Race 1: GLOBAL MEDI-VET PTY LTD QTIS 2YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 1050M
 
Trainer T. Timbery was fined $100 for the late declaration of M. Shimodaira as the rider of MOSSAMEANIE.
 
CONQUER THE STARS – Bucked approximately 50m after the start, dislodging its rider. Connections were advised that the gelding must barrier trial satisfactorily before being permitted to race again. Apprentice Willoughby was assessed by QAS personnel and passed fit to fulfil her remaining engagement.
 
JIULIANO – Momentarily steadied from heels approaching the 800m and began to overrace. Apprentice C. Gallagher reported that his mount had raced greenly in the early and middle stages.
 
MOSSAMEANIE – Forced wider on the track and had to check away from WE WANT IT ALL near the 800m.
 
TROOPER KELLY – Reluctant to load, delaying the start. Connections were advised that a warning will be placed on the colt’s barrier manners. Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Hampered near the 800m.
 
HILLSIDE FANDANGO – Steadied from heels when racing greenly approaching the 800m and shifted wider on the track.
 
HANNAH’S SONG – Overraced and raced greenly in the early stages.
 
WE WANT IT ALL – Hampered near the 800m.
 
Race 2: GMV EQUINE VETERINARY PRODUCTS CLASS 5 H’CAP – 1200M
 
Trainer M. Dunn was fined $100 for the late declaration of C. Gallagher as the rider of BANCROFT.
 
I LIKE CANDY – Began slowly, losing considerable ground.
 
KOOKIECUTTER – Slow to begin. Raced three wide throughout.
 
HIDDEN LOVE – Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 3: MEDI-PRO SPORTS TAPES & BANDAGES MAIDEN H’CAP – 1050M
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to enable the connections of the 2nd placegetter to view the photo finish print, and when satisfied, correct weight was declared on the Judge’s numbers.
 
LOTS OF PROMISE was declared a late scratching at 12:46 pm by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice that the horse had sustained an eye injury whilst being floated to the track.
 
BALLY BEHOYD – Began awkwardly, losing ground. Apprentice J. Hodge was reprimanded under AR. 137(a) in that he was careless in allowing his mount to shift ground over the concluding stages and hamper another runner.
 
SUPERVISOR – Inclined to hang in slightly over the concluding stages and was also hampered by BALLY BEHOYD, which was laying in, over the final 80m.
 
LITTLE ALBERT – Hampered shortly after the start when obliged to steady from the heels of NOBBY’S GIFT. L. Dittman, the rider of NOBBY’S GIFT, was advised to exercise greater care when crossing.
 
Race 4: CARLITA BUCHANAN TAX & ACCOUNTANCY QTIS 3YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 1050M
 
As apprentice J. Bayliss was indisposed due to illness, A. Spinks was substituted as the rider of SWIFTLY MANGO.
 
BIG BISCUITS – Began slowly. Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
ENTERPRISE LOU – Hampered on jumping. L. Dittman reported at scale that his mount’s breathing appeared abnormal. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
STARCASTER – Began awkwardly and was tightened shortly after. Overraced in the early stages and was then obliged to race three wide throughout. Hampered when leaving the 200m. Rider F. Jervis reported that her saddle shifted in the run to the finish, placing her at a disadvantage.
 
DROPS OF JUPITER – Shifted out leaving the 200m before being corrected by its rider.
 
HEY DORIS – Apprentice C. Gallagher reported at scale that his mount felt awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
SMART CHER – Blundered on jumping and failed to muster early speed.
 
Race 5: GMV EQUI-PLAST, MEDI-VET WRAP & SYRINGES BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 2450M
 
As R. Plumb was unable to arrive on course in time to fulfil his engagement, L. Rolls was substituted as the rider of SIR CASS.
 
YOU ES COMMANDER – Unable to obtain clear running between the 600m and the 400m.
 
LEPRECHAUN LAD – Overraced in the early stages and when awkwardly placed at heels was then obliged to improve three wide before reaching the lead approximately 1900m from home.
 
SIR CASS – Raced wide in the early stages of the event. Overraced and shifted wider on the track approaching the 1200m.
 
MONACO MIRACLE – Overraced in the early stages. The rider then elected to improve three wide, occupying a more forward position with a lap remaining.
 
Race 6: MEDIPROSPORTS.COM.AU CLASS 2 PLATE – 1650M
 
PEXBURY AVENUE – Overraced in the middle stages.
 
SOCIAL CONQUEST – Shifted out under pressure over the final 150m.
 
VALTARI – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
CASINO EVIL – Raced wide in the early stages before finding a forward position approaching the 1200m.
 
KIRA’S BEAT – Caught wide before obtaining a three wide position with cover approaching the 700m.
 
WHITMAN – Fractious in the barriers. Jumped awkwardly.
 
CELESTIAL GREY – Raced three wide without cover.
 
Race 7: GMV WHOLESALE VETERINARY SUPPLIES BENCHMARK 55 H’CAP – 1200M
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to enable apprentice C. Gallagher, the rider of 4th placegetter DRUM MASTER, to view the stewards’ patrol footage in the straight to determine whether he had grounds on which to lodge an objection against the 2nd placegetter. After viewing the videos apprentice Gallagher indicated that he did not wish to lodge an objection and correct weight was declared on the Judge’s placings.
 
GOULDIAN – Slow to begin.
 
SACRAMONTE – Raced three wide throughout.
 
DRUM MASTER – Bumped near the 200m.
 
P’ARTIE TOWN – Slow to begin. Hung in, got its head up and raced ungenerously over the final 200m.
 
GOLDEN SUNSET – Began awkwardly and made contact with the barrier partition.
 
ADJOURNED – Shifted out and bumped another runner near the 200m.
 
KONKOTA – Forced wider by another runner approaching the home turn.
