Race 1: Barcaldine Race Club Maiden Plate- 1000 metres

FEAR NONE- Raced wide throughout.

GLENLOTH LASSIE- Raced wide throughout.

Stewards inquired into Jockey N. Day’s use of the whip on SHAKY DUKE. While it was established Jockey Day had used his whip in a forehand manner prior to the 100 metres on more than 5 occasions and on occasions consecutively, Stewards were mindful of his lengthy absence from race riding and issued a reprimand. Jockey Day was advised that a similar breach may attract a penalty.

Race 2: Happy Easter in the Outback BM 55 Handicap- 1000 metres

GO SAI was scratched at the scratching time due to no available rider.

SEQUELENE- Began a little awkwardly.

SPOTTED EAGLE- After not starting since November 2013, underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection and cleared to race. When another runner jumped awkwardly, made contact and lost some ground.

DIAMONEEZE- Slow to begin and raced wide throughout.

Race 3: Happy 60th Mary O’Donnell Open Handicap- 1000 metres

SEAGAL- Kicked rear barrier gate as start was effected and lost some ground.

SECRETS- Slow into stride.

Jockey J Lambie was fined $100 for use of his whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100 metres in a forehand manner and twice consecutively.

Race 4: Walsh Accounting Class 3 Plate - 1100 metres

BILLY JAY- Dipped on jumping. Near the 800 metres, ridden forward in an attempt to take advantage of a run, however when outside runner shifted in, checked and lost ground.

STANDOVER- Near the 800 metres, raced ungenerously for a short distance.

SCHWEIZ- Raced wide throughout.

BELHARI BOY- Bled one nostril. To gallop 1000 metres prior to its next start. App S. Chan reprimanded for use of the whip in a forehand manner prior to the 100 metres on more than 5 occasions.

BOLD DICTATOR- Rider reprimanded for shifting in near the 800 metres.

Race 5: Tom Broughton Memorial BM70 Handicap- 1300 metres

Trainer T Austin had made an error when declaring riders, which resulted in Jockey J Lambie being dually engaged. Shortly after jockey declaration time, Trainer T Austin was permitted to substitute W. Doyle as the rider for FORECLOSURE and N. Day as the rider for SHAFTSMAN.

HEART THROB- Jumped awkwardly in. Raced wide throughout, taken wider leaving the 800 metres.

KEV’S DESTINY- Leaving the 800 metres, hung out and took another runners wider.

FINNIGAN’S FOLLY- Taken wider leaving the 800 metres.

PEACE TALKS- Slow into stride.

FORECLOSURE- Slow to begin and raced wide throughout.
