Race 1: XXXX QTIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE – 1050M

BINDA BOY – Slow to begin.

FLASH DRAGON – Became unbalanced approaching the 100m and had to be steadied.

LIGHTNING MELD – Shifted out at the 500m, hampering another runner. Shifted out under pressure near the 100m.

SLIPPERY SAGA – Began awkwardly, inconvenienced when bumped by another runner and lost considerable ground. Had to be steadied from heels near the 500m. Held up for clear running for a short distance rounding the home turn and then raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 100m.

CHRISTIES JOY – Overraced in the middle stages and had to be steadied from heels.

ISACCUSED – Slow to begin. Commenced to hang out approaching the 600m and had to be steadied.

MISTIE RUBIE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.

PETITE CLEO – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.

Race 2: XXXX QTIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE – 1050M

As B. Stewart was to be overweight, B. Grylls was substituted as the rider of SAGAMAMA. B. Stewart was fined $200.

GO ON RED – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.

SAGAMAMA – Began awkwardly.

ORADONNA – Had to be steadied shortly after the start when tightened for room between runners. Overraced in the early stages.

TROPICAL – Turned its head as the start was effected and lost ground. Shifted out leaving the 500m, forcing another runner wider.

MUSTANG JACK – Hung out rounding the home turn.

WIG WAM BAM – Raced wide throughout. Forced wider leaving the 500m.

Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to GOOD 3.

Race 3: BEAUDESERT TIMES MAIDEN PLATE – 1050M

JACKY LEGS – Raced wide throughout.

MYSTICAL HAIL – Slow to begin.

SON OF EDEN – Hung in under pressure over the concluding stages.

HIDDEN LOVE – Bumped by another runner on jumping away.

SHESABREEZE – Had to be steadied near the 400m when racing in restricted room.

Race 4: QPSIG MAIDEN PLATE – 1650M

GRAZIO – Slow to begin. Raced wide rounding the first turn. R. Wiggins was cautioned in regards to his use of the whip on a horse out of contention.

CASHINKO – Tightened for room at the start. Raced wide rounding the first turn.

ASSERTIVE LOVE – Blundered on jumping away.

DANZER GIRL – Tightened for room at the start. Hung in near the 200m and had to be checked away from the heels of a tiring runner.

JALAURABEL – Bumped heavily at the start and had to be restrained when severely tightened for room between runners.

MISS WONDERFILLY – Began awkwardly and shifted out making heavy contact with JALAURABEL. Had to alter course near the 200m when another runner checked off heels.

SILK AND SATIN – Raced wide rounding the first turn. Raced ungenerously in the middle stages.

GODZONE GIRL – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Commenced to compound leaving the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 5: BEAUDESERT SOFT DRINKS C,G&E RATINGS BAND 0-70 H'CAP – 1050M

ROMBA TOM – Bumped heavily leaving the 1000m. Tightened onto another runner rounding the home turn.

RAPT IN RUMBA – Late scratching at 1.25 pm on veterinary advice after being found to be lame in the near foreleg. Trainer K. Geran will be required to produce a veterinary clearance for the horse before its next start.

ALI MOUNTAIN – Shifted out rounding the home turn and tightened another runner.

CEARNACH – Shifted in leaving the 1000m, making heavy contact with another runner. T. Treichel was advised to show greater care. Raced wide throughout.

Race 6: RAILWAY HOTEL F&M RATINGS BAND 0-70 H'CAP – 1050M

MOONLIGHT NOVA – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

SASSY TYCOON – Slow to begin then tightened for room between runners shortly after the start and had to be restrained.

HAKKASAN – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Shifted in abruptly when placed under pressure near the 150m, making heavy contact with SAGACIOUS FLAME.

ZAGAZIG – Rider A. Spinks reported that his mount had a tendency to lay out throughout the event and was not comfortable on the tight turning track.

SAGACIOUS FLAME – Bumped heavily near the 150m.

Race 7: BARRIER REEF POOLS CLASS 5 H'CAP – 1200M

As R. Wiggins was to be overweight, B. Grylls was substituted as the rider of PANDORA CHARM. R. Wiggins was fined $200.

BUSH CAVIAR – Hung out approaching the 600m.

RAINBOW MAGIC – Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the horse’s performance, rider J. Kokotajlo stated that after being slow to begin he was obliged to race further back in the field than the horse is accustomed to and was unable to improve in the middle stages until entering the home straight where the horse found the line strongly. His explanation was noted.

SINGLE CHANCE – Began awkwardly.

ONE TO GO – Bumped at the start. Raced three wide without cover throughout.

NAKANAI – Steadied when another runner hung out approaching the 600m.

LANDALE – Steadied when another runner hung out approaching the 600m.

Race 8: TRADE ALLIANCE CLASS 3 PLATE – 1650M

CHILLI BEACH – Severely interfered with on jumping away when tightened for room between DANISH HOMBRE, which shifted out, and LIGHTNING DRIFT, which began awkwardly and shifted in.

GLAMORGAN BABE – Bounded in the air at the start and lost ground. Shifted out approaching the winning post on the first occasion when not clear of DANISH HOMBRE, which was forced out and continued to be shifted wider on the track, resulting in CROCKETT’S MISTAKE, which was racing to the outside of DANISH HOMBRE, having to be checked and shift wider on the track to avoid that horse’s heels. Apprentice B. Ainsworth pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that she failed to make sufficient effort to prevent her mount shifting out at that point and her licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 6 meetings, to commence at midnight on Saturday, 9 May, and expire at midnight on Saturday, 23 May 2015. Of further concern to the stewards was apprentice Ainsworth’s lack of action to prevent her mount from shifting out and as such her riding will be referred to the Riders Advisory Panel for consideration.

Race 9: PSP VIDEO CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1400M

Correct weight was delayed when T. Treichel, the rider of 3rd placegetter VIMZIG, wished to view the film to ascertain whether he had grounds on which to lodge an objection against 2nd placegetter RISING LUCK. After viewing the film it was established that leaving the 200m VIMZIG was momentarily tightened for room between CHEEKYBOI and RISING LUCK, both of which shifted ground slightly, however bearing in mind the finishing margin jockey Treichel elected not to proceed with the objection and correct weight was declared on the Judge’s numbers.

RISING LUCK – Bumped on jumping away.

ALPINE STYLE – Began awkwardly.

SEE CRUISE – Leaving the 200m had to be steadied to avoid the heels of RAINY GREY, which initially shifted in under pressure and then shifted out.

GOLDIES RETURN – Bumped on jumping away.

LEUROCITY – Began awkwardly.

CHEEKYBOI – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event.
