GENERAL

As Rider D. Turner was overweight, he was replaced by L. Tilley as the rider of EXCLUSIVE ONE in Race 5. Rider D. Turner was fined $200 pursuant to AR190(3) for accepting a ride for which he was overweight.

Stewards approved the following overweights:

Race 5: M. Butler +1kg (55)


Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN PLATE 1650 M

ELROY - Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

HOLY STEPS - Began awkwardly and bumped ALKEBULAN. Raced keenly in the early stages and passing the winning post on the first occasion was steadied from heels.

MAHMOA (NZ) – Knuckled on jumping. Raced wide in the early stages. When asked to comment on the performance, rider L. Tilley reported he intended to be forward in today’s event, however after knuckling on jumping, he lost ground and when riding to obtain a forward position, was then caught wide in the early stages, which he felt proved detrimental to the gelding’s finishing efforts.

PRINCE SEVRES – Bumped at the start. Near the 1000m was steadied from the heels of TOO MARS.

VICTORY LINK – Began awkwardly and bumped PRINCE SEVRES. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion was steadied from the heels of PRINCE SEVRES when over racing. Rider M. Hellyer reported at scale his mount was stepping short upon pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer M. Morgan was advised VICTORY LINK would require a veterinary certificate prior to racing again. M. Morgan advised Stewards it was the intention to now retire the gelding.

WASAI - Raced wide without cover for the majority. When asked to comment on the performance, rider J. Franklin reported that from the wide gate, he was unable to find cover and was caught wide throughout, which he felt had a detrimental effect on the performance.

ALKEBULAN - Bumped at the start. Raced wide in the early stages before being permitted to stride and lead passing the 900m.

TOO MARS - Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the home straight, proving difficult to be fully tested by its rider.


Race 2 - MEN MATTER 24 OCT BM65 HANDICAP 1650 M

CAPO STRADA - Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced three-wide from the 800m.

THE CATCH - Fractious in the barriers.

NAVY NINA (NZ) - Rider D. McGillivray dropped his whip passing the 300m.

BATE - Began awkwardly.

THE TORQUE FACTOR - Raced keenly in the early stages and was obliged to race three wide from the 1000m when NAVY NINA improved to its inside. Laid in when placed under pressure in the straight.

PIREONTI - Lost the off-fore plate.

MAURITA - Near the 1300m steadied when racing tight for room to the inside of NAVY NINA, which was taken in by BATE (E. Lang) before being corrected by its rider. Rider E. Lang was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.


Race 3 - XXXX CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1200 M

OUTAKANDY - Began awkwardly and lost ground.

CERTIFIED COPY- Laid out rounding the home turn.

COOL PANELS – Bumped at the start by CERTIFIED COPY and then crowded for room shortly afterwards.

VACILLATION – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages.

ESPRIT DU JOUR - Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Leaving the 200m buffeted and checked when tightened for room. At a subsequent inquiry, Stewards established that leaving the 200m, MUSIC FEVER (A. McColm) initially made slight contact with ESPIRIT DU JOUR (W. Galloway), which then made slight contact with OUTAKANDY (J. Guthmann-Chester) which was shifting out to improve, causing ESPIRIT DU JOUR to be buffeted between MUSIC FEVER and OUTAKANDY, before being checked from the heels of OUTAKANDY. On the balance of the evidence, Stewards issued J. Guthmann-Chester, the rider of OUTAKANDY, a severe reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a). In arriving at this decision, Stewards considered the poor evidence tendered by apprentice W. Galloway who had only been riding for a short period of time and the available patrol footage. Stewards whilst noting apprentice W. Galloway (ESPIRIT DU JOUR) relative inexperience, in the presence of Mr R. Fradd, Racing Queensland training officer, reminded W. Galloway that his evidence must be of a better standard going forward.

DESTINYS SUMMIT – Steadied from the heels of VACILLATION shortly after the start. Laid in during the early stages of the home straight and approaching the 100m, was momentarily steadied away from ESPRIT DU JOUR.

THUNDEROUS - Began awkwardly.


Race 4 - TAB BEAUDESERT CUP 21 NOV MAIDEN HANDICAP 1100 M

JOHNNY SPARKLE – Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced greenly in the home straight.

STAR OF PARIS (NZ) - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having raced for an extended period. Slow into stride. Held up for clear running for a short distance leaving the 500m. Rider D. Moor reported it was his intention to settle in a forward position, however after the mare was slow to begin, settled in a mid-field position, and after being held up approaching the home turn, was unable to build momentum which he felt was detrimental to the finishing performance.

