark 58 Handicap (2000m) $28,000;
- Benchmark 55 Handicap (1400m) $28,000;
- Benchmark 55 Handicap (1100m) $28,000;
- Maiden Plate (Set Weights) (1400m) $30,000; (QTIS for 3YO) and
- Maiden Plate (Set Weights) (1100m) $30,000; (QTIS for 3YO).
Deadlines for the meeting are as follows:
- Nominations: Monday, 2pm;
- Acceptances: Wednesday, 11am; and
- Jockeys: Wednesday, 1pm.
