Race 1: A2 SECURITY BM 50 HANDICAP 1000 metres
ONLY EMMA & NITRO CITY were late scratchings with no riders available.
WHY WOULDN’T YOU – Travelled wide throughout.
FLASH FIBIAN – Fractious prior to jumping, slow to begin and travelled wide for much of the event.
ASBURY PARK – Jumped away awkwardly.
ALGEROBA – Slow to begin and slow into stride.
Race 2: HOOF CENTRAL OPEN HANDICAP 1000 metres
STAR OF O’REILLY – Travelled wide in the middle stages and lay in down the home straight.
ZUKAZ – Travelled wide for much of the race.
LINE UP – Slow to begin.
KALMAR & BURDEN – Bumped shortly after the start.
Race 3: SMITH BROS. LONGREACH MAIDEN PLATE 1200 metres
ORDERS – Pulled the bit through its mouth shortly after the start proving difficult to ride out. Passing the finishing post, the saddle had slipped, dislodging jockey Scott Sweedman, landing on his back and shoulder. He was attended to by ambulance officials and stood down for the remainder of his engagements. S. Sweedman was advised he would need a medical clearance before riding again.
OUR YOUNG MAN – Slow to muster early speed.
PRIZED ARTIST – Jumped away awkwardly contacting ALL SORTED.
ROYO – Galloped onto heels leaving the 600m and had to be eased.
ALL SORTED –Heavily contacted at the start.
WAS MET – Jockey B. Richardson was reprimanded for using the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m under AR132(7)(a)(ii).
Race 4: THE BRANCH CAFÉ CLASS B HANDICAP 1200 metres
There was a delay to the start of race four to allow time for jockey S. Sweedman to be treated by ambulance officials.
DEVIL’S NUMBER was a late scratching with no riders being available.
MRS SENNA – A late scratching at 2:09pm with S. Sweedman being stood down for the remainder of the day.
REAL HUSSEY -- Jockey B. Richardson was fined the sum of $200 for using the whip on 8 occasions prior to the 100m under AR132(7)(a)(ii).
RED ZORRO – Shifted in momentarily near the 350m hampering REAL HUSSEY before being straightened.
IRISH RAIDER – Contacted at the start.
SET TO FIGHT -- Jockey R. McMahon was reprimanded for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m under AR132(7)(a)(ii).
REALLY REALLY GOOD – Stood flat footed losing considerable ground.
MIKKI’S MISTRESS – Jumped away awkwardly contacting another runner then over race in the early stages.
LOVE YOU LINDA – Lay in down the home straight. Jockey M. Gray was reprimanded for using the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m under AR132(7)(a)(ii).
Race 5: SHEEHAN EVENTS CLASS 6 PLATE 1200 metres
MUSIC AWARD was a late scratching with no rider available.
TOURMASTER was a scratching at 2:09pm with S. Sweedman being stood down for the remainder of the day.
ARCHADE – Contacted shortly after the start.
DISCO MO – Slow to begin.
SCENIC SIGHT – Shifted in shortly after the start contacting ARCHADE.
Race 6: CENTRAL WEST RURAL QTIS RATINGS BAND 0 – 55 HANDICAP 1300 metres
LASCO was a scratching at 2:09pm with S. Sweedman being stood down for the remainder of the day.
BLADE MAN – Travelled 3 deep for much of the race.
GOD’S PENNY – Slow to begin, contacted the inside running rail on several occasions near the 700m when contacted by an outside runner.
GEKKO – Lost an off-hind plate shortly after the start.
PORTABELLE – Jumped away awkwardly bumping AMADEO, lay in rounding the 800m turn bumping GOD’S PENNY on several occasions.
DALBERGIA & NIGHT IN PARADISE bumped on jumping.
NIGHT IN PARADISE – Placed awkwardly onto heels at the 1100m when over racing.
SIZZLESUN – Awkward to begin, showing no early pace, held up for clear running in the home straight before being maneuvered wider at the 300m. Laid in when placed under pressure.
AMADEO – Contacted at the start.
Race 7: SAUNDERS ELECTRICS OUTBACK RACING SHOWCASE (HEAT) OPEN HANDICAP 1300 metres
There was a delay to correct weight as jockey E. Bell requested to see the photo finish print for first & second place prior to correct weight being given. After reviewing the print correct weight was given on the judge’s placings.
D. Rewald was the rider of GYPSY BIKER and permitted to rider 1 kg overweight.
R. McMahon was the rider of SURPRISE SELECTION and permitted to ride 2kg overweight.
FAB’S COWBOY – Jumped outwards contacting LIVE AND FREE.
LIVE AND FREE – Contacted at the start losing ground.
GRAND SYMPHONY – Travelled wide for much of the race.
TRUMP ME – Jumped outwards bumping WICKED WENCH.
GYPSY BIKER – Jumped inwards contacting WICKED WENCH. Jockey D. Rewald was reprimanded for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m under AR132(7)(a)(ii).
WICKED WENCH – Buffeted between runners on jumping.
