ALPHA JOCKEY CLUB– SATURDAY 27th JUNE, 2015

WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – FAST (1)

Race 1: Ballard Transport QTIS Maiden Plate- 1000 metres

ESPRIT LIGHT- Declared a late scratching at 1.06pm when unable to be loaded. Due to extenuating circumstances, a warning would be placed against the mare and a further issue may result in a bar being imposed. Stewards ordered that all bets be refunded with deductions of 16 cents win and 18 cents the place to apply to winning bets.

CHANDLIER LASS- Hung out in the middle stages and raced wide. A warning would be placed on the filly.

OH GOLLY- Began awkwardly and made contact with another runner.

FEAR NONE- A little slow to begin

Race 2: L & L Plant Hire Class 2 Handicap- 1000 metres

DIAMONEEZE- Slow to begin.

PIPPA’S CALL- Trainer C Prow fined $100 for the late declaration of rider. Apprentice L Dodds was permitted to claim 1kg of his allowance.

HEARTY CLANG- Raced wide throughout.

BAILBONDS- Raced wide throughout.

SKAZIA- Correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey R Hancock to view the film with the view to lodge an objection against second placegetter. After doing so, he did not proceed and correct weight was declared.

Race 3: Belyando Bracelet Open Handicap- 1000 metres

IVANHOE- Little slow to begin.

FLIGHT COMMAND- Raced wide throughout.

Race 4: Outback Tyres & Suspension Class B Handicap- 1200 metres

Prior to the last runner being loaded, the barriers opened prematurely. All runners were restrained and on being returned to the barriers, underwent a veterinary inspection and cleared to start.

ELLE STYLE- Stood flat-footed and lost considerable ground prior to jumping. Trainer H Forster was advised the mare would be required to pass two barrier jump-outs prior to its next start.

VICE PRESIDENT- Trainer R Simpson was fined $100 for the late declaration of rider.

GU BRATH- Jumped out onto another runner.

ZAHA COUNTY- Raced wide throughout

I’M MAKING A CLANG- Raced wide throughout.

JUST ONE WISH- Raced in a three wide position until near the 700 metres when restrained to obtain cover.

Race 5: J & J Sypher Contracting BM 70 Handicap- 1200 metres

INDY MISS- Reared over and dislodged the rider on leaving the enclosure. The mare was difficult in its preliminary in proceeding to the barriers. A veterinary inspection cleared the mare to start. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed it to be lame in the off foreleg with a suspected tendon injury. A veterinary certificate would be required prior to its next race start.

AGENT OF MERCY- Slow to begin. Rider reported that from the 400 metres, due the soft track conditions on the inside, shifted out wider.

MAYOR OF CLONMEL- Jumped out and made contact with another runner and lost some ground.

PREEN QUEEN- Lay in near the 800 metres for a short distance and near the 600 metres shifted out across the heels of WIGPOOL.

FAIRBRAE- Slow to begin.

Race 6: J & J Sypher Contracting BM 70 Handicap- 1200 metres

NEPTUNE’S EXPRESS- Jockey S McGovern fined $100 (AR 120(b)) for being overweight. When no other rider was available, he was permitted to retain the ride.

LEO’S SPIRIT- When Apprentice L Dodds could only claim 1kg; he was fined $150 (AR 92(12). Apprentice Dodds pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that near the 700 metres, he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of SECRETS (App S Chan) which was tightened, taken in and had to be checked. HELLUVA HURRY (J Babarovich) was also tightened, checked and lost its rightful running. App Dodds’ licence to ride in races was suspended from m/n 4th July, 2015 up to and including the 18th July, 2015 (2 Central West Qld meetings).

SPIRIT OF MANY- Near the 1400 metres, eased from heels of another runner which lay out slightly.

HIS REDEMPTION- Raced wide throughout.

A DEPENDANT- Raced wide throughout.
