Race 1: BUNDABERG PROPERTY GALLERY PLATE MAIDEN SET WEIGHTS - 850m

The start of this race was delayed when MONIIKA was unable to be loaded into the barriers. The filly was declared a late scratching at 1:20pm by order of stewards. All monies invested on MONIIKA were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on the winner and place-getters prior to 1:20pm.

5 cents in the dollar for the win.
6 cents in the dollar for the place.

Trainer D. Gardiner was advised MONIIKA must obtain a barrier certificate prior to its next race.

CRAIGLEA ARNIE - Slow to begin. Rider questioned on today’s performance, Jockey S. Bayliss stated the colt was climbing in its action in the early stages of the event placing him back in the field and not settling. S.Bayliss further added that the colt was having its first start on the sand track and didn’t handle the going also resenting the kickback. A post race veterinary exam revealed no abnormalities.

CHOICE AFFAIR – Shifted out at the start bumping another runner.

HALLE CAT – Raced wide throughout.



Race 2: SUNCORP AGRIBUSINESS PLATE (QTIS CLASS 3 SET WEIGHTS) - 850m

TYCOON ANNIE - Slow to begin.

KROSS REFERENCE - Began awkwardly.

CRABBING – Forced wider rounding the home turn.

PRETTY KITTY - When App L. Dodds was to be overweight, permission was given for App Dodds to claim only 1kg of his 2kg allowance. App Dodds was fined $100 under A.R. 92(12) for failing to claim his full allowance.



Race 3: PERFECTION FRESH PATRON'S TROPHY OPEN HANDICAP - 1090m

BLAZE TO FORTUNE – Slow to begin.

UNIQUE FUSE – Slow to begin.

OUTBACK LIGHTNING – Wide throughout.

BASE JUMP – Held up for clear running from the 250m – 150m

App N. Summers fined $200 under A.R. 144 for failing to weigh in for 3rd.



Race 4: PACIFIC GOLD MACADAMIAS CLASS B HANDICAP- 1090m

METALLIC POINT – Lost off fore plate on way to the barriers and was unable to be re-shod. Stewards allowed the filly to start without the off fore plate attached. Raced wide rounding the home turn.

YOU'LL HAVE TO – Slow to begin.

BALKANS CLANG – Shortly after the start had to ease when tightened for room.

LE BASTILLE – Raced wide throughout.

MR DELTORO – Raced wide rounding the home turn.



Race 5: CHALET MOTOR INN BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP - 1380m

REDWIN - was declared a late scratching at 1:00pm on vet’s advice due to suffering from an infection.

MAFIA PRINCESS - was declared a late scratching at 1:10pm on vet’s advice due to sustaining an injury in transit to the course.

BALINESE BOY – Slow to begin

ZINDABLAKE – Hung out from the 800m - 400m.
