The new Great Northern Crowns bonus initiative, proudly sponsored by Great Northern, will see $1 million in bonus payments add even more excitement to this year’s carnival.
Central & North Queensland will come alight as sprinters and stayers alike take their shot at a $500,000 bonus for winning four respective sprint or cups features throughout the 2026 Northern Winter Racing Carnival.
The Northern Queensland Winter Racing Carnival returns to Mackay on Saturday, July 25 for the running of the $150,000 Mackay Cup.
It was the Tasmanian galloper Hype who reigned supreme in the feature in 2025, now a new crop of contenders vie for their chance at Cup glory.
