GENERAL
 
The following horse was declared a late scratching by Stewards at 11.15 am due to no rider being available at the meeting:
Race 5: GRINZINGER BISHOP (NZ).
 
Due to the shortage of riders at the meeting, Stewards permitted the following late rider replacements:
Race 5: SHISUTA BO – Jockey C Bryen to replace Jockey J Keating.    
              IOANE (NZ) - Jockey J Keating to replace absent Jockey S Galvin.
 
Jockey S Galvin did not attend today’s meeting due to acceptable reasons.
 
 
Race 1: SPARRA & NICHOLLS DIESEL CONTRACTING & BUTLER AGENCIES MAIDEN PLATE (3YO & UP) 1000 Metres
 
EXCEPTIONAL RUPERT – Began awkwardly and bumped SIMPLY SMASHING.
 
KAL IT MAGIC – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow into stride. Raced wide throughout the event. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
SIMPLY SMASHING – Bumped on jumping.
 
 
Race 2: MITECH & HARRIS ROAD CONTRACTORS & BLACKETT HELICOPTERS RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1000 Metres
 
SUPER EXCEPTIONAL – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
FORGETABOUTIT – Began awkwardly and shifted in on jumping. Shifted out passing the 100m.
 
DANCER FOR MONEY – Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority of the event. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey J Doyle reported that DANCER FOR MONEY travelled well throughout the event but failed to respond to her riding when placed under pressure in the home straight and proved to be disappointing.
 
 
Race 3: BROOK PASTORAL KAMARAN DOWNS & HASTINGS DEERING QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE (3YO & UP) 1200 Metres
 
FRAWLEY – Blundered on jumping.
 
PRIVATE TENDER – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
FOREVER A DIAMOND – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey J Keating reported that in his opinion the mare was not suited by todays racing surface.
 
MLINZI – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout the event. Apprentice Jockey A Brennan reported that in her opinion the mare was not suited by todays racing surface.
 
 
Race 4: TULLY BRACELET OPEN PLATE 1100 Metres
 
MR EVANS – Blundered on jumping.
 
LUCKY FORTUNA – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.
 
CRIPPS TONITE – Began awkwardly. Weakened over the concluding stages.
 
MIAMI VICE – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout the event.
 
 
Race 5: G.B.A. CONSULTING ENGINEERING BEDOURIE CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1600 Metres
 
Prior to the start of this race, after a comment from a trainer to Stewards alluding to the condition of the track surface, Stewards consulted with all trainers and jockeys regarding the state of the track. After discussing what actions could be taken to make the track surface firmer it was decided that the race would proceed with no remediation works to be attempted on the racing surface and Stewards, trainers and jockeys were satisfied for the race to be conducted.
 
SHISUTA BO – Due to a shortage of riders at today’s meeting, Stewards acceded to a request from Trainer K Healy for Jockey C Bryen to replace Jockey J Keating as the rider of the mare. Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
 
IOANE (NZ) – Due to a shortage of riders at today’s meeting, Stewards acceded to a request from Trainer K Healy for Jockey J Keating to ride the gelding. Began awkwardly.
 
BAROCCO BAR – Began awkwardly. Jockey J Doyle pleaded guilty to a charge pursuant to AR131(c) in thatshe did make a celebratory gesture prior to her horse passing the winning post and was fined $200.
 
RHESUS – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin and lost ground. Raced wide throughout the event.
