Race 1: RACE AT OUR PLACE OPEN PLT – 1100M
 
MEDIA VITA – Pulled hard during the early stages.
 
OUR SAY – Jumped awkwardly.
 
Following the running of race 1 the track was downgraded to a Soft 5
 
Race 2: SAVE THE DATE 1 MAY 2021 TOK CUP MDN PLT – 1000M
 
DROGON – Dislodged its rider J Rudd in the parade ring, with jockey Rudd declaring himself fit to ride. Slow to begin. Laid in rounding the home turn. Hung inwards over the concluding stages.
 
SUPER SID – Had to ease off the heels of GET IN THE GROOVE near the 150m.

GET IN THE GROOVE – Laid in over the concluding stages. Rider J Babarovich reported that his mount raced greenly for the majority of the event, placing him at a disadvantage throughout.
 
MISS HISSYFIT – Jumped awkwardly making contact with the inside barrier partition and was slow away as a result. Raced wide throughout.
 
PACQUOLA – Fractious in the gates and was slow to begin as a result.
 
SASSY STYLE – When questioned regarding the poor performance, Jockey/Trainer D Rewald could offer no excuse for the poor performance of SASSY STYLE. He added that his mount was travelling comfortably throughout A post race veterinary examination failed to detect any abnormalities.
 
SHE DEVEL – Failed to muster early speed. Raced wide through early and middle stages.
 
Race 3: BARCY OLD BOYS OPEN HCP – 1600M
 
Correct weight was delayed so the judge and stewards could view the photo finish for 3rd placing. When no margin could be detected between MISNAH and SHOW EM’ for 3rd place, correct weight was declared on the numbers;
 
1st – ESCHIELE
2nd – STYLISH LUCK
3rd – MISNHAH
3rd – SHOW EM’
 
FRENCH HUSSLER – Held up for clear running until near the 200m. Disappointed for a run between MENACING and SHOW EM, who shifted slightly, and had to be steadied for a number of strides. Jockey M Gray (SHOW EM) was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
ARGENTO PERLO – In the vicinity of the 1400m was pushed wider on the track by STYLISH LUCK, who was over racing and as a result had to be checked off the heels of MISHNAH. Continued to pull hard through the middle stages and had to be restrained off the heels of MISHNAH near the 800m.
 
MENACING – Laid in throughout the home straight.
 
STYLISH LUCK – Slow to begin. Overraced through the early and middle stages.
 
Race 4: WALSH ACCOUNTING BM55 HCP – 1200M
 
AMADEO – When questioned regarding the poor performance of AMADEO jockey J Rudd stated his mount felt comfortable during the event, however when AMADEO couldn’t ascertain the lead, it resented racing further back in the field. He added that when he asked AMADEO for an effort rounding the home turn and again shortly after, it failed to respond and as a result, he elected not to place any further pressure on the gelding. Trainer G Rafter could offer no excuse for the poor performance other than concurring with jockey Rudd that AMADEO generally performs better when being able to dictate terms. He added he would undertake to report back to the stewards on the condition of AMADEO in the days subsequent. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
SERPENTI – Jumped inwards contacting BABYLON EXPRESS. When questioned regarding the poor performance, rider D McGillivray stated that SERPENTI pulled hard in the early stages and when attempting to restrain, his mount resented his efforts and as a result elected to allow his mount to stride forward. He added when he asked SERPENTI for an effort rounding the home turn, he failed to respond to his urgings and was proved very disappointing. A post race veterinarian examination failed to detect any abnormalities. Trainer C Austin could offer no tangible excuse for the mare’s disappointing performance and undertook to report back on the condition in the days subsequent.
 
PRIVATE PROFIT – Stood flat footed and missed the start as a result.
 
SNIP ‘N’ DRIFT – Raced wide throughout.
 
HIDDEN CHIEF – Raced fiercely through the early stages and had to be steadied off the heels of ROCKY GAMBLE in the vicinity of the 1000m. Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 5: ROONEY’S STOCKCAMP SADDLERY BM55 HCP – 1200M
 
BURDEN – Laid in near the 100m.
 
LET’S GO CHAMP – Jumped awkwardly
 
LUCKY BEE – Raced wide over the early stages.
 
CHILLI PRAWN – Stood flat footed at the start losing considerable ground. Over raced in the early stages.
 
GREY FALCON – Stewards opened an enquiry into jockey J Babarovich’s riding of GREY FALCON throughout the event. After taking initial evidence from jockey Babarovich and trainer R Little, the matter was adjourned to allow Stewards to view GREY FALCONS previous starts and to conduct betting information on the race. A post race veterinary examination of GREY FALCON failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
SURPRISE SELECTION – Had to be steadied off the heels of the tiring ROCK PAPER SIZZLE near the 150m.
 
TOP EVIE – Shifted out on jumping hampering HOT CHOCOLATE.
 
HOT CHOCOLATE – Hampered on jumping.
 
Race 6: GEORGE BOURNE & ASSOCIATES BM55 HCP – 1600M
 
MISHANI CENTURION – Slow to begin
 
RHYOLA – Slow to begin. In the vicinity of the 300m was disappointed for a run on the inside of HACKSAW RIDGE and as a result had to be steadied off the heels of DARK ARCHER.
 
DARK ARCHER – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and passed fit to start.
 
HUSSON’S SHOUT – Slow into stride.
 
DRAGON IN THE NORTH – Raced in restricted room between the 100m and 800m and had to be steadied for a number of strides when tightened between runners and the fence. Rider B Richardson was momentarily unbalanced in the saddle in this incident.
 
GOLDSAY – Pulled hard in the middle stages.
 
LUBYOUFOREVER – Pulled hard in the early and middle stages. Had to be restrained off the heels of DRAGON IN THE NORTH in the vicinity of the 500m.
 
Race 7: PAT OGDEN FAMILY QTIS BM60 HCP – 1000M
 
Following the declaration of correct weight, Stewards were notified by the Judges that an error had occurred when determining the 4th placegetter. It was identified due to a judging error, BOUND TO ME was incorrectly declared the 4th placegetter when in fact ZENDAYE was the actual 4th placegetter. An inquiry was adjourned to investigate the matter further and interview relevant parties including the Barcaldine Racing Club.
 
WICKED EXPRESS – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
HAZAR – Held up for clear running until the 200m.
 
POINTSTOHAPPINESS – Rider J Rudd reported that his saddle shifted marginally shortly after jumping, placing him at a slight disadvantage for the remainder of the event.
 
BOUND TO ME – Had to be steadied near the 150m when ANGELS OF FENWAY shifted ground and steadied again when ANGELS OF FENWAY shifted inwards near the 100m. Jockey D McGillivray was reprimanded in this incident and advised to show greater effort in keeping his mounts straight at all times.
 
WICKED GRIMSHAW – When questioned regarding the poor performance of WICKED GRIMSHAW, jockey B Richardson stated that her intentions were to lead, however after drawing wide and not showing enough pace to cross the lead, she was forced to race wide as a result. She added that when asking WICKED GRIMSHAW for an effort in the home straight, he responded poorly and as a result, elected to not place her mount under any further pressure.
 
ANGELS OF FENWAY – Slow to begin.
 
DUCK IN DUBAI – Laid in over the concluding stages.