PIETARI – Raced three-wide without cover throughout.

SPOILT ROTTEN - Trainer M. Nolan was severely reprimanded pursuant to AR106(2) for presenting the gelding to race in winkers which are not a part of its declared gear.

KASUMI - Underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers after contacting the rail leaving the mounting yard. Raced wide throughout. Laid in, in the early part of the home straight.

GODDESS MINERVA - Slow to begin.


Race 5 - BEAUDESERTRACECLUB.COM MAIDEN HANDICAP 1100 M

STAR OF ASCOT - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination having not raced for an extended period due to a near fore tendon injury.

TURF GAZETTE - Underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers after a small amount of blood was noted in the gelding’s mouth. Raced wide throughout.

BELLOUISE - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after arriving late on course. Stewards reminded C. Geran of his obligations to have horses on course by the prescribed time and if there is any cause for delay to notify Stewards. Co-Trainer C. Geran was fined $100 pursuant to AR65(1) for failing to produce the thoroughbred identification card of BELLOUISE. Rider N. Tomizawa reported the mare, which was having its first start, raced greenly throughout.

EMPHATIQUE – Slow to begin. Obliged to shift wider leaving the 400m to obtain clear running.

OUR COMBINATION – Held up for clear running for a short distance approaching the 400m. Held up for clear running approaching the home turn until near the 200m.

EXCLUSIVE ONE - Began awkwardly and then steadied from heels shortly after the start.

ADORA DJON'S - Began awkwardly.

KRASAKI - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination having raced at the Gold Coast on September 12th, 2026.

INSAIN LADY – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages and approaching the 800m had to be steadied from heels.

EGYPTIAN GODDESS - Raced keenly in the early stages.

OAKFIELD GALAXY - Began awkwardly.


Race 6 - HOME OF COUNTRY RACING RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1100 M

Prior to the declaration of correct weight, A. Butler the rider of ROCKRATA, placed second, requested to view the judge’s photo finish image. Upon review of the photo, A. Butler was satisfied with the judge’s placings and correct weight was declared.

ELECTROMAGNETIC – Slow to begin.

INQUISITOR - Apprentice A. Graham was harmlessly dislodged on pulling up.

STABILIZER - Laid in under pressure leaving the 200m and when being corrected, rider N. Fazackerley dropped his near side rein approaching the 100m before regathering near the 50m.

TOP BIRD - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after slipping over in the race day tie ups. A further veterinary examination behind the barriers cleared the mare to race. Began awkwardly.

TORVECCHIO – Shifted in on jumping. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide without cover throughout. Steadied approaching the winning post when racing in restricted room.

ZHONGXIN KOALA - Held up for clear running from passing the 600m until entering the home straight.

CALVARY - Raced wide throughout. When asked to comment on the performance, apprentice A. McColm stated he was obliged to race wide, which in his opinion, had a detrimental effect on the gelding’s finishing efforts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

THE BOSS MAN - Bumped by TORVECCHIO at the start and lost ground.

MISS WATERLINE - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination having raced at Dalby on September 13th, 2026, and was found to be lame in the off foreleg. MISS WATERLINE was subsequently declared a late scratching at 2:21pm. Trainer T. Hargrave was advised the mare would require a veterinary certificate prior to racing again.

Following the running of this race, Stewards upgraded the track to a Good 3 at 3:18pm.


Race 7 - FIRST MATES LOUNGE @ MEN MATTER RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1400 M

ZAYYANO (NZ) – Raced wide throughout. When questioned regarding his riding of the gelding and if there was an opportunity to obtain a position closer to the running rail, apprentice W. Galloway stated that in attempting to ride for a forward position, runners to his inside improved and when the gelding commenced to race keenly, he was unable to come back and obtain cover. Stewards noted the explanation.

ARCHERS REIGN - Raced wide from the 800m when HAWAIIAN BLOOM shifted out.

HAWAIIAN BLOOM - Began awkwardly. Near the 1100m commenced to race fiercely and near the 800m had to be restrained and shift out to avoid the heels of AZUKI. Hung out from the 600m until entering the home straight. Trainer R. Beaton was advised a warning would be placed on the mare for its racing manners.

LORD DANILO – Slow into stride.

