Proudly honouring 150 years of racing tradition, this milestone celebration brings together locals, visitors, volunteers and supporters to recognise the heritage, resilience and spirit that have shaped the Isisford Race Club across generations. Join us as we celebrate country racing at its finest - a day of pride, connection and timeless outback character.

This year’s race card showcases a strong line up of regional talent with a five race program, culminating in the Isisford Ross Cup, our signature feature race steeped in local history. Supporting races throughout the afternoon highlight emerging horses, dedicated trainers and long-standing racing families who continue to champion the sport in Western Queensland. With Racing Queensland’s support and local sponsors, the 150 year program reflects both tradition and the bright future of country racing.

Across the grounds, visitors can enjoy a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere with live entertainment, food and bar service, shaded seating and plenty of space to settle in for a great day out. The trackside bar will be staffed by our wonderful volunteers, offering cold drinks and warm hospitality from gates open until the last race is run.

The celebration continues with Fashions on the Field – Vintage Glamour, a special 150 year theme inviting racegoers to embrace heritage style, classic silhouettes and timeless elegance. Prizes and categories will be announced on the day, with judging taking place between races.

A true crowd favourite, the Isisford Steeple Chase is where the community’s competitive spirit shines. Competitors burst from the barriers at full speed, sprinting down the track wearing horse heads and tackling a series of hay-bale jumps that always deliver plenty of laughs and unforgettable moments. This light-hearted race has become one of Isisford’s most iconic traditions, celebrating the fun, creativity and good humour that define outback racing culture.

Entertainment rolls on into the evening with live music from Outback Sound, while the bar and catering stay open until late to keep the celebrations flowing.
