Jockey W. D’Avila advised stewards that due to illness he would be unable to attend today’s meeting. Stewards advised Jockey D’Avila a medical clearance would be required prior to any further race riding engagements.
 
RACE 1: MCMAHONS BETTA HOME LIVING BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1400 M
 
SIZZLING SUN – As W. D’Avila was not riding at today’s meeting the gelding was ridden by jockey Rachel Shred. As the gelding had not raced for an extended period of time it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.
 
BLONDIE’S SECRET – Slow into stride. Raced wide and then raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages of the race.
 
ON THE QUIET – Slow into stride. Raced wide and then raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages of the race. Rider reported on scale the gelding did not feel comfortable on today’s course. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
SHARMAN PETE – Forced wider near the 100 metres by ON THE QUIET.
 
RACE 2: GREAT NORTHERN BULLRIDING SERIES QTIS Maiden Plate 1200 M
 
GEE UP – Began awkwardly and shifted out hampering LOOK ‘N’ WIN.
 
LOOK ‘N’ WIN – Slow to begin then hampered by GEE UP which shifted out.
 
BRAVOS CARLOS – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
RACE 3: BROWN & HURLEY AGRICULTURE CLASS 3 Handicap 1200 M
 
DREAMWOMAN – Slow into stride.
 
GAMADALE NIP – Slow to begin and over-raced in the early and middle stages. Lost its off-hind plate during the race.
 
DESERT GRIT – Over-raced in the early stages. Rider dropped her near side rein for a short distance near the 150 metres.
 
RACE 4: EXPRESSWAY SIGNS & PRINTWORKS CLASS B Handicap 1200 M
 
MUSIC GIRL – Delayed the start when broke through the front of the barriers before being quickly restrained, underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
PELSAERT (NZ) – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start and was slow to begin.
 
ALABAMA MOONLIGHT – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
RACE 5: SERRA DRILLING BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1000 M
 
WRONGFULLY WRONG – Bounded in the air on jumping and began awkwardly shifting out bumping OUR ADDICTION. Raced in restricted room when over-racing near the 800 metres and was restrained and lost ground. Held up for clear running entering the home straight and shifted wider approaching the 100 metres to obtain clear running.
 
LUCKY ROLLA – Slow to begin. Forced wider leaving the 150 metres.   
 
BUFFET BUSTER – Laid in near the 800 metres placing REEMYYA in restricted room.  
 
REEMYYA (NZ) – Tightened for room on jumping between OUR ADDICTION which shifted out and BUFFET BUSTER which shifted in. Raced in restricted room near the 800 metres inside BUFFET BUSTER which laid in and was restrained. Shifted out under pressure near the 150 metres forcing LUCKY ROLLA wider.  
 
OUR ADDICTION – Bumped on jumping and shifted out tightening REEMYYA. Laid out near 800 metres and again entering the home straight. Raced wide for the majority.