MOET AT MIDNIGHT – Slow to begin.

INTRECCIATO - Rounding the home turn shifted out to improve, taking ARCHERS REIGN wider on the track. Rider K. Zechner was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding.

RAZOR'S MAGIC - Knuckled on jumping.

PEACH GALANTES – Began awkwardly.

ROARING SUCCESS – Leaving the 400m shifted out to obtain clear running and then forced wider on the track by HAWAIIN BLOOM which hung out.

MAGGIE ROSE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination having raced at Dalby on September 13th, 2026.


Race 8 - BEAUDESERT RACEDAY 24 DEC RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1400 M

LITTLE VAIN - When questioned regarding LITTLE VAIN racing in a forward position, which was in contrast to the most recent starts, rider N. Tomizawa stated that the instructions today were similar to the recent runs, to pressure the gelding from the barriers in an attempt to race in a forward position. He added that the gelding had been slowly away last start and settled back. When questioned, trainer L. Roche confirmed the instructions to be forward, that these instructions were the same as the previous two starts, whereby LITTLE VAIN has been slowly away and unable to race in a forward position over shorter distances. He added that the gelding was able to obtain a forward position today, which with the step up in distance was beneficial in today’s performance. Trainer L. Roche was reminded of his obligations under AR101(1) to notify Stewards of any instruction to the effect that a horse is to be ridden in a manner different to how the horse was ridden at its most recent starts.

CAPITAL CEE – Following submissions made by trainer J. Johnston, Stewards declared CAPITAL CEE a late scratching at 3:57pm due to the track upgrade. Trainer J. Johnston was advised CAPITAL CEE would have an embargo restricting the gelding from racing on tracks rated a Good 3 or better.

WATER LAD - Held up for clear running from the 400m until rounding the home turn when steadied and became unbalanced when tightened for room between SECRET ROSE and CRACKER ESSGEE which improved to the inside of WATER LAD and made contact with that runner. Apprentice R. O’Connell, the rider of CRACKER ESGEE, was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Held up for clear running from the 200m and unable to improve until the 50m. When asked to comment on the performance, apprentice A. McColm stated he was instructed to ride the gelding where comfortable. He added that his mount settled in a midfield position and travelled well in the early and middle stages. He further added that he began to place his mount under pressure from the 600m however improved up onto the heels of the weakening HIGHER CALLING and was held up and unable to improve. A. McColm stated he was held up behind other runners and unable to test his mount out in the straight.

LOVE TO BE PROUD - Slow into stride.

SECRET ROSE - Slow to begin. Bumped rounding the home turn and was steadied. Held up momentarily for clear running up on entering the straight, before again being held up between runners approaching the 150m and went to the line without being fully tested.

ALL TOO ROSEY – Trainer O. Cairns was reprimanded pursuant to AR106(2) for presenting the mare to race with blinkers which are not a part of its approved gear.

RUBAAHY - Change of tactics; attempt to lead. Settled worse than midfield. Commenced to weaken from the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be coughing. Trainer K. Kemp was advised a veterinary certificate, inclusive of an endoscopic scope, would be required prior to racing again.

THINK I'M IRISH – Began awkwardly.

HIGHER CALLING - Began awkwardly.

COCO JEWEL – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have been galloped on and have a laceration to the near hind leg, which was attended to by the on-course veterinarian. Noted to have lost the near-fore plate post-race.


Race 9 - SKY RACING CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1400 M

KOZAK PRINCE - Slow to begin. Held up for clear running from approaching the 300m until on entering the home straight.

INQUICKTIME – Held up for clear running from the 400m until approaching the 250m. Laid in under pressure shortly after entering the home straight and bumping EFFIE’S JOY.

WEEKEND SPIRIT - Began awkwardly and bumped HI TIAGO. Raced wide throughout. Approaching the 300m shifted out and bumped CHEERFUL CAT which was taken wider on the track.

CHEERFUL CAT – Approaching the 300m carried wider. Rider A. Butler reported it was his intention to settle forward, however due to the quick speed in the race, was obliged to settle further back than anticipated. He added after settling back, he was forced to make a wide early run from leaving the 500m.

EFFIE'S JOY - Trainer D. Bougoure was severely reprimanded pursuant to AR106(2) for presenting the mare to race without winkers which are a part of its approved gear.

HI TIAGO - Change of tactics; obtain lead. Led. Bumped at the start.
